Blimey! You come up with some funny fights ;D
Paulie held his own against Cotto. Khan hasn't even fought the best of British yet let alone world class.
You mean Paulie held Cotto on his own.Quote:

I think the interesting speculative fights for Khan are Thaxton, Earl, Johannseson and Mitchell, with maybe Alex Arthur further down the line.
I reckon he will get Thaxton either at the end of the year or the beginning of next year and will own him really badly.
2008 should see him in with the likes of Earl and Mitchell.
I think he destroys Earl and he's probably too big and strong for Motchell.
Johhaneson would be a great matchup though, you Carl would really tear into him. That fight wouldn't be going to points.
Not that far off seeing him at Lightwelter, he has weighed in at 137-138 for most of his matches, his last fight was the first one that he made it under 135.Quote:

at this point in time paulie would school amir.
kahn wouldnt no what to do against a fighter that could actually box exceptionally well, which paulie can. plus the magic man has a pretty good chin to!
KHAN IS WORLD CLASS SOONER EVERYONE WAKES UP AND REALISES THIS THE BETTER KEVIN MITCHELL INT FIT TO LACE HIS BOOTS AS LONG AS FRANK WARREN SETS HIM FREE AND DOESNT HOLD HIM BACK TO FIGHT MUPPETS SKYS THE LIMIT
I think this could really be on the cards in a year maybe two. If both men get through their fight and Khan gets some bigger names on his record i dont see why this fight doesnt happen. It would be a big fight and i dont no who to favour. it depends how they get on in training etc, i think it would be a good one to watch ;D
No way khan beats malignaggi...
Khan's chin has never been tested.. And althogh we know malignaggi is no banger.. I think given time buddy can help malignaggi with his power..
You mentioned that malignaggi is very hittable.. Wel..Thats not true..You just assume because paulie used the wrong game plan against cotto and traded he is hittable.. He proved both against camerena and this weekend that he can box peoples socks off.. Also yes amir has some power..He showed it saturday night..But power against bums and after seeing malignaggi take what cotto..And absolute beastly puncher can dish out.. I couldnt see khan denting paulie
If we were to say prime for prime paulie vs amir.. Then i might say well..Amir has a shot But thats assuming amir becomes a great pro and sticks on the strait and narrow..Maybe lands a big time trainer..
On the other hand..Paulie is up there now.. He might not have peaked himself yet.. He cant change that much cos he's got his habits after having fought over twenty pro fights with the same style..
But if buddy can do big things for paulie he could get better and better...
Peace
did the guy khan was fighting forget what a jab was?Quote:

why are people saying Khan would knockout Malignaggi, unless you insinuate that Khan is a bigger puncher at 140 then Cotto was :-\
Well to early to try to match these two together. Khan has virtually no good opposition experience. if this were to happen the advantage goes to Malignaggi with a good boxing showing against Khan. Who knows maybe later on things will look different but for now thats how it is.
All Khan has to do to win a world title is avoid Michael Katsidis!
Khan would UD Paulie. People are sleeping on Khan, I'm waiting for the same people to jump back on the bandwagon when Khan becomes champion.
Paulie is a good fighter but he'll never have power for the same reason he'll probably never be knocked down: he doesn't plant his feet. He's always on his toes moving around which allows for him to never take the full brunt of a punch but it also takes away from his punching power. The day Paulie tries to start punching for power will probably be the day he's knocked out because he can be hit cleanly.Quote:

Im shocked so many people think he can move up a weight and K.O a world class fighter ???
Paulie went down against cottoQuote:

But as of now, judging them for what they've done with their careers you gotta side with Paulie. Hes been in the ring with better opposition then Khan.
Khan has just scratched the surface hittting hit 10th bout I think so you really can't say much other then the kids got a future....
For now I say Paulie UD.....
Way too early to make this matchup. At this time in his career Amir would be overwhelmed by Paulie, early stopage. Fighters have to come of age, and Khan will be a world champ in time. Don't feed him to the wolves just yet. He's not ready for a legit top 10 light welterweight fighter.
I give the fight to Khan UD.Someone mentioned that paulie would give him trouble b/c he could actually box...Paulie is a new york golden gloves champ and Khan beat a 2 time cuban champ at the an international tourny and is an olympic silver medalist.Just like andre ward...their promoters are in no hurry to put them in big fights and I kinda agree.
The only people saying that khan beats malignaggi are just paulie haters.. ::** ;)
I am definitely not a Paulie hater...I just dont see how Khan is being bashed for not having a title fight, and people saying that paulie has done more...someone please elaborate.Amir's promoters aren't trying to rush him along, but in time he'll definitely get a shot.I personally don't see how paulie could knock him out or outbox him b/c Amir is technically sound IMO.
This is ridiculous. This fight can't even be considered for at least a year and...no 2 years. I guess nobody believes in the 4 year plan for a boxer anymore? I don't care what type of upside he has, Malignaggi is world class. If not, he's not to far from it. I don't like Khan headlining all these massive cards. I think he should go the way of Andre Ward, the Petersons and the Dirrells. I mean when he headlines these massive cards, the expectations become much to great much to early. David Reid syndrome. The fact that people are picking him to beat Paulie right now does not spell well for Khan imo.
Even if he did beat Malignaggi. His next fight wold be expected to be against a major contender or even a titlist. And Khan needs at least 20 bouts before he can challenge for a title.
Pualie has power. He dazed Cotto remember? He had Cotto out on his feet.Quote:

Malinaggi puts on a clinic!
Danny_Girl I said he was dazed,I never said he was out on his feet dont put words in my mouth.I cant even respond to anything you say b/c its obvious that your boxing knowledge is limited.Stay a Larry Merchant!
