yes that was good performance but what about benn getting koed by stiff jab from watson or getting stopped by eubank or almost getting stopped by anthony logan and having to pull out lucky punch to do it benn was great fighter but he was chinny as hell

benn wasnt battering watson by any means watson blocked most of benns punches benn was only about 2 rounds up and he got stopped by stiff jab im not dissing benn i love benns fighting style but fact is that benn has a suspect chin

yeah i suppose he has a suspect chin, but one reason why he is such an awesome fighter. he would either knock you out or he would get knocked out himself. and with watson i beleive he was undefeated and gave watson a good going over until he runn out of steam and then got stoped. we need more fighters like nigel benn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

watson couple of days before benn fight watched ali vs foreman and used same tactic to wear out benn but i do agree we need more fighters like benn

As much as I like Benn, I dont think Benn could beat Calzaghe. If its a later day version of Benn then Calzaghe decisions him. If its the wild early Benn then Calzaghe may very well stop him. Benn is always dangerous though.

Yeh Benn is my fave fighter of all time, but I think Calzaghe has far too much.

Benn was unreal against McClellan, but he had some really suspect performances, i.e Galvano, Logan,Malinga (both times). Calzaghe's chin is rock, I see him stopping Benn between 10 and 12 ;)

No doubt in my mind Calzaghe beats Nigel Benn,Benn even admited that himself prior to the Lacy fight.
Too skilled and fast for Nigel to handle.

I can see Calzaghe backing Benn up and unloading on him with his back to the ropes

Watch what Salem did to Calzaghe from that position. Now think of Benn in that situation.

Sorry but your posts get dumber and dumber... Calzaghe was about 6 rounds up and bust his hand and still beat reid. Most british writers give that to calzaghe. Sakio bika after the second round knew all to well he wasn't going to win that fight, and it was pretty clear to me he was making it as messy as poss so he would be able to go the full 12. Anyone with a brain would know calzaghe would fight someone like benn completley different to how he fought Sakio fucking Bika!

IMO calzaghe takes this. Benn would always have a chance coz of his crazy power, but in hi prime calzaghe could bang hard too, and has a Rock hard chin. His speed and footwork, i would expect him to pick benn apart over 8 or so rounds, i cans ee benn mabye taking a couple, but calzaghe stopping him late on.

Exactly. Calzaghe gets shat on all too easily on here. My only regret is that he isnt taking on Kessler. All this "he should have fought Hopkins or Jones" business is futile. Those 2 never wanted the fights.

The Jones fight was never going to happen, was it? Johnson? Calzaghe always injures himself when that is in the offing. Ottke was scared stiff of Calzaghe. Robin Reid was beaten and even with a damaged hand. Think if the hand wasnt damaged! Beyer, was a beltholder true enough. Calzaghe should have fought and beaten him. Tarver was never really an option until quite recently and then Hopkins knocked him out. Calzaghe should fight Kessler, Im in complete agreement there.

Yes, Warren sucks and Its a shame it has petered out like it has. Joe has great ability has had limited opportunity to really test himself.

I used to be a big fan of Frank Warrens he used to deliver but now he could'nt deliver my newspaper on time. That is very true

I these guys fought 10 ten times, I think Joe wins by UD 7 times with skill and workrate. The other 3 though, Nigel gets to him, and Joe suffers a humiliating KO defeat.

If the Nigel that got into the ring with the G-Man shows up though, I don't give Joe C much of a chance, even if he shows up like he did for the fight with Lacy.

The one thing I'm sure of, I'd have no problem forking over $50 to see this one on PPV.
