Yeah I mean I guess I should have thought about it but just 2 or 3 weeks after Floyd Sr. offered to sell his son up the river for 2 mil, he's in his son's corner and...well yeah I mean nobody knows a fighter like their trainer. He knows every single one of his fighter's weaknesses, even the ones that haven't shown up on film yet. And the fact that he is now in the gym with Floyd... :o

For a championship level fighter like Oscar, you'd think that he'd have a better straight right hand. With the type of jab that Oscar has, it's almost inexcusable that his right hand isn't as developed as it should be. He's honestly relied on his left hook for much too long. Oscar has a dynamite jab, could you imagine if he developed a straight right hand to put behind his jab? Oscar would have been a much better fighter. Hopefully he's working on it for May 5, he'll need it. Floyd's straight right makes Oscar's look like garbage.

Oscar won't see Floyds

Any edge, psychological edge, knowledge advantage he had is now gone. Having Senior, Floyd will learn all of Oscar's obscure exploits. Getting rid of him wasn't the wisest thing to do, because Floyd Sr. knows many of the nicks and crannies to Floyd Jr's.(better you knowing his flaws than him yours) Him and Roach better get to work because they have big challenge on their hands.

Plenty of fighers slap with straight punches. Hell Tommy Hearns slapped with his right hand for the longest time until about 15 fights into his pro career. And they loop with it to. Oscar does neither. Floyd has one of the better straights in all of boxing and he also relies on it a lot more then Floyd. I wouldn't call his straight right garbage just because he doesn't use it much.

Delahoya is left handed and fights from the orthodox stance (kind of like a reverse Winky Wright, who is right handed but fights from the southpaw stance) which is why his left jab and hook are so good and his right cross not so much...still though, i wouldnt underestimate it. Im sure he's put a few people to sleep with rights here and there...but they weren't Floyd Mayweather.

Cotto is another left handed orthodox fighter, but not the the same degree as Oscar. He's been using his right hand more recently, Just with technique a straight right is a very hard punch, but its tricky to land against top opposition.
