At least Mosley is really trying to do the right thing at 147.

I don't know... It's not a fight that interests me really, mainly because I have a hard time imagining Baldomir actually winning, I wouldn't expect it to be very competitive... Baldy can't even bother Shane with anything offensively, the best he could do is take a beating over 12 rds..
Im with you there. I dont think Baldomir has the skills to make the fight competitive enough to get too exited about. You never know though in this game.Quote:

Well, a winner).
Also, IMO he'd give Baldi more of a fight than Floyd did :P ;D
Definitely. Mosley doesn't have PBF's hand issues so it should be more of a bludgeoning in a Mosley victory even if it goes all 12. I think he's calling out Baldo as a means of chasing PBF. And I bet it works.
Mayweather is a way better boxer than Mosley. Baldomir would have a much easier time hitting a prime Mosley than PBF let alone a 35 year old Mosley. IMO if Mosley deserves the next shot at PBF after ODLH he has to face Baldomir and pretty much beat him unanimously.
We Don't need this fight
I'd rather see Mosley vs Cotto...and then the winner take on PBF.
Totally disagree. Waste of time at this point.Quote:

There's Saldivia, Williams, Cintron, Judah, Cotto, Margarito, & a step up or a catchweight there's Spinks, & Martinez.
Best of all there is little known but highly regarded Sergio Martinez...whom I say Mosley dodged like a bullet.
Step backwards for Mosley. If Baldomir ain't the champion, he's pretty much useless. No sense in fighting him
For being useless I say he beats almost everyone Wacko mentioned. Cotto has a weak chin, and if he can't hurt Baldomir he may lose that. Margaritto same thing except he isn't as skilled as Cotto or Baldomir. Cintron definitely has proven less than anyone else mentioned. I think Martinez would beat Baldomir, and same with Judah if they fought again, but only them I would be on beating him for sure. Paul Williams not yet... once he faces Margaritto we will see how good they are so this could be a in the mean time fight because Cotto is facing Urkal then Judah taken both of them out. Margaritto is facing Paul Williams taking those two out. THat leaves Martinez who isn't at welterweight, and Baldomir who is better known, and somebody who Mosley will be able to use as a comparison for fighting Mayweather.
Cintron could be a good match
Thing is, apart from Baldomir, the rest of the WW are all fairly big-mouthed. I expect one of them to share you views and slip up with a statement like yours.Quote:

the fight doesnt really excite me. would much rather see mosley in a bigger fight with the likes of margarito, cotto or mayweather. mosley hits harder than mayweather and he would batter baldy till the ref saved him i reckon.
So you actually think that after getting hammered out by Floyd, Baldo brings more to the table than Saldivia, Williams, Cintron, Judah, Cotto, Margarito, Spinks, or Martinez?Quote:

:coolclick: I totally agree...thing is...had he have gotten to him prior to Floyd walking through him...it might mean more. He's still worthy...but the fight at this point seems to be a step back compared to matching against the other names. Baldo impressed the hell outta me against Judah & Gatti & running undefeated for 19 fights was a damned fine accomplishment...it just ended @ Floyd...as is the case with most fighters & their accomplishments.Quote:

Wait for Cintron,Margarito, fight a prospect like Julio? um,clottey,Williams(if the Margarito fight does not come off due to litigation),there's just many more enticing and exciting fights, than Baldo!Quote:

Although I believe Mosley to be a true warrior,he would certainly have problems with those 2 huge WW's styles.Quote:

El Gamo..name 1 quality fighter that kermit cintron has on his resume????You must be basiing this off of records alone!I give Antonio diaz credit. You mentioned Clottey?lol..wtf..sure he has a great record but who can you name on his list of wins?Margo is a C+ fighter until he beats P.williams
Suarez and Reid were decent fighters but it wasn't just that but also, that he was hyped to KTFO Tony,he's a ko machine and has gone on to win a title after his loss to the TJ tornado! Clottey was beating Baldo's ass,I had 7rounds to 3 for Joshua until the DQ. Clottey is one of those fighters who truly is ducked,Tony is the only name fighter who has given him a chance and he showed he belonged.Quote:

I give him 1 name...Diaz.For you to say that clottey has been ducked.Where do you get your info from?Suarez and Reed were decent fighters...Hell who isnt a decent fighter these days?Explain Margos 4 losses...or are you gonna tell me that those guys were great fighters too?
Baldomir is a good safe fight for Shane...he'll look WONDERFUL vs Carlos
its pointless IMO...I'd rather see Mosley vs Cotto or Mosley vs Hatton...then the winner take Mayweather
well of course but given the fact that Cotto is fighting Judah after his success vs Urkal Mosley vs Baldomir gives them both time to get ready for each other before fighting Margarito or Mayweather or Hatton or De la HoyaQuote:

mosley shouldn't waste time now....he should make moves to fight only the very best before he can't anymore...baldomir aint the best...judah aint the best...alot of fighters you guys mentioned, however, are up there with the "best."
I'd prefer to see Mosley move back up & fight Travis Simms. Simms is the man to beat at 154. Plus it leaves Mosley aroung the same weight as the winner of Mayweather/ DLH!
Agreed that Clottey showed he belonged. ;D Margarito should really give him a rematch. Maybe after Clottey KOs Corrales.Quote:
