Two supreme talents that just seem to lack one ingredient to being the complete package, who would win?
For some reason, I see an 11th round KO happening, but I'm not sure who's hand would be raised.
bowe he has much better chin and he is a big man and he would be able to get close to wlad because he is round about same height as wlad and and he would ko wlad not sure when but he definetly would
prime bowe kos that china chin klit :P
Made me LOL! china chin!!!Quote:

sort of reveals how you look at life..as to who you vote for.
I would give Bowe a chance now if he was in good shape Wlads chin is useless when anyone dare hit him on it
I've always felt that the Bowe that beat Evander was one of the best HW's I've ever seen. So if that guy showed up I'd pick him for a mid round KO. If the guy who fought Golota showed up then I'd pick Wlad with a 8th round Ko
Beat Wladimir? Hell Bowe could'nt give Golota a proper ass whooping. ;)
Well it depends.....the Prime Riddick bowed who blasted Evander Holyfield out would beat almost anyone....anything after that Wlad would stop him.
So pre-Golota Bowe wins by TKO
and post-Golota Bowe gets TKO'd
I'm a Wlad Klitschko fan but you have to give Riddick his props!

Actually yeah thats a good point, Bowe was fairly inconsistant as far as conditioning and focus goes.Quote:

bowe was out of shape in first fight prolly over 2 stone his prime weight then in rematch he had brain damage and had lost like 50 pounds in less than 2 months making him feel weight drained and prime golota is good fighter he just hates people who attack him from opening bell but prime golota is dangerous he has good jab good power good workrate and not bad chin its just his heart is shite and your saying bowe couldnt beat golota then why couldnt wlad beat sanders purity lamon brewster ??Quote:

Right now we can't really say "prime for prime" because you have to define what Wladimir's prime is.....was it before Corrie Sanders? Before Ross Purrity??? Has it even happened yet???
I lean towards the 'has it even happened yet' answer because Wlad has fought and beat good fighters but hasn't truly been tested fight after fight after fight.....he's starting to but every fight is up in the air you know? You never know what you'll get with him and I think that makes him and Riddick Bowe very similar....they over train, they under train, only Bowe took a hell of a lot of punishment and didn't panic...Wlad sort of panics but he can take a hell of a punch without being sparked out cold....he can't keep his balance but he can get back up and you have to give him that.
I believe that a prime Riddick Bowe would have a field day with Wlad, now don't get me wrong Wlad has a punchers chance no doubt, he throws a terrific str8 right hand, and has a decent jab, it comes off fast and is very accurate , However Wlad has no rhythm , and flat footed ..., Bowe on the other hand was a complete fighter.. set up combinations well , set a good pace over the course of a match , Bowe had very good foot placement . Eddie Futch had him sharp as a tack for a few years ! Bowe's prime was fairly short do to his own personal demise .
Wlad is VERY athletic...he's not as robotic as people like to think....I believe the way he sets up his right cross leads more people to think he's robotic as he'll jab and then swat down with the jab to uncover the defense and land the right cross.
Wlad has a good solid rhythm, he's no Mike Tyson but he has fast hands and can land some deadly combinations.
Don't sell Wlad short just because Riddick was so damn impressive....Wlad has his moments as well

wlads chin is too weak lyle and he gets caught bowe would get to wlad in the end and prime bowe wouldnt let wlad survive either wlad has good straight right and good jab but so does bowe wlad hasnt got that greatest stamina either and thats big flaws against prime bowe but lets be honest wlad has quite few bad flaws how many bad flaws can you name with prime bowe ??Quote:

Wlad gets knocked down too much...I won't argue with you about that...his defense has improved but you notice he ALWAYS gets back up. He might not know what to do when he gets hit hard but he knows what to do when he hits the canvas and that's GET BACK UP.
He has NEVER been sparked out unconscious....neither has Bowe but give the man SOME credit.
i give him credit lyle he is great fighter but against prime bowe he would be tkoed im sorry lyle but prime bowe is round about same height and he would get to him in end no way on this earth wlad could keep prime bowe off him for 12 rounds and even if he managed to keep bowe off him for say 7 or 8 rounds he would have to work so hard to do that and his stamina would let him down and he would be tkoedQuote:

Riddick let Holyfield back into the fight everytime they fought. Riddick let Golota dictate the pace of their fights. It's almost like Riddick didn't want to throw first.
Wlad HAS to dictate the pace because of his weaknesses...Bowe just had one hell of a chin, he could take ANYTHING.
Bowe was a great great fighter
I understand your view ICB BUT when is Wlad's Prime??? Wlad is only 30 he COULD (unlikely as it may be) still improve on his style. Remember one Lennox Lewis who's prime happened later in his career than earlier??? Wlad MAY be the same way which makes it more difficult to say how Wlad would do.
So far Wlad completely dominates the fighters his own size like Bowe, mainly because of his sharp jab, HOWEVER none of the big fighters he has fought had the skill and physical abilities of Riddick Bowe
this is good point lyle shame in this era he wont ever fight anyone as skilled as bowe only fighter who is very skilled and has iron chin is vitali but that fight wont ever happen sadly wlad wont ever have a chance to fight great fighter which is a shameQuote:

If this is a hypothetical matchup, prime for prime, bowe would absolutely murder Wladimir....... I honestly believe it wouldn't last until the mid rounds.... Bowe(at his peak) had a lot more talent the Wlad. He hit harder, was faster, tougher, was a far beter boxer.. It wouldn't even be close.
prime for prime. bowe would wear him down en route to a late stoppage win.
for a big man bowe was a good inside fighter who would prove too durable for wlad
think its an easy one for bowe with knockout early to mid rounds, bowe was pretty awesome in his prime could of been an all time great if he had stayed off the burgers
totally agree. sad waste of talent. i think the bowe that beat holyfield in 92 could possibly have beaten any heavyweight in historyQuote:

Wladimir is a very smart fighter and figures out his opponents weaknesses and exploits them.To think Wladimir couldn't get to Bowe is rediculous. This fight would be almost an even matchup with the power edge going to Wladimir. There wasn't one guy who Bowe fought that could punch as hard or as acurate as Wladimir.I couldn't say one would dominate the other I think it would be a very competative fight.
thats were your wrong i give wlad credit but only advantage wlad has over bowe is power and prolly jab bowe has much better stamina speed chin inside work and workrate and no one said wlad wouldnt get to bowe of course he would but bowes granite chin would take them shots from wlad and then wlads weak chin and suspect stamina would let him downQuote:

anyone know what wlads diet is because i remember james quick tillis had stamina problems then he went to doctors and changed his diet and then his stamina was fine like when he fought tyson his stamina was fine after changing his diet this could be case with wlad aswellQuote:

He has done better at being patient like Lennox Lewis did....and his defense has improved as well
because when bowe was shot and weight drained i see golota give bowe one of worst beatings ever in hw divison he got battered and still stayed on his feet and tried to comeback his chin is like granite and im pretty sure he would take wlads powerQuote:

I know this sounds crazy, but you would be surprised how many fighters have slight infections, just enough to sap your strength. the little cuts and nicks you get in the gym, you don't even realize your sick, its just enough to sap your energy and make you feel bit fatigued.Quote:
