Was Teddy right shouting this at the referee in the last two rounds of the Ricky Quilles-Nate Campbell fight last night? ??? ???
I didn't watch it but Teddy always loves to do his grandstanding whether it's stopping a fight, boxing politics or whatever....he likes getting on his soapbox and letting everyone hear him
Teddy is a boxing god. If he wants a fight waved off, he's probably right.
My fav. part of ESPN:FNF is watching Teddys hand speed as he demosntrates what each fighter needs to do in order to win.
Thats classic.... ;D
Teddy like drama! Teddy likes to entertain you and he does a damn! good job at it, I don't necessairly agree with shit! he says or does but nonetheless it's entertaining.... :)
He was right last night. The fight went on far too long
Teddy was a bit theatrical with all that, but he was right.. The fight was dominated in such a way that Quilles had no shot of winning the match, and Quilles does not carry a punch, only 8 KO’s on his record , hell he needed a knockout just to get a draw in this match ! LMFAO.. It was that one sided.. I think you can make a case for stopping a fight like that , on the grounds of non competitiveness . Why let a guy just get killed in a mismatch ? O0
i didn't see the inccedent so my post is pretty irrelevant but personally i respect pretty much everything that comes out of teddys verbally impared mouth.
Teddy is funny , he finally starts yelling with like 30 seconds left in the last round...fight should have been stopped in the 10th.If any stoppage was coming.I think Quiles knew he was beaten and couldnt knock Nate out, he messed up and tried to go toe to toe.
It was hillarious. He was going on about how the fight needed to be stopped and then he comes out and says, "I'm going ask the ref to stop this fight" At that point it went silent for a couple seconds. I could picture Teddy getting up and Tessitore leaning back and rolling his eyes.
"REF! REF! STOP THIS FIGHT REF!" At the top of his lungs, his voice even scratched a couple times. He went on for about a minute. Then he stopped and said "Well I'm sorry if that was unprofessional but it needed to be said." And in all honesty, it did. Quiles did nothing but run away that last round but the small ring let Nate cut him off at will and tag Quiles.
Teddy Atlas should have kept his mouth shut. He almost cost me 4 points in the prediction contest. Maybe Atlas was trying to win his own prediction contest...
I disagree, I think the referee should have listened to Teddy (Memphis did not watch this fight) and bagged me the points instead ;D
When I was watchin the fight I was thinking, ok just let it go on I picked Cambell UD in the prediction contest. I had those 7 points chalked up already until this morning I looked and I put KO >:mad
STOP THE DAMN FIGHT REF!
It would be the greatest thing ever if we saw Atlas calling a fight in July in his very own TEAM HATTON jersey. ;DQuote:

He has his soapbox moments but I enjoy his commentary most of the time. He talks from a cornerman's perspective, something I wish Manny would do more of on HBO.Quote:

if you don't mind me asking, what do you not like about him ? The man speaks from experience , very knowledgeable guy . a bit theatrical at times which is annoying . However Atlas for the most part is spot on with his analysis of fighters and what is taking place inside the ring . O0Quote:

CC...I agree about Teddys credentials. In fact, I respect his opinion over anyone else's as far as commentators go. He's not bias, gives great breakdowns before the fights and defintely knows what he's talking about.Quote:

The taller man. lol That has to be his best line and also

Sometimes I like Teddy and sometimes I don't.
I guess I respect Teddy for going after Tyson with a gun for phuking with his teenage sister in law? Niece?? when they were kids. and he also went after Lalonde because of some money owed? LOL
Teddy is ok but anyone who thinks he is the grand master picker of boxing outcomes?
Didnt he pick Mayorga over ODLH?
Did he not also pick MAB over PAC?
I think he over analizes things and this is why I hate to hear people try to talk about how much boxing knowledge they have. It's all hot air.
Teddy talks too much IMO and I think he takes away from some of the action of certain fights. That is if there is any real action and Teddy is telling a story, he wont stop yapping and get back to what's going on in the ring.
I don't know what to think about Teddy. There is a lot to this man. I guess he is still great, despite all his flaws. Aint no one perfect.

I think I might hate him more than you. I turn it on mute whenever they start talking about his charitable work just because I don't want any reason to hate him less.Quote:

LMFAO ;D ;D ;D ;D ;DQuote:

I know Atlas sounds like he has a mouth full of Anaesthetic, but the way Merchant talks sometimes is just laboured and irritatingly predictable.
He's the worst at making counter comments becuase he is just slow minded yet on top of that, he's narcissistic with it too! >:mad
"Ruiz' right hand hurt Roy more that Roy's right hand hurt Ruiz". :cwm33: >:mad
Haha , i was just thinking about that :coolclick:Quote:

Total agreement with that! Lampley gets excited for no reason and Kellerman's eyeballs threaten to pop out.Quote:

I'm just happy someone took that damn pen away from him, that shat was gettin old fast.
i think it was during a b-hop fight when larry merchant goes "WHAT IS HE DOING?WHAT IS HE DOING?WHAT IS THE REFEREE DOING?
that was funny.

Yep, Teddy thought he was fukin John Madden or some shat. ;DQuote:

His comments actually enhance a fight for me, pointing out little things that I as a viewer should be looking out for that I would otherwise miss, fighters circling the wrong way against a southpaw, crossing legs when moving side to side, getting inside and then then stepping back without moving the head to the side creating an unnecessary risk etc.Quote:

Joe Rogan annoys the hell outta me. He's got a freakin Man Crush on Tito Ortiz. And he says stupid ass things like, "Matt Hughes is Stupid strong. " Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. ::**Quote:
