Robert Stieglitz looses to Alejandro Berrio by tko in rnd 3...

After winning the first two rnds Stieglitz was downed two times and before a 3rd time
the ref sopped the bout with something like half a minute to go in rnd 3...
Alejandro Berrio is new IBF Super Middleweight Champion...

No... like I said Stielitz won the first 2 rnds,but was caught with a right hook(I think it was
a right hook...damn shorttime memory ;D )and Stieglitz did go down,came up fast again,
was again hit, did go down again,but this time was really wobbled...the ref gave the fight
open again but Stieglitz was pushed in the corner and didn't fight back...end of story...
But keep in mind Alejandro Berrio can really punch...of his victories he won all but one by KO...

Yup Stiegltz showed a lack of heart IMO, i thought he could continue, it was a bit of a freitas. Berrio has a wicked right cross.

Over rated Seb Sylvester on now, btw I find it very strange how the Germans applaud the referee. German fans are the worst homers in boxing.

Sorry Johnny, nothing personal but on the whole there has been more robberies due to "applauded" refs in Germany than any other, I'm not biased ;) But also, I think the further titles stay out of Germany the better, for the good of the sport. Sorry dude.

I love Germany as a place though, I lived in Berlin for 9 months, bratwurst are my favourite, and frickadellas (sorry can't spell it) too. Currywursts, still make them now, with ketchup and curry powder.

Stieglitz had heart to win the FIRST fight. Did you see the highlights on ESPN2 of their first fight? Stieglitz pulled that one out Gatti style. May have ruined him as a fighter from what I saw.

Maybe, it was very Freitas like how he quit, I won't condemn him for quitting, a fighter should know when they've had enough, it's just a little dissapointing when you know they can do more.

Isn't ammonia used for smelling salts, to wake up a drowsy fighter?

Good stoppage, not like it was a title fight or anything. I hate it when they go on too long those, he wasn't throwing back.

Just finished watching this fight. Stieglitz was, is nothing special. He would of been a weak champion if he would of won. Berrio is not much better. But his power looks to be for real. That alone will make him dangerous.

Heh what do you know, Im off to a good start in the sportsbook with that pick.. Now I just need Allan Green and Vasquez to win tonight..... :-\

TV rights could be a major stumbling block for a Kessler-Berrio fight. Saurland would want it on their usual ARD transmittions and that would ruin any chance of Palle getting a danish PPV revenue. Palle is not gonna make the same mistake as they did for the Beyer fight again.
Sure Sauerland could be pursuaded to leave ARD out of this fight. But that would IMO take more money than Palle will be able/willing to spend.
For that reason alone i think it'll be a hard fight to make.

It's going to be either Haussler or Beyer against Berrio next.

Then hopefully Lucian Bute will get a shot.

PS: Is it just me or that 8 count for the second knock down was VERY long. Like at least 12-13 seconds. lol
