I said it before when Vic 1st came on the scene and talks of this fight came about and I'll say it again Arce stops Vic. 8)

Arce i loove but he plays right into Vics hands and gets stopped late !

I hope we do but I want to see Vic face someone first just to see how he is holding up after putting Burgos in the hospital. Couple things I read said he was a wreck :-\

It's a terrible thing, it effected Emile Griffith greatly and probably prevented him from him being in the same breath as the all time greats because he lost the ability to close fights after the tragic Peret fight. We just saw Jesus Chavez come back and not look his best. Benn was obviously never the same fighter after his bout with McClellan.

I want to see the fight just as much as anyone else but I want to see how Vic handles himself in the ring first.

I think the opposite too, Vic takes Arce out in 9 or 10. But it's a fight I'd love to see. A guaranteed war!!!

Have been waiting for that one for a while now. With Vic's recent form it is inevitable if he can continue. Why the ref didn't stop that last fight is beyond me also. And it's also good to see Arce is actually paying attention now.

from what ive seen vic has no style and little skill. hes just a brawler and he overpowers everyone. i think if he face someone with heart and skill like arce he will get broken down and ko or decisioned. remember wat happen to mayora when he fought de la hoya or hamed when he fought barrera. both were brawlers but when put against someone with skill they could not deal with it. i think arce has the skills to outbox vic and possibly stop him late.

You sir get CC#7 on me cause you like me see it this way.... Vic winds up his punches sooooo much that I think Arce will take adavantage of.... Now neither Vic or Arce have the best defense around and they both pretty much throw caution to the wind BUT I think Arces chin is better then Vics.....
Also how often do you see Vic putting punches together, some good combos? No often, he waits around tooo long and winds up on one punch at a time..... I think Arces skill is better as he moves well and puts punches together.... Arce has to fight smart in the sense that he can't just stand there and trade he needs to mix it up, cause Arces starting to show the signs of having fought 50 fights so he needs to mix it up....

I think it's simply a matter of whether Arce can withstand the assault of Vic, and if he can, then I don't think Vic can withstand the persistent attack of Arce - he'll bring down Vic into submission by the later rounds. Or maybe I'm underestimating the heart of Vic.

Gosh I'm glad to hear Arce say that. I cannot STAND Darchinyan!!! his ridiculous style! He has 0 defence,his power is P4P for sure but I dont' see much else. IF Arce can handle his power,land those combinations,get on the inside of those looooooooong,awkward punches,Jorge can win this.

I think Aussie Vic is a mini Pacman .

There's a difference between running your mouth and actually doing something about it. Let me show you an example of getting shit done. And not just running your mouth. Lorenzo Parra who's from Venezuela went to Puerto Rico to take Eric Morel title and become champion. He defended it against Japanese challenger Takefumi Sakata in Japan for his first defense. For his second defense he takes on former champion Korean Yo Sam Choi in Korea. Than it's back to Japan for defense number 3 against Trash Nakanuma. He stays in Japan for defense number 4 which is the rematch against Takefumi Sakata. Than it's off to Paris France to take on former highly touted prospect Brahim Asloum. All title defenses in his opponents home town. That's getting shit done. The Asloum fight was Parra last fight, due to injuries and failure to make at big fight. One of the reasons was that Parra offered to fight Vic in his adopted home town of Australia. But Vic never responded. He instead decided to fight Jair Jimenez who was 22-4.

I take it that Parra called Vic out in a little known Venezuelan local country newspaper! Vic has only recently been known. And it doesn't matter where Parra called out Vic. Point is Vic got the message and ignored it. Just to fight a 22-4 fighter. Vic is a one-dimensional slugger who would get token to school by Parra and broken down by Arce. It's the reason why all Vic does is run his mouth and nothing else.

In an interview I saw with darchinyan, all he was concerned about was collecting all the belts. To do that, you have to fight the best. He has dates to fight for his promoters, he calls out the big names, and they dont come to the party. But he still has an obligation to fill the date.

To true bro, guys wanna talk about Parra, his competition ain't been any better than Darchinyans maybe worse! I heard Parras fighting Sakata again? How many times does he need to beat the same guy? You can't just blame Vic for fights not happening, it takes two to tango & all I've even heard Vic talk about is unifying.

At 112 the only guy fights Arce took were Alvarez & Hussein, he fought 2 other guys iin 3 fights nstead of stepping up then decided to run to another division instead of tying to take care of business!

Arce is the one who is avoiding Darchinyan in my book!

Vic K.O.'s both Parra & Arce, I don't think the Parra fight will even be close. The best fighter he fought in Morel was one of those guys that suddenly turned terrible over night!!!

WOW what planet have you all been on!! Vic Darchinyan throws fast powerful punches from almost anywhere. He is a devastating fighter and can be competative with anyone at his weight. Can't wait to see the fight no matter what the outcome.

Vic looks so fwocking ridiculous the way he prowls around the ring,with his hands by his side. Arce can get him on the ropes,inside of those long looping punches and can bang away with his combinations and the cumulative effect will wear Vic down. Also,I'd love to see VIc v a slick boxer,he would be made to look silly!

Pacheco was a good opponent,but I do not think he was at Arce's level. Lets just hope Jorge gets past the slick Mijares,then we shall see. And out will go the "Vic being ducked by Arce"(ridiculous) comments. Like I have said from the beginning,Arce ducks NO ONE.

guarantee vic has shown everyone his cabinet display of the belts he has won. That cabinet isnt full. The best thing about this division is that the best fighters have the belts. If arce wanted to fight the best in the division, he would have stayed. He blows a lot of hot wind.

...On the second thought, there's no way for Arce to just go on taking Vic's punches, as tough as he might be, cuz if he does that, it'll end up something like the Barrera-Pac fight, with the tough Barrera just taking too much power shots. So Arce got to use some boxing skills and try to outpunch Vic and see if he can hurt him or maybe just settle with a decision if he is unable to do so. But will the tough, macho Arce do that? That is the question...

Hey my man,I've been online here and there,i come on ALOT during fridays,sturdays and Sundays. How have you been? Still posting I see? Thats good. The thing with Darchinya is that he winds his punches up soooooooooooooooooo much,has his hands down alllllllllllll the time,so Arce should easily be able to blaock and land his much faster punches and he throws in combinations too.

As much as I really REALLY dig the shit outta Arce...I just think that Vic will prove to awkward & heavy handed for Arce because once you connect flush with Arce he abandons all boxing reason, squares up, & goes to war.

Seems like Darchynian can pretty much gut it out to the finish...the question is: Can Arce?

Parra offered to fight him in Australia. He was more than willing to come to the party. Vic didn't want him there. He instead made 22-4 Jimenez the guest of honor.

Vic is definitely a strong guy in his division with lot of power. This make very difficult to stop him. However, a good skilled fighter with a good punch and good chin can beat him passing his wide open punches. Arce is a fighter who may stop Vic, but he has to be very careful of not being KO first.
