Re: Fave fighters and most overated
Phenom fancy going out for a drink i think we'd have lots to talk about .
Tito was mentally strong he got up of the deack many a time to rebound i just think Middle was a bridge to far .
Toney what did he do and who did he beat in their prime to justify such a lofty postion in so many peoples eyes ?
Im not a massive fan of De la hoya personally but he has fought the best on the way to the top .
Floyd sucks ass so completely
Why dont people like Vargas ?
Hopkins is just an oppurtunist chain snatcher his complete no shows against Taylor and Eastman emphasise that he only took it too little men .
No really a Gatti fan either but he certainly wasn't the worst .
Seriously about that drink , im busy :'( didn't mean to get your hopes up

Re: Fave fighters and most overated
My favourite fighter is without a doubt Marco Antonio Barrera. I always love to watch him fight, he can have massive wars and slugfests and can also outbox just about anyone. Im really looking forward to his clash with Marquez next week and im expecting a great performance.

I can't see how you think Tszyu was over rated when 50% of all of his fights were against World Champions! He actually wins against a former World Champ in only his 4th fight! Explanation?

Re: Fave fighters and most overated
I think it's funny that just about everyone who's posted in this thread has listed either Barrera or Morales among their favorites, yet I haven't seen anyone who's listed both of them.
I guess that's the sign of a true rivalry. If you root for one, it's awfully hard to bring yourself to root for the other guy, even if you've got respect for them.

Re: Fave fighters and most overated
Favs
SRL
Duran
JCC
Wilfredo Gomes (KO% Just scary)
Tyson Before he got arrested
Tito Trinidad (The only two men who beat him are currently top 10 P4P)
Eric Morales
Current Favs
PACMAN
Rafael Marquez
Shane Mously
Barrera (There I named both lol)
Oscar DLH (I'm a Tito fan not a De la Hoya hater, his fights are alwais fun, I wish he and Tito would go at it again, it would be a much better fight than the first IMO)
Jorge Arce Fun to watch
Overrated (I like most of the fighters on this list, but they are overrated non-the-less)
Oscar DLH (Much is made about his titles in six weight divisions but who really thinks he was the real champion on all of them, certanly not me. Also, name me one great fighter in his prime he didn't eather lose to or given a very very very close decision.)
PBF (I don't expect him to beat DLH, but if he would unify the welterweight division then I would say he is not overrated. He is good but he needs more names on his resume)
Tyson after he came back ( He won a couple of fights with a couple of bums and everyone yelled "Tyson is back!". The trueth is he was never back.
Cotto ( I like this guy but for a man who has yet to beat a champion for the title (both his titles were vacant when he won them) he is given way to much credit. Like PBF he should try to unify the welterweight division and get more names on his resume.)
The entire heavy weight division...
