What's the most unbelievable thing you saw in boxing that wasn't a knockout? IMO it was Hagler getting his head cracked open by Hearns right hand 5 seconds into the fight and still coming forward as if nothing happened.

Aaron Pryor getting his head almost detached by Alexis's right hand. Forget what round it is in, but Alexis hits him and you see Pryor's head snap back like a pez dispenser and he just kept coming forward like it was nothing.
CC totally agree, never seen anything like it,I thought Pryor's neck was going to snap/out of place! Amazing!Quote:

Off the top of my head the first Barrera - Morales fight, round 5. Looked like Barrera was in trouble taking hard shots and then came back quick as a flash pinning Morales to the ropes. One of my fav fights (and rounds) ever!
corrales getting knocked down twice only to comeback and stop castillo in same round amazing
cc.....I thought for sure Corrales was finished, but spitting out his mouthpiece boutght him enough time to regroup.Quote:

But then the cops stopped the films from rolling :(
How about Marciano's nose flapping in and out every time he breathed because it was split at the nostril? That was brutal.
Or Whitakers behind the back punch to the head of McGirt.
Rahman's head growth against Holyfield.
The double knockdown against Bundrage.
Gatti's hands down against the ropes taking 7 unanswered power punches and being seemingly out of it before slipping away and coming back strong.
To many...
Fan man crashing into the ropes during one of the Holyfield Bowe fights.
Matt Skelton turning Ali and dancing his way to UD win over Danny Williams.
Some other unbelievable things but not necessarily "great":
Bowe - Golota: Insane riot
Bowe - Tillery: Tillery's kickboxing
Holyfield - Tyson: Ear biting
Tyson: "I broke my BACK"
Roy Jones Jr - Park Si-Hun: The decision
Augustus - Oliviera: Augustus' double punch
Barrera slaming Naseem Hamed into the corner face first
Aww CC, you stole mine..damn. What about fanman, and Oliver McCalls breakdown, or Mills Lane pushin Bernard Hopkins out of the ring and ending the fight....

That's mine for sure. Hideous and fascinating.
If we're talking amazing chins, let's add, for one, Tex Cobb against Holmes.Quote:

How Gatti is able to still form sentences is a mystery to me. He has taken alot of punishment in his career.Quote:

Well this seems like an appropriate time to big up round 7 of last night's fight, it was everything that you could ever want from boxing compressed into three minutes of vicious, explosive bliss.
Otherwise it would be Joe Calzaghe schooling the over-hyped Jeff Lacy, who was going in as favourite.
Every time felix trinidad ever entered an arena..
I know you said no knockouts but felix trinidad snappy Luis Ramon ( Yuri Boy) Campas' head right back and over the top rope for the stoppage win..
All Roy Jones jr's trickery
James Toney's attitude and the sincerity to his egotistical ways that makes him such a great person to watch
Barrera's Constant comebacks to remain a great top level fighter
Of course Mike tyson biting holyfeilds ear...
The plain fact that Johnny tapia has been through all he has been through and continues to live and have to suffer more and more pain and anguish in his life and you start to think.. Could it be time for johnny to pass instead of his life just bieng one long mad story.. Sad thought but not unreasonable
Mine was the Tito vs Vargas match when I was all nervous and worked up and Tito put Vargas on queer street with the first punch he landed. That was a thing of beauty and probably my favorite boxing moment of all time.
What made it all better is that Vargas was able to recoup and make it a fight. Just so happens he was better of just losing in the first cause it ruined his career.
Roy Jones Jr landing a TRIPLE uppercut on Mike McCallum in what seemed like a millisecond! O0
Wow. Thanks for those links. Did I hear Panama Lewis say, "Give me the bttle I mixed?" ??? ??? ??? ???
Just going by ones that I saw live in tv (ie not recorded where I already knew outcome or from history)
some mentioned already
Bowe Holyfield round 10 (or was it 11?)
Holyfield flooring Bowe in their third fight (didn't think Bowe would recover from it)
and our very own Frank Bruno getting starched with a punch but staying on his feet and bell saving him - this was when Bruno was unbeaten, I can't remember name of opponent - anyone help ?? Basically he stood there in suspended animation and was basically unconscious but on his feet !! He went on to win !
