In 3 rd. Good for him
but the fight was stopped out of nowhere, its not like maddalone had even been slightly phased dfor a split second
Did they show the Brock fight? I know it was KO1, so was the guy a slouch or what?
and again he used that headbutt tactic...
Yes the old boxing 1-2 combo is great
but evanders 1-2-3 is better jab-cross-headbutt lol
Maddalone's corner stopped the fight.
Evander Holyfield head butting again what a surprise
This time it really wasn't his fault. Maddalone led in with his head...Maddolone wasn't necessarily going down but he was taking a pretty bad beating
yea, they showed itQuote:

Anyone got this fight????? I want to see Commander Vander
Its not on youtube or Google yet
ok holyfiel has a very large hard head so when people run into it they get hurt and people say o real deal buted him ..............
ne way i think holyfied looked strong and can win another title if he stays away from klitchko amean he could possibly beat him but i wouldnt take that risk if i was him i would fight sum1 else ................ and all u guys mustve not seen the replay ... vinny was tough as hell but tough guys get more permanent injuries did u see what holyfield was htiing him with? strong crazy punches
yeah awesome evander 8)
i want all these old boys to carry on winning. tua, the duke, and evander
Evander looked great last night. Actually dancing around in the first round he looked more agile than any current heavyweight.
I really think he can go on and do something in the division now. I'd love to see him in with Shannon Briggs, that would be a great stylistic matchup for him and he would take him out in style.
The guys he needs to stay away from on the way up are awkward boxers like Tony Thompson, someone who won't come forward and trade with him. Against a more come forward guy he's going to always look good.
Evander has always been one of my favorite fighters, I think he has shown that the shoulder injury must have been legit and it was obviously hampering him. As far as what he can do? I still think we have to see how Evander handles someone with 1. good handspeed to test his reflexes. Byrd and Toney hit him at will. 2. A fighter that can really pressure him and take him deep into a fight to test his stamina. I've always felt that the extra muscle he carries at HW has adversely effected his stamina through the years.
Holyfield is calling for a title shot now.....that while not strange is a bit of a step for such a man as Evander.
I think Holyfield should fight McCall and some other guys but if he wants a title shot go ahead and take it.
If the Wlad-Brewster rematch doesn't happen then Holyfield could be a good choice for Wlad to keep busy with.....just watch the head though
"evander using his head" - that guy was charging into him head first! evander wasn't using his head to butt him maddalone was head first into him and it was his own fault
This statement makes me fwockin chuckle : Saturday night, four-time heavyweight champion Evander “Real Deal” Holyfield showed boxing fans that his quest to be the first five-time heavyweight champion could be valid, as he destroyed Vinny Maddalone from Queens, New York, in three rounds at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
What's so funny you ask?
The fact that someone actually considers a win over Maddalone valid. ::** :P
It was a very good fight. Evander was very sharp with his jab and threw a tremendous amount of accurate punches. A very entertaining heavyweight match ! if you have not seen it, you should.. It's refreshing to see 2 Heavyweights that want to win ! Hats off to Vinny for coming to fight. O0
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Priceless ;)Quote:

How many more "tune up" fights does he need? He needs to get pushed to the head of the class and be done with it.
Wouldn't mind seeing Holyfield Vs. Briggs.
Trust me...I'd rather watch my own turds go swirling down the bowl as I gave tithings to the porcelin god before I sat through another Holyfield fight! Now...add Malone to that...& I'd be watching me own vomit racing my turds to the finish line!Quote:

yeah the thing is Evander now looks ready to step up.. He's got that rust off ! BG the match was a 3 round War.. with Evander being very accurate with his shots . at the end of fight. Evander did not look winded a bit. In my estimation Holyfield could beat any of the current champions including Wlad Klitchko .. He would beat Briggs on work rate alone. It would be an intriguing match . O0Quote:

Heh heh heh. :-X
Fecal matters...it really does. Heh heh heh.
Yes...it is Sunday eve...& yes...I am once again on the sauce. :drunks:
What’s tonight’s poison Wacko ? I wish I could join you brother . I love to Eat and Drink with me mates ! nothing brings me greater pleasure, unfortunately for me it would be counter productive to me goals at the moment.
Better off for it, mate. The piss steals any and all ambition out of you.Quote:

Maddalone needs to get out, a championship is not in his cards and his sheer toughness will get him into alot of trouble later...I have never seen a heavyweight throughtout his career take a many clean hard shots as Vinny has and not been negatively affected later in life...Even when Vinny wins they are always wars and he absorbs a lot of punishment...He should stop now before he ends up like Jerry Quarry...
As for Holyfield he looked sharper than he has in the past ten years...His legs appear back, he was relaxed with very nice hand speed and combinations...gone was that pained look he seemed to have everytime he tried to put more than two punches together...Evander beats all reigning champs except for Vlad...
Agreed, However I think Evander has a very live shot at beating Wlad also . Wlad poses some problems , Wlad is a very good fighter with very strong jab and right hand , but if Evander can take what he have , and then get ! He could have Wlad looking up at the stars ! O0Quote:
