Diego Corrales IMO I never liked him and I never thought he was all that great.
Totally out classed by PBF. Diego knew he was going to the joint and he aint been the same since then. Overated.
Floyd has not beat anyone else since?
Right?
Let's take a look.
Victoriano Sosa went 12 and was out boxed by Floyd.
Same guy moved up and was destoyed in 4 by Cotto. Not only was Sosa outboxed by Cotto, he was destroyed and ultimately chased back down to 135 one fight later.
Phillip N'dou. Phillip N' WHO? No one knows who this South African is. Has only been knocked out one other time. Was Ko'ed by Floyd in the 7th. Phillip N'dou moved up the ranks fighting complete nobodys a la Kelly Pavlik opponents with terrible records.
DeMarcus Corley. Not the best fighter out there but a good journeyman. He went 12 with Zab and Floyd but was ultimately beatin down in a sometimes seasaw battle against Cotto.
Ref saved Corley from Cotto's wrath and stopped the fight in 5. Too many knees says you aint fighting. You are trying to survive.
Henry Bruseles. No one knows who he is. Was knocked the puck out by PBF in the 8th.
Arturo Gatti. Old past his prime. Was knocked the puck out by ODLH 6 years ago @ 147. Gatti's face is so tender from all the scar tissue, I could throw buttered pop corn at him and hit him in the face which would cause swelling. Knocked out by PBF in the 6th @ 140.
W 40 (31 ko's) | L 8 | D 0 | Total 48 bad record and should retire.
Sharmba Mitchell. Old azz southpaw who was destroyed twice by Kostya Tszyu in 2001 and 2004. Looks like Floyd is bottom feeding from Kostya Tszyu's dumpster.
Zab Judah. Destoyed by Kostya Tszyu in under 2 rounds. Went the distance with Floyd. An ok fight. We knew Zab was not all that and his loss against Carlos Manuel Baldomir was confirmation of that fact. Floyd dumpster diving in Kostya Tszyu's bin again.
Carlos Manuel Baldomir. People in Argentina don't even know who he is.
W 43 (13 ko's) | L 10 | D 6 | Total 59
Old azz soft hitter does not even belong in this sport.
Shows you that when we have people like this holding a title, something is wrong with this division.
So what is your phuking point?
Your point is?
Floyd aint done shiet since he beat Castillo and Corrales and yet he claims he is better than Sugar Ray Robbinson and Sugar Ray Leonard?
HA HA HA HA HA HA!
WHAT A JOKE!
I wont deny he is pretty good but his claims are what ruined it.
He can say he is the greatest fighter to ever step into the ring but I know better.
You can defend Floyd by saying that it is not his fault that there were nothing but bums in those divisions etc ..etc. I agree and I say Floyd was lucky. Circumstances of events fighting old people have made him look better than he is.
I have said this once and I will say it again.
Floyd has yet to fight any Sugar Rays, Haglers, Hearns or Durans. But there are some ok fighters waiting for Floyda and one of them is Cotto. ;D Margarito still want's a piece of the Grand Rapids Chicken. How many undefeated fighters has Floyd beat?
Cotto 4 Life!
Let's compare these fights with Cotto then
Urkal: Kostya Tszyu leftover beaten twice by Vivian Harris and knocked out in one and Cotto couldn't put a dent in him.
Carlos Quintana: Only claim to fame was outboxing the overrated Joel Julio who got dropped and nearly beaten by this fighter called Rivera who Zab Judah(whom you say isn't much of a fighter in the above post) knocked down with the first left hand he threw. So I guess Quintana isn't as good as made out to be but he still gave Cotto issues until the knockout(which I applaud Cotto for)
Paul Malignaggi: Good fighter, big heart, but no power and still won some rounds from Cotto, oh yeah I remember the reasons, Cotto suffered a "boxers injury" and couldn't knock out Malignaggi right? But Cotto could still throw his punches, and yet Mayweather hurts his hand but still throws punches but you accuse him of lying about it cause he was holding a cup. So I guess holding a cup is more painful then throwing and landing a punch right?
Muhammad Abdolaev: Never the same not did he have the same confidence or desire since losing to Emanuel Clottey....by knockout.. so who is he really? His only claim is that he beat Cotto in the amateurs and that means what?
DeMarcus Corley: Zab Judah dropped him, Floyd Mayweather dominated him and then Cotto has trouble, is nearly stopped and then stops Corley on a BS biased ref call who didn't notice any low blow Cotto was throwing that night. You talk about leftovers, well Corley was Zab(who aint much of a fighter to you) and Floyd(who you say has no balls and degrade him every chance you get)'s leftovers and of the three, he had the most trouble with him didn't he? Your fighter Cotto :)
Ricardo Torres: Nobody had ever heard of him*very similar to a Phillip Ndou" who came in with with an inflated record knocking out bums brought in to lose with an inflated record. The difference is that Mayweather stopped Ndou, and Torres came nearly close to stopping Cotto, and when he stepped in against Mike Arnaoutis he got exposed and beaten(Mike was robbed) and showed he wasn't much of anything and yet Cotto had to go life or death against him.
Kelson Pinto: Overrated fighter who's only claim to fame was knocking out bums, dropping out of a Ricky Hatton fight and beating Cotto in the amateurs. If he gets outhustled my emanuel freaking augustus and is breathing hard about to pass out at the end then Cotto is going to smash him. And again, what was Kelson Pinto known for other then beating Cotto in the amateurs? And what had he done to even deserve a shot at that "vacant" world title opportunity???
Randall Bailey: ..... I don't think I need to say anything further
Can you give me a real few names that actually went on to become something after Cotto fought them ??? While Mayweather has Chavez, Castillo, Corrales, and Hernandez on his record. Who does Cotto have? he has Paul Malignaggi who MIGHT become something. But everyone else was either inflated or on their way out the door.
So you can take that with your Mayweather hate :) And you see no accusation more or less legit then yours. But you can defend it with jokes if you want, or by saying stuff like "Thats because Cotto ruined them as fighters they weren't the same like Tito Trinidad" or something like that, thats the only time I'm responding in this way to you, since I know you do it to bait Floyd fans or whichever fans. But I'm talking to you from a fan of someone who watches boxing and looks at the careers not a biased Floyd fan or whatever fan just calling you an idiot and saying you don't know boxing, I'm responding to you in a respectable and debating way, so take that with you :)
And good luck to your friend Miguel Cotto in his next fight :)
