I can usually remember TV shows and film titles but this US one eludes me
It was set in New York and opening credits had a high school kid (about 17 or 18) with glasses and curly hair riding on the subway and thinking to himself and smiling. Theme song was Randy Newman's 'Falling in Love' as this scene played
Seem to remember he was jewish and the title may have had his name in it- and it might have begun with A ?!??
then again it might not

I'm sorry, Mark, but I can't find a damn thing. At least TV Show related info. I looked at his bio on www.imdb.com and the only thing that showed was that the song "falling in love" was used in the movie Her Alibi.

was on Channel 4 at tea time in UK
rememmber Lucan though - go on youtube and you can see the opening titles to Lucan. Shows how shit it was, I thought it was brilliant in its day ! ;)
