Thought I'd do it since I've checked the stats and it's a shocking 1 month since we had our last Hamed thread. It must be a record

Even now Hameds dangerous. At the wheel.
;D
Naz vs. Jean Marc Mormeck would be an interesting fight. From the recent pics I've seen, Naz would definitely enter the ring as the bigger man.
Oh wait.... you mean Juan Manuel Marquez?
think naz beat himself before barrera got to him....
Barrera fought smart fight against Naz jabbing and moving and won easy decision i dont see why jmm couldnt do same and win decisionQuote:

Ok JMM beat Barrera over the weekend but this Barrera is getting old so is it a great result for him or a result against a name who has had some wars but is coming to the end. What im saying is JMM is a good boxer but he did'nt beat the great barrera he beat a barrera on the slide and if he fought a good Naz not the Naz who fought Barrera who had a shit training camp he would get ko'd early if Pac can drop him 3 time in one round Naz would ko him he hits harder than Pac in my opinion Naz beat himself he got to big headed he should have trained like a champion
people do realise I was taking the piss? :-X But fair play to those who went with it! :)
agreed mate. in his day naz was a dangerous mother licker and would definately been able to give JMM problems.Quote:

Ever wondered where naz would be now if he stopped with Brendan Ingle and trained properly? He got to big headed and 4t he didnt need to train very hard and got a beating for it and was never the same again. What awaste of talent!
I was a massive Naz fan and when he fellout with brendan i knew it was the begining of the end the night he fought Barrera i did'nt have sky so i listened to it live on the radio i was gutted i could'nt believe he did'nt have a plan b i kept thinking he would catch him but it never happend then i watched it the following tuesday when my sky was on and i was gutted because Naz could have beat him easy had he stayed with his silky skills and power rather than just relying on power i remember reading Herol Graham offered to train him take him back to the skills he started with and said he would beat Barrera in a return inside 4 rounds but Naz never took him up on it wish he had'nt drifted away leaving us not knowing but surely he has retired now if nothing else the feathers of today have Naz to thank for the big paydays he brought the attention and money to this division
he has always been to big headed thats his problem thats why i didn't like him in Barrera fight Naz had no answer to Barrera's left jab he didn't throw back or anything Barrera must of watched tapes and realized that was Naz's weaknessQuote:

not really words I would use in the same sentence.Quote:

It's quite simple really..... :)
Hamed was an exciting fighter in his day, but any of the top Mexican featherweights would have beaten him.
Morales or Marquez could have given him the same type of beatdown that Barrera gave him.
NeverQuote:

I respect your opinion very much as anyone here but Morales had the style that Hamed would have loved to fight.Quote:

OMG I posted in my own joke thread :-\
Barrera wern't really throwing much first 6 rounds i watched it years ago and i thought Naz got pretty much beat down but watching it again recently first 6 rounds i was quite surprised it was quite even i had Barrera up 4 points but he had point deducted in 12th so i had him winning by 3 roundsQuote:

Most LikelyQuote:

Just let go .............. What type of boxed retires after his 1st loss? The type that knows the recipe to beat him is visible to the top boxers thanks in part to MAB. Obviosly your hero had character issues and only would have suffered more losses with the stripping of confidence MAB issued to him that night. Naz simply realized that his best was not good enough. The only thing Naz ever possesed was a punchers chance. But skills ......please ...... the guys is falling all over the ring whether he is losing or winning the round. Naseem Hamed's opponents record http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/1209606.stm is not all that spectacular. What you are living in is the past and I bet the run was fun filled for you Naz fans til MAB ruined the party. So I guess letting go of the experience (the ride ) is harder for NAZ fans than Naz himself.Quote:

Did'nt Trinidad do the exact same thing lose a fight win a fight then retire but the then he comes back wins a fight loses a fight retires again so i suppose in that sence you could say Naz is the same sort of boxer as Tito ;)Quote:

So what I don't understand is how do you guys determine he could beat sooo many people if when he was at his best he turned down fights! and when (according to some of you) he was no longer at his best he lost... ???
But yet! he seems to beat everyone in matchups... ::**
