USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Donovan scores 1st minute of the game and Cicaido(sp?) scores for Ecuador in the 11th minute.
Benny Feilhaber 22 years old, gets his first cap for the national team he's already playing for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga
US has a new kit too....I don't like it too much royal blue with white stripes.

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
The US is running a 4-4-2 (finally!!!!) with Ching and Johnson up front, Donovan, Dempsey, Beasly, and Feilhaber in the middle and Cherundolo, Onyewu, Konrad, and Bocanegra defending...of course Tim Howard is in goal.
The defending on both sides has been sketchy but the field they are playing on is a little sketchy too so it's proving very interesting.

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
....what the fuck is England doing??? drawing with Israel....yall must be PISSED
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Michael Bradley subs on for Eddie Johnson and Donovan moves up to forward/striker
Bradley is 19 and plays professionally for SC Heerenveen of the Dutch Eredivisie.
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
What should be a PK....Donovan got knocked down but the US still gets a freekick right outside the box
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Aragon made a good save....Donovan did very well on that run though
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Donovan with another good give and go and was a little too weak to put the chance away
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
GOAL #2 for Landon Donovan!!!!
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
FUCKING ROCKET of a shot!!!!!!
Donovan HAT TRICK!!!!!
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Brian Mullan in for Clint Dempsey
Jonathan Spector in for Steve Cherundolo
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Bradley and Feilhaber did very well for their first games....HOWEVER I still wonder how Adu would fit in with these guys....I think he's special and would contribute much like Donovan he's at least good enough to have on as a sub
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Over all a very good game for the US....Beasley's legs are back, Donovan showed everyone a glimpse of what he's capable of, the youth got some experiance, and it showed we need some work on defense.
Depth is good for the team and that's great.
Also MLS announced they are going to try to make all of the fields similar so as to avoid the fuck ups that the NASL had.
Donovan subbed off Brian Carrol in...standing ovation for Landon

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
off topic... Iran better let those 15 British soldiers go , those cunts keep fanning the flame. I think its time to tap dance on their asses , all this fucking negotiation and shit makes me sick. aint nothing to negotiate.. only 2 options for Iran , let them go or run for cover. O0
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Goddamn right! Iran had best check itself.....'fore it wrecks itself!
The US might have been streched too thin by fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.....but let's not forget we have cruise missles that can fly up Ahmadinijad's nose before they blow up!
You don't want to fuck with the US or the UK....we'll fuck your asses up!
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
That fucking cunt Ahmadinijad wanted to speak at the UN in America.. LOL.. they should slap the cuffs on the terrorist cunt when he gets off the fucking plane. LOL , why let these snuff queens fuck about ? just snap the neck before there is a serious problem. All this talk about bringing the troops back to the states, fuck that, Iran needs to be delt with first, Were just going to have to send everyone back anyway at another HUGE tax payer expense. .. Hell anyone with any kind of vision can see that. I say just clean fucking house while we are there. You know what I mean? :coolclick: Lyle !

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Shit yeah! Stop it before it's a REAL problem....(which would have been before those sailors got captured)
We should have nuked Iran back in the 80's when they took those US hostages which in turn led to one of my favorite slogans of all time
AYATOLLAH ASSHOLA!!!!
We're gonna rock your fuckin casbah bitches!!!!!

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly

Dempsey disappointed me....he usually is very good 1 on 1 and his crosses are really good too but in this game he didn't make any chances for himself.
Eddie Johnson also looked a little flat today.
Good solid win but I dislike when the US puts all of their eggs in the Landon Donovan basket. Landon is a very solid attack midfielder....he's great creating his own space and dribbling but his passes are sometimes VERY bad and in just being a striker he SUCKS.
The US ran the 4-4-2 and had Donovan at CAM which I think is his true position and had Feilhaber at CDM.
Feilhaber's dad played in/for Brazil!!! tell me that ain't good for the US!

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
i always wondered how you got your post count up lyle ;D
good result for u.s, can you find the highlights ???
england drawing with isreal was shit, we had 72% possesion but like 3 shots on target
worst thing about it is, the media hype it up to be such a big match and a game we could lose but its fuckin isreal, not brazil or italy, isreal
we should be wiping teams like that away with 4-0 wins, not drawing 0-0
lets see if we can beat andorra next by more than a goal :-\

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Ah, you mock my posts??? I assure you that all of these posts have useful information in them...this is also the first time I ever talked of a US soccer match
Here are the goals.....that last one was a rocket!

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
good goals from donovan
3rd one had a hint of lampard in it
shockin defending for ecuadors goal but you done more than enough to win
-
Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
Donovan can be awesome but in different formations he is less effective.....as the World Cup showed.
Landon is good when handling the ball, he's fast, he can put it away with either foot, and he can pass well.....but he's got to be able to create space for himself.
A midfield with Beasley, Donovan, Adu, and Dempsey would really give a scare to some other squads....I am just waiting for the US to get a striker with the size of Onyewu and the tenacity of Ching.
Ching damn near broke his nose going for a header vs Ecuador

did you not see terry against arsenal recently ???
took a full boot to the head
proper KO

Re: USA-Ecuador International Friendly
...nah didn't catch that dude.
McBride would also get bloodied up often.
It's just usually the American Soccer players are like European Basketball players.....they are soft, at least in my opinion. Guys like Onyewu are a change for us....he's a fucking beast.
