so its old news that they will fight on the Taylor undercard in may?

Pavlik has a mean right hand a sneaky left hook. Pretty good fighter and a very astute puncher. He knows how to punch and he doesn't waste to much in doing so. Very straight puncher and very accurate, always a deadly combination.
Miranda on the other hand is just an animal. Not all right around the edges, he's not exactly patient but the guy is one of the more intimidating fighters in the game. Pavlik is going to have to be all there mentally and not be scared of Miranda if he wants to win the fight. He can't be moving backwards if he wants to beat Miranda. Easier said then done but you're not going to expose any holes in Miranda's defense backpeddling and that has been something that I've seen Pavlik do a couple times.
He has the tools to beat Miranda, and it could very well happen. But to do it he needs to stand his ground, sneak that left hook in on Miranda, follow up and then circle around. Or do something to that extent. A lot of people say that you beat Miranda by keeping him outside, well I don't totally agree. He has a very tight defense on the outside, it's basically a shell it's when he is moving in and looking to make something happen where his defense opens up and that's where Pavlik is going to have to do his work. And his arsenal of punches seem to be made for a guy like Miranda but there is always that X factor of a huge Colombian power house coming at you and whether or not you can keep your poise. If he can, it very well could be a frustrating night for Miranda.
But on the flipside, if Pavlik loses, he loses big in this one. Miranda's blows are like missals in the air, they may be a bit loopy and they may take a while to get there but they bang hard.
I'm going to go ahead and predict a Miranda KO but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go the other way. A win for either fighter is huge imo.

Always let the shorter guy work harder have the longer guy on the outside popping with the jab and rights keep it simple .
Keeping him on the outside creates more room for Pavlik to work and time his punches , with Pavlik further away EM has to be much thoughtfull about where where he punches , KP doesnt have to backpedal but use the whole ring .
If KP establishes the jab then he can land anything , EM can be hurt and frstrated if you fight his fight you stand on top of him and let the punches go thats what he loves , be smart be boringhe likes to fight at 100MPH likes a war dont indulge him make him think about what he is doing .
When you frustrate the shorter man you make him make mistakes you get him off balance with the jab and have him loading up
KP trying to make him go backwards does him no favours just give EM a bigger targer to hit .
Pavlik should be studying Videos of Tommy Hearns - Sugar Ray MAB- Naz or Lennox - Tua.
As long as you have good footwork and a strong Jab you can beat EM , what ive seen he's a pretty tidy puncher and will have to be on his game cos you know what Mirinda brings .
I'm not saying that he has to do his work on the inside. But Miranda has a pretty tight shelled defense when he is on the outside. You can land on his guard and if you can manage to keep him at bay then you've done your job.
But if you really want to hurt Miranda then I believe you have to hit him as he's coming in. Miranda really opens up wide moving in and Pavlik has quick enough and accurate enough punches to make Miranda pay for it. If he does get on the inside then Pavlik has to find a way out of ther.
I agree that he can't back EM up but he can't be going backwards himself either. Miranda throws real long punches coming inside and if Miranda backs straight up then he's going to walk right into one.
