Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
I'm curious to see if David can punch Bonin out inside the distance and score the KO win (Audley did it in 9 rounds)...
If he fails to put a dent in the Russian then is a career at Heavy a reality? I'm not so sure it is you know especially when you consider the size of some of the current albeit poor heavies (They really do bang at a different level).
One thing i will say is that Haye walks round between fights at just over 16 stone so im hoping the power will follow him up there.

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Is it just me or does he look a bit fat in this pic ?
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
He's enjoying some proper food for a change and piling it on (This pic is probably a month or so old so i wouldn't worry)
He'll sweat that off in the Tenerife mountains easily.
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
he also looks like Calvin Brock ;D
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
i remember not long ago someone posted 2 different pics of haye with the difference in his physique from cruiser to heavy and the difference was very noticable but he also looked like a proper heavy weight.
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
it kills him getting down to cruiseweight ;)
He's also dating Kylie Minogue :-*
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Probably not the wisest of moves to pack on a lot of muscle then?
He looked very muscular in the 'after' shot
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
What i admire is his fearlessness to take on risky fights 8)
And yeah i know what your saying because it could go horribly 'Tits up' at Wembley arena. ;D
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
It did last time he was there ;D
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Going "tits up" is the only way he makes the move back down
Bonin is ranked 11 by the WBC, if Haye looks spectacular against him, (which is a strong possibility) we're gonna hear all the speil about how much better/stronger he feels at the weight blah blah blah...Mormeck is a once a year fighter and still has buisness with Bell to do...whats Haye gonna do in the mean time? Another warm-up fight at heavy?

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
He could always fight Enzo? :-X
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
hahahaha @ Memph :) ;D Forgot that was at Wembley.
Fensters got a fooking good point here, never saw it from that angle mate ;)

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Thats why FW wanted all the funking options on him...Could there ever be a better time for a YOUNG heavyweight star to come through...Imagine Haye prime time ITV wiping-out all the old gaurd one by one - Audley, Danny, Skelton etc...
The hardcore fans like him, excellent in front of camera, pie and mash without coming across as a cunt, birds love him, he already has the celebrity connections...
Of course, Bonin will spank him now ;D

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
He should be so lucky ;D
Australian Pop Star Kylie Minogue Back in the Dating Saddle Again
March 28, 2007 03:24:01 GMT
by Peter Rooley
Olivier Martinez who? Kylie Minogue apparently already forgets her former longtime boyfriend as she reportedly is dating British boxing champion David Haye, who helped her train for her tour following her very public battle with breast cancer.
Minogue and Haye have known each other for some years after meeting in a gym. They have been spending more and more time with each other since then.
"Kylie was heartbroken over Olivier and has needed her friends more than ever. David has been there for her 100 per cent and he now views her as one of his closest female friends," a source tells British newspaper The People, adding "He has taken her out and cheered her up when she has been feeling down."
Meanwhile, Haye himself reportedly told the paper, "Yes, we are close friends." So, are they or aren't they? We'll be sure to let you know.

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
If Haye can look impressive could be in for title shot soon and i would give him good chance against Briggs who only throws 5 punches a round and the journeyman Oleg 8)

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
For such a big bloke, Haye has a thin neck, not really built to take a heavys punches and neither is his defence,

Na. it was the first question i asked adam with i spoke with him - he made it crystal clear, no matter what haye is going down to beat the winner of bell and JMM and since JMM won he will be fighting him next.
+ becoming the WBC or WBa champ at a lower weight will increase his rankings at heavy when he moves up?

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
I think if Haye moves up he should stay up coz it will be damaging his body to try to make the CW limt again.
I think he has got a bit side tracked by going after a cruserweight title at a time when the heavyweight division is crying out for a superstar.

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
With all the good things he does we should be in for some exciting times What worries me is he cant fight.
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
I dont normally dream about semi clothed men but I had a dream about this fight and Haye got flattened in a round. He clouted Bonin with a big right and down he goes. He gets to his feet and almost imediately returns the favour and Haye hits the deck hard and rolls onto the apron. People start to help him upright as the referee is giving him a count, Haye is out of it ;D The referee reaches 8 and asks "are you OK?" At which point some bloke who is helping to prop him up gets a hand full of cornrows and yanks Haye's head back and forth to say yes ;D
The referee says box on and they let him go............face first into the canvass.

Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Memphis He should beat Bonin if not Frank will get the sack as Promoter, but I bet he wont be bothered.
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
this cud be interesting either easy blow out for Haye or he runs outta gas and get stopped in 10
come on the HAYEMAKER !!!!!!!!!
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
Bonin aint Russian , Polish ;)
-
Re: Heavyweight Hayemaker? Hmmmm
i agree that IF haye doesnt KO bonin then perhaps he has no future at HW,however i think he will maintain his power.based largely on his performance at world amatuer champs,oh boy what trouble he had solis in.he was only 20 at the time
