Ali wins wide ud if Jersey Joe Walcott could outbox Rocky for almost 13 rounds Ali would aswellQuote:

Marciano no contest; he had too much power for Alis weak body. Once the foot work is gone Ali is gone.
Marciano TKO 10th round.
Ali had weak body ?? he took Frazier's bombs to stomach and Foreman's bombs to stomach don't know where you got that from Marciano is too slow to catch very agile Ali.Quote:

Ali by UD (by a landslide)
Ali wins..fight stopped in the 11th from cuts
This is a tough pick. You have the best technical heavyweight versus the all time worst technical heavyweight. Ali had a tough body and if we're talking prime vs. prime here, ali would easily move around the ring against marciano. One of the greatest factors into ali's defense was not his upper body movement but the fact that people were afraid to commit to punches because when they threw a punch they had to worry about his jab. Marciano didn't give a damn how fast or how many times you hit him he made it apparent before every fight that he was expecting to get hit a fair amount of times but he was 100% convicted to every punch he threw. Marciano could catch ali several times and win on points generated by knockdowns, ali could win on cuts, ali could win a one sided decision, marciano could throw a twin punch to the greatest punch ever thrown and end the thing in one punch at any time.
All that said, prime for prime, Marciano wins a very very close decision. Neither man was ever stopped (ali wasn't stopped until after he had parkinsons) and both had a lot of heart but if you're a boxer, you're nightmare scenario of an opponent is a guy that hits with tremendous force, has an inability to be hurt, and has the stamina to throw bomb after bomb round after round.
Walcott was outboxing Marciano for 13 rounds i don't see why Ali couldn't do same Ali in 60s is too agile for the small and slow Marciano.Quote:

If i had to fight one of them i'd flip a coin because its a losing situation either way. Heads you get so hard with one punch that you have post traumatic stress disorder when you wake up and you don't wanna be near anything leather or red for the rest or your life. Tails you get hit with so many punches that are spot on accurate that when something flashes past your face afterwards you assume the fetal position.
Ali has fought tough brwalers like Marciano and has come out on top im not biggest fan of Ali but Ali would beat Marciano by ud imo.Quote:

It was because of of being impartial that Ali was floored when taking a counter left hook from Frazier. Frazier's trainer saw that Ali didn't know how to throw a proper uppercut and therefore would stand up and drop his right hand. Chuvalo didn't have the strength of Marciano but it was his pressure that gave Ali trouble.Quote:

Ali was very athletic and had some good personal qualities but never had the technical skills to sucker Rocky. Besides Rocky's trainer was very perceptive and could adapt his fighter to other's strengths better than any other trainer that I can think of.
I think even in the unlikely event of a cut, I can see Rocky winning by a midfight KO. Ali wouldn't be able to tie him up or stay off the ropes forever.
1965-67 Ali would win an easy UD, outboxing the Rock. To tall, to fast, to good.
weak body ?!?!?!?!?Quote:

This is probably the toughest fight to pick a winner for in the heavyweight division. I could see this fight endng several different ways and could present a case for all of them.Quote:

ali would win--people keep putting these 2 against each other when better match ups would be --marciano-demsey , marciano-(prime)louis and
ali-louis, (prime)ali-holmes
I would think Ali would win on cuts in round 7 or 8. By the way, I remember hearing once that Ali and Marciano did a computer fight. I am not sure how that far back. By the way, the way computers and programs are progressing I would think someday they will be able to feed in a persons style and clips of that person and come to a conclusion how the fights would result. Could not be as accurate as the truth.

Ok let me make a list on whats wrong with that clip.Quote:

3. Ali keeps throwing sloppy left hooks, completely abandons the jab, and doesn't tie up marciano on the inside? hmm let me look for another fight where he did that. Nope this is the only one.
Ali by easy decision.
Ali would bust him up.
Agreed.Quote:

Much better fights could be made:
Ali V Walcott, for the artistic.
Marciano V Frazier: for the War Veterans.
Draw.
Ali was a complete fighter while Marciano certainly wasn't.
Ali dances to a convincing win.
In what way was Marciano not a complete fighter? And further more how was Ali more of a complete fighter, attributes aside of course.Quote:

I'd rather flip a coin on this one. I think Rocky is a smarter fighter than people give him credit. He knew how to feint and set up his punches. He wasn't just a slugger.
Ali
Rocky
Ali would dance around Marciano all night landing jabs and right crosses at will. Rocky was too short, Ali too tall and fast.
Rocky never faced a guy with the footwork and handspeed of Ali, while an after-prime Ali beat bigger and stronger fighters in Foreman and Frazier. Not taking anything away from the only undefeated champ, he had heart but he also never fought Ali.
If we're talking an 'in their prime' fight then call me crazy but I'd pick Ali.
Never forget when you are punching youre in distance to get it back.
Well in this scenario, Ali's reach was so superior that Marciano would be a great distance away while being jabbedQuote:
