Roy Jones Jr the guy was so talented that he never even tried what a talent he was from Roy Jones himself = they say i fight nobody its not that i make them look like nobody ;)

Roy Jones IMO. Roy Jones would have beaten anyone at SMW. He could have ruled that division forever if he didn't decide to move up.
Toney did more in the division, but RJJ beat Toney in the division. There's a lot to be said for the man that beat the man. Just cc'd all you mugs for realizing it ain't Calzaghe. Joe C couldn't begin to deal with some of the guys on that list.

Since I rate RJJ at Light Heavy. as IMO he accomplished more there.
I voted Collins.
Now if your talking about who was the best as far as skills then the slight advantage goes to RJJ followed by Toney.
People can be the best of more than one divison I believe Roy was the best SMW, and LHW ever.Quote:

Well who knows really cause the question is "Would RJJ, Eubank, Benn & Collins all have met"?Quote:

this is easy, best supermiddle weight is only ROY JONES JR.
joe. C and his b1tch a$$ 20th defense that is a damn shame, he fought a reality show guy for god sake. who does that? what an embarrASSment,a damn shame in boxing history guys like this makes 20th defense.
i'm getting sick of this undefeated protected punk fighters.
ROY JONES JR whoops him big time.
I'll go for Nigel Benn. He fought at the weight for a long time, racked up 9 defences, had some exciting fights, and turned back the challenge of a really dangerous fighter who was heavily tipped to beat him (Mclellan). Roy Jones was very talented but really didn't do that much at super middleweight.

That is not a valid reason for any fighter that believes in himself not to go abroad and fight 12 hard rounds!Quote:

part of me thinks a prime RJJ. but then i like to think that nigel benn would have knocked him out if the two had ever faught. a prime roy jones jr was so hard to hit. but with jones's chin if nige caught hit he would have sparked him. prime nigel benn has a really good chance against a prime roy jones jr, who i consider the best super middle of all time.
RJJ without a doubt...he hardly ever lost a round,he toyed with most of his opponents, and he even played in a basketball game before one of his fights! How many fighters can you name that went an entire round without being hit?A prime RJJ...unbeatable at supermiddle.
Good list .
I think Michael Nunn should have been on there aswel . James Toney was amazing , cant argue with Calzaghes resume, I was a fan of Eubank but the winner had to be the best p4p fighter of the modern era
I voted for Roy cuz he was simply outstanding at his best . Different league .
I remember when he said that....and it was true....RJJ was head and shoulders above everbody on that list....he would have been undefeated had he stayed at 168 for his career....damn it....Quote:
