Eubank hated pressure fighters like Watson did to him in rematch i think Calzaghe has workrate to beat him and Calzaghe's chin is pretty good as well so he would take his shots i think he would out work him.Quote:

Agreed. I don't think that Eubank could deal with the handspeed and pressure. Late TKO for the Italian living in Wales.Quote:

THAT Eubank was very interesting, he never boxed (or looked) like that before or after. He was kind of really loose and lastic, it was weird, he looked really thin compared to usual and his punches weren't honed too well that night, but his movement was very effective and he made Nige look pedestrian at times with his speed and fire and determination, letting those hands go, gritting his teeth.
That would be an interesting fight, but Eubank would be 160 (that weigh-in was at 1pm Sunday afternoon and fight at 9pm same day) and Calzaghe more like 175+ ;)
Joe has said many times that was his hardest fight and go back and watch it...he was hanging on for dear life in the final round ;D
Calzaghe has been in wars Charles Brewer Robin Reid Chris Eubank ;)Quote:

Nothing to compare with some of the wars Chris was in though ;)
Yeah I was just typing that.Quote:

No, they don't compare. Have the Benn vs. Eubank fight on tape. Joe has never been in the trenches in such a war.Quote:

Yeah it was one of the greatest wars I've seen in the world of boxing.
I enjoyed Watson vs Eubank 2 better personally because Watson was like windmill non stop punching it was terrific fight shame about tragedy though.Quote:

Benn v Eubank I and II Eubank v Watson II, Benn v G-Man, even to this day wrench my gut when I watch them, I don't think anything on these waters have come close to those battles, Shea Neary v Andy Holligan and Moore v Macklin are of the same ilk though.
To stay on topic. NO Calzaghe wouldn't have.
You have to remember it wasn't exactly a prime JC either, it was a huge step up in opposition and he had prepared to fight Collins not Eubank.Quote:

I think the Eubank that beat Benn would have taken Calzaghes heart even the Lacy Calzaghe Eubank wanted that so bad he went through hell but he would'nt be denied swallowing his own blood for round after round he did'nt even tell his corner he had the split in his tongue because he knew they would stop it a man like that in that frame of mind is a very dangerous man he were'nt going to lose Benn was better than Lacy could ever be
Calzaghe's workrate would give him the decision
HELL NOE
chris eubank was focused in the 90's
iknow calaghe would have thrown a lazy jab eubank would throw that crazy overhand right lol
would make see birdies like off of street fighters
what s.middleweight had more power than him
definitely would.

Calzaghe has been hit by bigger punches than Eubank he never really had one punch ko power just look at his ko ratio W 45 (23 ko's) and Chris never liked someone forcing him to fight at pace he didn't like he always liked to set his own pace if you have got good work rate like Calzaghe has to get him off his own pace you can beat him.Quote:

Who can put Eubank away though ?? the man has granite chin very hard man is Eubank and i watched Eubank vs Calzaghe fight because i heard people saying he shook Calzaghe but i never see it unless i missed something he never rocked or wobbled Calzaghe at all and Eubank did struggle against much lesser men like Ray Close had razor thin decision against him and draw and i'll say it again Eubank liked fighting at his own pace you had to get him off his pace like Watson was doing perfectly until he got caught by lucky punch from Eubank Calzaghe has skill and work rate to beat Eubank imo.Quote:

I already said who would win mate have look at page 1.Quote:

Because he struggled against lesser men Eubank was type of guy that does just enough to win in Benn fight Benn took too many punches his defense was open Calzaghe has better speed and better chin than Benn and better work rate all stuff you need to beat Eubank ;)Quote:
