i hope brewster wins.
i still remember the press conference right before their first fight and brewster started crying and he smacked the mic onto the ground and in tears. :'(
Yeah fight Brewster after a year off coming back from a detached retina ::**

Well Brewster definetly has the psycological advantageover Wlad in this one... Not to mention Brewster is pretty damn durable.. This IMO will show if there is indeed a new Wlad Klitschko
Not so sure that's true really.. Given the nature of their last fight and how Wlad has looked since, plus Brewster being off so long with a detached retina coming off a loss.. I think Wlad has more reason to be confident.. Brewster could have that edge on fight night as the rounds go by though, that's definetly possible.Quote:

BF/IBO world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will defend against former world champion and conqueror Lamon Brewster in "The Rematch" on July 7 at the 20,000-seat Cologne Arena in Cologne, Germany, it was announced by K2 Promotions.

Don King is wanting to set up a unification tournament to make 1 heavy champ
CC! oh shiiiiiiiiiiit. mad respect to WLAD for trying to avenge this lossQuote:

well wlads gonna have to pace himself this time and just work behind the jab all night unlike last time throwing everything but the kitchen sink and gassing himself out like that.
I agree. I wonder how much Don King has in this at the moment. Why keep Brewster inactive for a whole year when he's been cleared to fight for the last 6 months ??? And in his first fight back throw him in with Wladimer.Quote:

I hate Don King, with a passion!!
Topic Merged. :)
Credit to Klitschko,he tried to make a unification bout,it fell through so he took the next best fight available
A fighting champion,I mean Im sure one of the Contenders had a heavyweight in it that he could have fought in Russia ;D

NEW YORK (TICKER) -- The long-awaited rematch between heavyweights Wladimir Klitschko and Lamon Brewster will be held July 7 at Cologne, Germany.
The announcement was made Monday by K2 Promotions, Klitschko's promoters.
As long as DKP has the majority share in promoting the new championQuote:

Klitschko wasn't goint to let himself get screwed by DKP and King wasn't going to risk any of his champions against a fighter who had only lost 2 matches in his career, but had 1 KO short of all of his victories. His plan was to just keep sending contenders until one of them was granted the miracle of beating Klitschko. Unfortunately, fortune did not smile on Johnson or Williams while injury kept Rahman from getting humiliated (although Maskaev picked up that slack). Had Klitschko fought ANY of King's champions, then we would have a unified champion in Klitschko and eventually, an undisputed one. W. Klitschko has the opportunity to take the division if he beats Brewster this time, but now that V. Klitschko is back, it's less likely that an undisputed champion will emerge (unless V. Klitschko wins all three of the belts his brother does not have, which means getting stripped of the WBA to become the super-champion anyway).Quote:

Lamon Brewster is still a tough fighter but he hasn't been active in a long time either.....he's a good warm up for another fighter, perhaps Chagaev who may remind some people of Corrie Sanders being that he's a southpaw who is pretty good and awkward too
Brewster must need some money real bad for not taking a tuneup. Wlad is going to maul him in less than eight rounds. This fight should be called "Punishment" since Klits can hit Brewster at will ( as established in their first meeting)
Wlad will make another Tap Dancer pay ;D
I think Brewster could do him again Wlad as been ko'd by this guy once he could be to nervous and use to much energy
Brewsters heart won him the first fight. I don't think that he will pull it off again.
That & the fact that Wlad gassed himself out won him the fight.Quote:
