Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Definitely 8)
For a split second I thought Oscar could win this :o

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Floyds 'no look' speed ball was smooth as fuck...and he knew it 8)

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
This really is hotting up, cant wait for it now. Really hope Oscar can pull this off!

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Oscar on the hook n jab pads looked superb 8)
I'm sticking to my "Oscar by mid to late ko-left hook style' theory...
Just think he'll be able to walk through Floyds offerings and hopefully hurt him early on to set the tone.

That really was smooth as fuck.
Nice appetiser although ridiculously OTT.
Nice guy Oscar, nice family, came from humble beginnings, tragically lost Mother VS the nasty criminal Mayweathers. ;D

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
I still can't get my head round the fact that Floyd dished out over 6000 punches in one sitting :o

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
I've been frantically searching Sky+ .............. is the actual fight showing live anywhere on TV??

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
I saw that buil;d up last night, and as I mentioned in the main RBR thread it just reinforced my belief that Mayweather is an arrogant, mean person and I hope that ODLH really brings him down a notch or two. The history would suggest otherwise, but I reckon that Mayweather will have more on his hands than he is expecting, and the most important thing is that we have a cracking fight on the night and that even living up to half the expectations would make it a great bout.

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Thanks fenster - I couldn't find it on my Sky thingy - is it late on saturday?

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Bloody hell! You taking the piss, X? You're to smart for this, surely ;D
It's live from Las Vegas which means we'll get the fight around 4am. Program starts on SS1 2am.
And I hope you don't think it's this Saturday ;)

;D
Floyd UD. The programme will be edited to make the fight appear 50/50 but there';s no way ODH wins this. There's no getting away from the fact that Floyd has made a career out of embarassing harder hitting, much bigger guys. Yeah Oscars fast...just not as fast as Floyd...
That said with this much money involved, I'll be putting a bet on a draw and a Floyd sd... ;)

Much as I want ODLH to win, I'd probably bet my right testicle on a Floyd win, it's nailed on. (The victory...of course). Mayweather seems to have all the class in the ring, while De La Hoya has all of the class outside of it. Mayweather's still a knob though.

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Oscar sparks him inside 8 rounds O0

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
I think Oscar will win too. PTS though, most likely a SD.
I just can't envisage Mayweather getting knocked out. His defence is to good for that.

Than Oscar?

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
The weight differential shouldn't even be a factor. Only a fool would stand toe-to-toe and Floyds not come this far to roll the dice now...
:scratchchin:
Y'know, It's saying something about Floyds skill that I'm giving ODH a punchers chance :o

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Thing is,PBF is gonna be expected to back up his mouth so in that respect he'll trade (or try to,early on) purely on ego alone ;)
I have no doubt that Oscar will dismantle him at some point :)

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
He's always been this gobby but come fight night he never deviates from the plan. He's a pro.
-
Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
I think the weight is a factor. Oscar is the best fighter, hardest puncher and smartest guy Floyd has ever faced.
I also don't think the fight would even be happening if Oscar wasn't seriously confident he would win...either way I don't see Oscar sparking him and don't see the complete shutout for Floyd. Close fight.

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Im looking forward to this more and more as it gets closer, interesting to see how opinions are fairly evenly split for this one. Im still thinking (and hoping) that Oscar can get the better of Mayweather. Although I'd love knock out Im thinking probably points.

Floyds conceeded just about every advantage to do this fight on DLHs terms. Now that's confidence.
Oscar is all the attributes you mention but that split second he may have lost due to inactivity and age will be enough to seperate the two, I feel.
Great that a fight is so close to call for once aint it? 8)

Re: Catch the OSCAR v Floyd build up only on Sky (starts tonight)
Can't think of a fight in recent years that really excited me as much O0
Gonna be wicked

True. Although I thought $12m had more to do with it ;)
I agree with you about Oscar's inactivity and age but don't think the Oscar supporters should use it as an excuse (obviously they will should he lose) considering he looked superb last time out...all be it against the antithesis of Mayweather...

Thats not that hard to do.
After watching the program I tried it and it was easy enough.
