If Calzaghe really wanted this fight he would take this offer.... Maybe Calzaghe thinks he doesn't need Kessler to be great, but he needs a great name in one (hopefully both) of his last fights. Cal is not getting any younger and people will only respect Cal if he chooses a champion (which counts out Froch or RJJ). Tayler, Tarver, Kessler are all possibilities and right now the Kessler fight looks like the most possible outcome.

IMO Kessler doesn't need Cal as much as Cal needs Kess, because of the age difference. Cals career is ending and Keeslers just begun.

Calzaghe/ Kessler has to be next, if Calzaghe goes in search of Taylor or anyone else before taking care of business in his own division 1st he'll only be hurting his own legacy.

there is no test 4 calzaghe at super middle, but he will stay at super middle untill he has beaten joe louis' record of title defences, he will do it by taking all the easy fights, avoiding the likes of kessler and carl froch until the record is his. The bottom line is that the WBO is a paper title......the WBA and the WBC are the true titles.....2 vs 1.....Kessler deserves his shot a unifying the titles...and with 20 so called defences it is obvious that this has never been a concern for Joe C...which is why he will never be seen as great....B-HOP held his division on lockdown by holding all 4 titles....B-HOP is a great fighter..It is understood that B-HOP was underpaid for many years/fights....you should get paid by fighting the best...it's time for Joe C to earn his money...

Bullshit offers?? $5 million is a bullshit offer????????? Come mate Calzaghe has been paid nothing near that his whole life he got about $2 million for Lacy, he should take the money and go fight Kessler, Calzaghe says he only travels when the money is good, i remember when he fought Veit ( the guy he had already ko'd in one round) in Germany and was asked why go to Germany he said the money was good thats why you know how much he was paid for that fight around $1million, theres $4 million more reasons to go to Denmark.

There's nothing little about the $5m offer, but not sure the Veit fight is of much relevance here.

Calzaghe got £736,000 for it. But he had to fight in Germany as FW lost the purse bid. And there's the important part, it wasn't a Warren promotion ;)

Remember, it wasn't even on the box over here.

One thing is definate, these guys should fight on neutral ground.
