With ITV showing this much interest in the Cobra i think this is gonna happen...
There is No One else to fight Joe and those who are available won't travel.
Huge UK fight!!!

Mark my words..This will be Calzaghes toughest fight and Froch can knock you out and has a granite chin.
What makes it more interesting is that there is absolutely no way Joe can Knock him out ;)
Smash would you be favouring Froch to win by ko
Smash is bit biased when it comes to good old good Froch ;) it won't be Calzaghe's toughest fight but it will be competitive.Quote:

Highly doubt Calzaghe will even fight in July ;)
Why though?
It's all in place ,venue,Khans next opponent ;D
I don't see why not really mate barring his hands ;)
Would be a great domestic fight too and would eclipse the Manfredo fight for crowd size.

Wouldn't matter to me if Froch did lose because he'd go out on his shield and is still at an age where he could bounce back plus he'd do himself lot's of favours Stateside with his style ;)
CC#563 Smash
He hasn't fought just a few months apart in donkeys years. He already has the hand injury. They're flapping around for a suitable opponent - it wont be Froch, sadly, cause rival Brit promoters are to busy having their own pissing contest to put on fights WE WANT - And in these press snippets September keeps popping up...remember last year Calzaghe pulled out of the big July date FW had planned.Quote:

That to me suggests he see's Carl as a real Live threat to Joe ;)
This is Haye v Enzo all over again >:mad
i hope it does happen, it could really be a good fight i hope froch can train hard and win this ;D
If it does happen, i think it will be a huge miss-match, carl froch is made for joe calzaghe. It will be like lacy all over again all mouth and no action, the problem is that there is no one in the world good enough to match joe calzaghe :)
I just read an artical about this proposed fight, it is pro Froch, it says how laughable it is when people state that Froch is not yet ready yet Joe himself was 24 when he fought Eubank as was Reid when he wan the WBC.
What is laughable is that at nearly 30 Froch has come nowhere near getting a title shot.
Joe will have too high a tempo, Froch cant work at a pace and is often left half way across the ring while hisw opponent actualy moves, he spends to much time trying to look relaxed with his left hanging low.
Froch hasnt had a test of his abilitys yet and other than his last fight he has done nothing that others hadnt done previously with common opponents, he hasnt faced a high ranked unbeaten prospect as himself.
Froch will either ko Calzaghe or win UD Calzaghe is done
I watched on old re-run of a question of sport las nite and calzaghe was on, sue barker asked him a question and i knew right away that the ans was carl froch, and calzaghe hesited as tho 2 say he was trying to remember what his name was! hahaha
