Warren offers Kessler £2.5 to fight Joe in September!!!!!!!!!!!

Warren in his Newspaper coloum today says he has matched the offer from Kesslers team for Kessler to come to Wales in September for $5 million, so lets see what they have to say about that!!

I like Kess and hes my boy and I think he beats Joe ANY day of the week.

With that being said BOTH teams/promoters are a bunch of BITCH*S!!
IMO they need to stop all this sh*t!

and another thing REAL Champs. go ANYWHERE and fight ANYONE, IMO who ever decides to go to the others home SHOULD get that respect for doing so....

Anyway! Someone wake me up when these 2 teams decide to MAN UP! and do sh*t! the right way... :(

Probably a shallow offer like the first one. Warren almost didn't make the Lacy fight happen by making shallow offer after shallow offer and then when Joe pulled out, he insisted on it staying in the UK the second go round. It's UK or bust for Frank.

Yeah thats true, frank warren likes his boxers to have home advantage, and its not always fair. Why should one boxer do all the running, flying over to a diffrent country, having to shake off jet-lag and then going into the ring being intimidated by the crowds booing? I remember a few years back wayne alexander was euro champ and had to make a volentry against a lad frm germany cnt remember who, and the other lads camp won the bids the fight was set to take place in germany, alexander ended up pullin out, not because of injery but because warren insisted that alexander had to pay a certain percentage of his purse to him, because he was fighting on somebody elses bill, and then alexander would have his trainers fees to pay, and living expenses while in germany. So he pulled out because he would of ended up losing money 4 fighting and thats just wrong. :'(

Both teams should just stop being such babies and decide once and for all to have the fight here in the states!!

In Vegas or even at The Garden in NYC!!

Jetlag Denmark to Wales is a couple of hours flight?? also surely the travelling is at least a couple of weeks in advance.

It makes good sense for any fight involving Calzaghe against a non-american to take place in the Millenium Stadium for the revenue, Calzaghe v Kessler would no doubt sell extremely well considering 35,000 sales for Calzaghe v Manfredo.

sounds like Warren is praying that Kessler won't take the fight.....

last i heard JC was keen to get back int he ring by July and kessler rejected the offer because he wouldnt be ready. hopefully then this fight will happen in september so calzaghe can have a bit more time for his hand to heal aswell. but i heard that the froch fight was nearly a done deal? was that a bit premature?

Anyhow, if Kessler was complaining that he wanted until September to prepare, Warren has now given him that. Kessler said that he was willing to come to Britain to fight, so what's the problem?

Game on. I was expecting to see Joe C against Denis Inkin or Carl Froch, but if Warren makes the Kessler fight happen then everyone gets rich, the fans get the fight they want and I get to spend a month's wages on going there and getting absolutely drunk whilst watching a great fight. That is after I step in as Enzo's first opponent for a fight at heavyweight. I'd make Bobby Gunn look like Roy Jones Jr.

Far from done deal Frochs people said there happy with the money offer but the shitty clause that good old franky had to add that Froch fights for Warren if he beats Joe!! This fight wont happen for one man and one man only good old Franky.

At least it confirms Calzaghe wont be fighting a noddy in July...probably instead be fighting a noddy in September.. but still...

Too right...I'm sure some millionaire somewhere is willing to bypass the promoters and get these guys to do some unlicensed boxing in a car park somewhere. Indeed, I'll chip in £50 to ensure that it comes to the car park of my local Co-op, and I'll also help with the security to keep the boy racers out of the area for the evening.

Now somethings is in the works, I know from an interview in the danish paper B.T that the two camps are negotiating the terms and the offer from Warren is real. For the first time they have agreed to not involve the press during the talks and I think that is important this shows they are really serious about the fight.

I think that is now or never ;D hopefully we have something to look forward to in september then.

Thanks for the heads up....but surely if someone is giving an interview they are involving the press? Not to worry, the only important thing is that it is NOW rather than NEVER. My birthday;s on 5 September...so if we could have it arranged for Saturday 8 September at the Millenium Stadium that would be perfect. In fact, I'll just text FW see if that's possible.

dude, The US is far bigger than the entire European continent!!!! Fighting in Los Angeles, California then turnig around and fighting in Atlantic City, NJ is over 2775 MILES!!! get real......fighting your entire career in a country smaller than half of the states in the US is what these guys are talking about.....the Competition is just better in the US....

Fighting in Los Angeles, California then turnig around and fighting in Atlantic City, NJ is over 2775 MILES!!! get real......fighting your entire career in a country smaller than half of the states in the US is what these guys are talking about.....the Competition is just better in the US....

I know this thread seems to be turning into repeated posts about how much I agree with Big H, but I do, and once again you're on the money. There is a bit of an insular attitude in American boxing, where foreign fighters have to go there and fight to get recognition, otherwise they get stick from American fans.
