Steward mentions that both guys have "solid amateur backgrounds"
I just realized I spelled "sizzling" wrong. How come I can't edit it? Help.
EDIT: Figured it out.
Obviously. This probably won't even be close...Steward in a landslide.Quote:

Steward is gonna get this over with before the fighters even get into the ring. Lampley has no chance.
Although now that I think about it. Merchant could call someone by the wrong name in one of the undercard fights before Steward starts talking....Now I'm not sure...I can't think...can't taki it anymore....OOOOHHH THE PRESURE!!! :banghead:
Steward mentions that both guys have "solid amateur backgrounds"..............You know it!!!! ;D
Haha, this topic is absolutely hilarious because I could see all three happening within the span of thirty seconds.
"Solid amateur backgrounds"
When I read that I heard his damn voice! Haunting.
HAHAHA, even in a fight like this where amature background means absoloutly SH***T. He's gonna say it more than once I'm sure.
I wen't with Merchant the man NEVER let's me down. 8)
Fight Breakdown...That's the first thing Steward says.
BUUTTT...We have Ponce De Leon on the undercard, so anything is possible with Merchant.
Yeah, I hope he has something "nice" to say to HBO on his last broadcast.Quote:

SweetPea, to be perfectly honest...Lampley gushes about Floyd as well. His head might explode from all the excitement.
How about Steward yelling "this kid can box".
you just cant bet against merchant in these sort of things.
Probably Merchant. Unless, Steward talks first. Lampley will be last, just because there is an undercard.
But, this is a great thread, simply because everyone at this forum knows all three things will happen.
The question I want to know is which one of these options has the greatsest chance NOT to happen?
Lampley is a lock. Merchant depends on how many he's had already(drinks). Steward is a lock too, simply because he's the trainer, and it's his job to analyze the fighters.
So, my picks Merchant, and Merchant. Gonna miss ya Larry, even though sometimes I can't stand ya.
lamply will try to hold back tears if dlh wins he will get emotional like he did in the vargas fight,
Oh! NO he won't, if ODLH wins he will flat out cry.Quote:

SweeT Pea this is one of the funniest post I read in a while, I picked the Merchant thing 8)

oh yeah and CC by the way sweet pea! keep posting these classics bro! ;D
you know in someways the way to see how this fight might unfold is to compare the young Floyd Mayweather who fought at the lower division vs. Oscar who fought Ruelas. how would that fight have turned out? Tactically it makes a better comparison.
Haha, funny topic.
I dunno who will say what 1st but im sure Larry will make a really childish and ignorant comment about the way Floyd is fighting.....
And take about half a round to say it! ::**
Merchant.....and we have two great fighters...Oscar Dela Roya and Pretty Boy Roy Mayweather...:)
Oddly enough none of these things happened. ???
i wouldnt know the fat asssses in the bar was so loud i couldnt even hear jack from the production team at all?Quote:

Steward wanted to say it so bad and he just couldnt pull the trigger. Kind of like Oscar with the left jab.
I was also disappointed, not in Steward but in Lampley. Normally he has the most perfect bottle grey hair there is, maybe it was because of HD, but he didn't look like he spent 2 hours in front of the mirror before this one.
But you're right. When they turned to Steward before the fight and asked him to pick. The first thing I expected was,
"Well, you know it's a close fight. Both these guys got tremendous strenghts, solid amateur backgrounds..."
But he didn't say it. Worst coverage ever >:mad ;D
Not sure where to stick this...
What was Max Kellerman doing on an HBO PPV except warming up for when Merchant is dismissed? I was not enjoying his presence.
He works the PPVs as part of the panel with James Brown.Quote:

I like Kellerman but he has his soap box moments which tend to get really annoying.
Speaking of Lampley did you guys hear/read that the CEO of HBO was arrested for assaulting his wife/girlfriend/a women he was with?
This happened after the fight on Sat. around 3:00 am. :o
Looks like theres some type of cult going around in the HBO headquarters for beating up on their ladies.... ;D
MMMM... Time heals all wounds. I forgot he was there for that and any other...Quote:
