FIGHTERS THAT TOOK A HUGE SHOT BUT MANAGE TO STILL STAY STANDING

well every one did a good job beating me to the onces that came to mind about fighters getting up when i thought they wouldn't from a knockdown, that was the thread started by ICE COLD BOXING.

this is like the opposite of that,

I couldn't believe Peter was still standing but rock as fwock when wlady landed a huge shot on him.

thats just to start things of guys...whats yours?

Pryor not even blinking after Alexis lands some of the hardest shots you'll ever see. I mean those shots that Alexis lands in rds. 9, 10, 11 & 13 would have dropped anyone under normal circumstances.

Lol the three or four strait RABBIT punches that sam peter gave james toney in the first or second round in theyr second fight!

What about Hagler? One of the first punches in the fight, Hearns times Hagler coming forward with a monster straight right, Hagler takes it square, his head shoots back but his feet keep moving forward. Amazing.

On that note,Ali-Wepner,by the end all that was holding him up was..........,to this day I have no idea what was holding Wepner up

Of recent times Librado Andrade standing through the fight with Kessler really impressed me.

Hatton & Tszyu both traded some solid shots neither went down.

VITALI Klitschko never been knocked down.

going to the Corrie Sanders fight i was there that night at the staples center and i was like whoaaaa hes got one hell of a chin cause corrie was landing some pretty nice bombs in the earlier part of the fight and u can see the impact on vitali sitting how close we were sitting.

CC, CMM. Exactly the fight I would've picked. Both fights were great, but the first one has to go down as one of the best fights in boxing history. And you're right..... Arguello would've dropped just about anybody with those huge shots. The fact that he didn't drop Pryor had to have taken its toll on the man's psyche.

Tyson-Holyfield I ...i think it was round 11 but Tyson was taking a vicious beating and somehow stayed on his feet

Tommy Hearns vs. Iran Barkley in the rematch in 1992. Tommy stayed up and actually came on strong at the end of the round. Larry Holmes a few times went down and he kept fighting. Tyson hardly ever. Nigel Benn in his fight with Gerald McClelland should have been knocked out in round one, and I wish he would have so Gerald would not have been hurt.. Not that I dislike Benn, but that way Nigel and Gerald would have been fine after the fight.

CC#213 TitoFan I'm with 'ya it's one of the best fights of all time. The punches thrown throughout the fight are all with conviction and with the worst intent to damage the opponent. SAVAGE! really.. :o

oh yeah!! To see that would just be deflating ....hit someone with your best shot and he keeps coming forward...I remember when I was 16 and sparring the guy we called "Little Mike Tyson" Avelio Slate....I was coming off the ropes...time a perfect straight right hand counter...crushed his face...saw blood come out of both nostrils....He didn't blink...He smiled at me.....oh SH*T!!! I ran for the rest of the round...tried to get out of there when he landed a glancing body blow but Coach knew what I was up to!!! :)

Well, alot of good picks have been posted.

Castillo has taken alot of big punches over the years, and has never tasted the canvas in 60+ fights. Even against Chico.

I take my hat off to Tyson. "Iron" says it all.

Cant Believe no one has gone for Frank Bruno being left out cold but upright by Floyd Cummings.

With the help of the ropes Ali somehow keeping his feet under him in the 11th round (I think) FOTC.

In Hopkins fight with Trinidad he landed one of the most vicious series of blows, particulariy the last uppercut in the combination.. Was the end of the 10th round I think.. Can't believe Tito didn't go down.

one of the ones that came to my mind was v. klitschko against lewis, he took those ko uppercuts to the chin and stayed on his feet somehow.

Tyson took some good shots from lewis befor he finally fell

Ali v foreman is an abvious one but i was imrpessed with how well hatton took kostyas right hand, he was a man possesed that night

Holyfield taking uppcercut from Bowe in 10th round

Holmes and Norton in 15th round don't know how they stood up must of been bloody exhausted

Lacy against Calzaghe

Hearns hitting Hagler with right hand bang on chin what a shot 10 seconds into fight

The body shot that made Barkley double over in that 3rd round don't know how he took that

Mercer taking all them uppercuts from Holmes

Morrison battering heck out of Mercer in first couple of rounds don't know how he took it

Tyson taking that massive hook from Razor Ruddock in 6th round of there first fight

Larry Holmes getting hell beat out of him by Tim Witherspoon in 9th round
