Ricardo "Mochuelo" Torres his WBO junior welterweight title with a twelve round unanimous decision over Arturo Morua on Saturday night at the Coliseo de la Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. Torres was in command all the way and tried hard to get the knockout, but Morua barely managed to make it to the final bell. It was Torres' first defense. He must now reportedly face mandatory challenger Kendall Holt in 90 days.
WBO minimumweight champion Ivan Calderon retained his world title for the 12th time by split decision against Ronald Barrera. Calderon had the advantage early, but Barrera came on as the bout progressed. Scores were 115-113, 115-113 for Calderon, 115-113 for Barrera. Calderon is rumored to be moving up in weight for his next fight in August.
Unbeaten hot prospect Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez scored a seventh-round TKO over experiencedColombian Jorge Otero to capture the WBO Latino superbantamweight title. Former WBO contender Otero was a strong opponent for the 23-year-old Olympian Lopez, who improved to 16-0 with 14 KOs.

They all killed me in the predictions contest. Whatever. I'm interested in seeing the Calderon bout. He needs to be in there with legit competition and soon.
But JML is the next big thing for the 122 lb division and eventually will be a P4P star imo.

Holt's good but if torres taps that chin its all over ;D
It's gonna be a case of if or when Torres catches Holt, either way I will be on the edge of my seat ;D

Nah! I see this as a Decision win for Holt. It's apparent Torres has lost the snap in his punches and TKO'ing all those opponent in his hometown of Colombia ain't the same as fight World Class opponents.
I think Holts good enough to outbox Torres.

Haha no I know what you mean. Although I've gotten better with it. The Toney - Peter 2 fight. Was getting close with a girl when I remembered the fight, ditched her, found the computer room and posted here. Still get a kick out of it because of how random it was haha

On a serious note Starr, Torres is very limited and the spurs that Arnoutis had showed how he could be outboxed and IMO HOlt has just that to do the job.
