Brooks is on CRACK!!! This is not " Chicanito" Hernandez or Philip N'dou. This is Oscar!!!!! No way in hell he'll be KOed by Mayweather. Vargas landed some solid shots and he couldn't do it. Many people think Floyd will just hit at will, they believe he is 100 times faster than Oscar...he's only about 1.5 times faster. Oscar is not necessarily a SLOW fighter and he can hit! Man can't wait for this fight!

Basing a prediction on Floyd getting cut seems a bit odd to me. Could it happen, sure, but I doubt it will, and either way, its an odd reason to justify a prediction.

Oscar's right hand has gotten better, the question is, like with all his punches, is how consistently is he going to be able to land it.

When has he used the right effectively in the last few years? In the last few years,he has fought B Hop,Mayorga and Sturm,I don't recall the right hand being THAT important. The right hand was being hyped v Vargas but he beat him with the left hook too. His right hand could be a weapon but it's not that great at the moment. I've seen them working on it in training though.

I think its interesting whether or not just winning will be enough for Floyd. Will he fight a very conservative fight like he did against Castillo in the second fight, or against Baldomir, or will he try to put on a show, and try to be exciting to the casual fan?

I wonder about this too. If it is his last fight,I'm sure he wants to go out as high as possible and wants to give the fans something to talk about. Also,he has been waiting for this for a long long time,I remember him mentioning Oscar a long time ago. He may want to leave an impression. Also,if he carries on fighting after this fight,if he wins this fight well,he'll be a big star.

The right is not his main weapon but it is useful now. Before it would just be there on his right hand side blocking...NO MORE. I'm not saying he dominated with the right hand but is using it more. You should watch the Mayorga fight again and see how he used the right hand. The B hop fight doesn't make your point stronger here since Oscar had no chance of winning. Where was Trinidad's explosive power with Winky and Bhop? Who cares, Trinidad had no chance against those two. So we shouldn't even bring those up.

Does anyone EVER expect cuts to factor in a prediction, especially in a Mega Fight? People are always shocked and pissed to see fights being stopped early because of cuts. I think he makes an interesting point though...how would Mayweather deal with a cut in rounds 1 and 2?

That is a misconception about Lil Floyd which even I held until just a short time ago(3 days ago actually). Floyd does care what the fans think at times. He didn't care v Baldo simply because he was playing it safe,he wanted to guarantee the big payday v Oscar. However,most of his career,he has made slight alterations to his style in order to please fans. Watch his fight with Ndou where he stood toe to toe with a dangerous puncher,same with Sosa,Gatti etc etc. They are not the greatest names but he could easily have stunk the joint out in those fights and ran to a UD like he did v Baldo,He didn't. I think he'll look to impress in this fight,well I would like to think he wants to because the world is waiting and will be watching.

Well, at least I can say I hope you're right! I fu**ing fell asleep during the Baldo fight

I think PBF's performance vs Gatti wasn't because PBF changed his style. It was because Gatti completely fought the wrong fight. He gave all his advantages away and tried to box with PBF. If Gatti roughed him up and stayed on him PBF probably would have kept on his bicycle.

The one bad thing about boxing is the paychecks are already made out before the fight starts. I think there is something to be said for paying the winner more, and the winner by ko even more. There have been many stinkers cause the fighter said, "I'm getting paid the same win or lose".

PBF is making millions either way, and he hyped up the Baldomir fight and then ran. I don't believe he's gonna stand and trade. But I don't think he's gonna be able to run much in a small ring.

I would say the same for Delahoya... Putting Reyes gloves on a stinging accurate puncer like Floyd and it wont be pretty.....

I think of all the scenarios for Oscar winning, Glenn Johnson was the most spot on. Mayweather is going to have to come inside a lot imo.

The answer to both your questions is simple : Oscar.

No way that this fight is boring. Oscar will press Floyd & you will see a side of Floyd that none has ever seen.

Now that depends on Floyd. Does he just lay on the ropes, take a beating, & counter or does he fight his ass off & make a show of it.

I say it's the first...but either way...it'll be good.

Do you know how much faster 1.5 times in boxing really is? ALso accumalation could stop Oscar.. A lot of people thought Mayweather could only take Gatti out by cuts, but he busted him up. I doubt he can take out Oscar, but its not impossible.

These predictions are fascinating. I am picking Floyd to win, then I see a great fighter like Duran say Oscar will win and I wonder if I am wrong. Duran is the one who said Hagler would be too strong for Hearns. So who knows. Although Duran fought Hagler and Hearns so he knew more about them than he does about Floyd or Oscar.

Bit surprised by Tommy Brooks comment. I think Mayweather will win, but destroying Oscar in 8 rounds? I guess he thinks that he'll raise his level of fighting for the big moment but I haven't seen anything to make me think he's that kind of puncher at this weight. He's still the sharpest puncher in boxing and he can hurt you with accumulation but still kind of surprising comments from Brooks.

Brooks is on CRACK!!! This is not " Chicanito" Hernandez or Philip N'dou. This is Oscar!!!!! No way in hell he'll be KOed by Mayweather. Vargas landed some solid shots and he couldn't do it. Many people think Floyd will just hit at will, they believe he is 100 times faster than Oscar...he's only about 1.5 times faster. Oscar is not necessarily a SLOW fighter and he can hit! Man can't wait for this fight!

Do you know how much faster 1.5 times in boxing really is? ALso accumalation could stop Oscar.. A lot of people thought Mayweather could only take Gatti out by cuts, but he busted him up. I doubt he can take out Oscar, but its not impossible.

1.5 times is a complete over reaction anyhow. He's not 1.5 times faster than probably even the slowest top profesional boxer. If a sprinter was 1.5 times faster than the competition he would run the 100 meters in under 5 seconds, differences in speed are nowhere near as wide as 1.5 times.

Floyd is probably around 1% quicker than than Oscar and only 2 or 3% quicker than Baldimor. You really think that if you could measure the speed that Baldimor could throw a combination and compare it with Floyd it would actually be 1.5 x slower? ???

The difference would be far far less than that. If someone had reflexes 1.5 times as quick as somebody else, every fight for them would be like that Spiderman fight in the first film in the highschool ::**
