I know the main focus this weekend is on De La Hoya vs. Mayweather, but we can't forget about whats going on tonight either. I was reading an article over on another site and I was just wondering what everyone thinks of this fight and who's going to win. Could either of these guys really do anything in the HW division anyway??

guinn wins. chambers beat a bum in his coming out fight. but i guess guinn is a bum too now...

I'm going Chambers by UD, I don't think he stops Guinn but Chambers is a skilled kid I think he does enough to get the decision.
Chambers has all the attributes of a Philly Fighter" except the propensity to go to war unnessarily. I see him winning a decisive points victory or even a stoppage. I like him a lot.Quote:

The smart money suggests Fast Ediied by UD, the thinking being that he is very consistent while Guinn is very inconsistent and is not nearly as focused as Eddie. I have my bets down and see this as a great coming out for a very solid fighter who, when he puts togther punches, reminds me of Eddie Gregory. Id' pay to see Eddie Chambers fight.Quote:

No disrespect to Guinn, he's a good fighter in his own right but he isn't very fast, he has power but he doesn't throw half as much as he should and he's been hit a lot recently. Chambers on the other hand is so relaxed in the pocket, makes his punches worth his money and he's slick. I see Guinn maybe winning 2 or 3 rounds but not much more then that. And you have to question in his desire. He did not want to be in the ring with Tony Thompson and literally just gave up after 2 rounds.
Although Guinn is back with Ronnie Shields now so you never know, maybe he has rejuvenated himself.
The form guide has to say Eddie Chambers but Guinn is frustrating as hell as he is clearly so much better than his performances.
I do believe that we will see one scintillating performance from Guinn at some point in his career, like Harrison destroying Danny Williams last year.
Whether that will be tonight though is anybody's guess :-\

Still he has the chance to KO Chambers and makes my pick look really dumb. Regardless, I'm really excited to see the fight, because it's going to let me know if I should jump on the Chambers bandwagon. At some point, I figure Guinn is going to catch him with a good shot or two, and if Chambers can take it, keep throwing, and win, I'll probably be winning to take him serious as fighter who can do something against the top heavyweights not named Peter or Klitschko.

Guinn should retire. He is not going to get anything more than he has already out of the sport. If he continues he will just be a stepping stone.

I wish I knew the landed/thrown for Chambers. It seems like most of his punches were on the gloves of Guinn.
