sorry mate, still with Kessler. on points me thinks, but clear enough.
Mundine is still a natural sportsman who is doing a good job of impersonating a fighter. Kessler still beats him easy.
IMO, Kessler beats him 5 out of 5 times regardless when they fight.
Mundine has probably fought better than anyone against Kessler but he is not going to beat Kessler in a second fight.
He is a top 3 contender who is not quite in the class of Kessler and Calzaghe, if he went down to Middleweight Taylor wins a UD.
He will impress against all the others with his hand speed and movement but will not beat the top guys.
I just can't see where you guys are getting this from? Mundine has been in this business for five years right. Well his last fight to Kessler he was half the fighter he is now. And he took Kessler to the distance and won 4 to 5 rounds from him. Attempted to KO him in the 12th but failed. And after impressive wins over Sam Soliman and Danny Green, he is becoming the complete fighter he said he would be.
Although clearly Mundine is one of my favourite fighters. I give it to him on points. Look what he did to Danny Green, who was killing beyer but then got Disqualified.
Mundine on points. Wins 8-9 rounds.
To quick for kessler, similiar defense to floyd and he now posesses punches of the same power as kessler.
I think Kessler is improving too, his demolition of Beyer being the example.Quote:

He should go to Middle where his speed and power would be a handful.

Do you guys think Mundine could reign in middle? i mean take all the belts?
He would have a better chance at Middleweight than at Super Middle against Kessler and Calzaghe, I'm not denying he's good but he will struggle against those two guys. Would he beat Hopkins at 167 or Jones jr? I don't think so.
At Middleweight he gives Taylor a very good fight. Could he beat Winky? No!
Hw would have to do something dramatic in the ring to change my mind.

[/quote] NO
kessler decision
Anthony 'The Mouth' Mundine.
Can't say I support him or his mouth but he is a bloody hard hitter and fights a good fight.
If Kessler can stay clear of Mundine's power points and work the jab and straight then move again, he should win on points.
Otherwise if Kessler tries fight toe-to-toe or punch-for-punch then I say Mundine will K.O him.
Very good post. I think Mundine's power is better than that of Kesslers right now. He is the complete package.Quote:

Kessler doesn't. Hes just a brute. Look at when they fought last he just kept coming forward like a machine. Calzaghe should and Mundine after that, launch a counter attack of flourishes. Then you will see his amateur movements. You need more than power . And simply kesslers agility is nothing special. Mundine KO in the 8th.Quote:

mundine is a gud fighter ...how gud ???wont be answered until he does get another fight with kessler or a bout with clazaghe....saw the fight against green in aussie and had to say he was brilliant that night and green was just hitting air most of the time....i think mundine has improved a lot in recent years and to be a world class boxer it does take time to develop and mature(rember mundine didnt get into the professional ring till he was 24 retired from league)like to see him get given one more shot just to c if he does have the goods to be the best....he has the maturity(ring wise )now
