This list is total bullsh!t and looks to be compiled by a moron. Any list that has Marvin Hagler this low IMO can be thrown out the window:

These lists give me the shits.
Saw the list earlier, didnt post it because it was total horse cr@p
this list is a total disgrace. i mean Larry Holmes only 38? Marvin Hagler on 35? a fighter who never won a title in the top 12? this "boxing expert" is an idiot...lol.
I stopped giving this list any respect when I realized that Pernell Whitaker was at #44, 16 spots lower than Jake LaMotta and 20!!! spots lower than Julio Cesar Chavez.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah, ESPN always does this, they make the list entirely composed of fighters from 1950's as if to say what is happening now or in the last 20 years just doesn't matter.
it is not a great list but it is not bad. Remember this is boxers of all time. Anyone on this list is in good company if you really think about it, regardless of where. Now if someone does not make it on the list that is disturbing. It is hard to make a list like that, everyone has certain criteria. Joe Frazier #26 is what I do not get. I think he was overrated. And this is the problem with rating guys like Gene Tunney with guys now. Guys now would probably beat Tunney easily. Even his son former Senator Tunney said once, it is hard to judge different eras. You can compare now to the 70s since the amatuer rules and fights are similar.. And Mike Tyson is a hard guy to rate. he was so dominant and yet when he lost he lost big.
does the corporate sell-out ESPN say anywhere by what formula the list was created, if one was even used?
Any list with Roy Jones Jr. that low is a fukin joke. They have him below Oscar fukin Delhaoya...give me a break! ;D ::**
Hulk, deep inside your a DLH fan... :P Seriously though, this list is hard to come up with!Quote:

roy jones at 46!!!! wtf was that..roy is top 5 all time..and imo right behind ray robinson....even besides that shane mosely was one of the greatest lightweight fighters ever...period and he didn't even make the list and oscar did...
sweet pea, monzon, bhop, roy, floyd, barrera, all lower than delahoya is fucking dumb...
Uhh you have to be kidding me ???Quote:

even you don't agree with that...46 is toooooooooooooooo low....surely he's top 10...and according to system they used to compile their list he's easily top 5..Quote:

That was one of the, if not, the biggest win of all time. Very few fights were as important as Frazier Ali I. (maybe Johnson vs Jeffries, or Schmelling vs Louis). And he beat the greatest heavyweight of all time, (arguably in his prime).Quote:

You get CC#2 and make a very valid point on that.....Quote:

Depends how you rank it. By actually who beats who He would beat almost everyone in the top 10 p4p. If you are going by prestige, number of fights, most quality opponents, and things like that then he should be in the 30's or 40's.Quote:

I also think Sonny Liston should be up there somewhere.
There is zero logic behind this list. They may as well have drawn names out of a hat.
I can't see a classical top ten list not comprising of
Ali(1 or 2)
Robinson(1 or 2)
Willie Pep(3 or 4)
Henry Armstrong(or 4)
Duran(6)
Ezzard Charles(7)
Benny Leonard(8)
Gene Tunney(9)
Joe Louis(5)
The last person could be anyone, but they hit the top ten pretty well except Jack Johnson and Dempsey IMO. I would probably use Conn.
howcome they dont mention bantan fly or straweight boxers they
there needs to be a old and a modern list
i think marciano is top 10
no zarazoga no pryor no eubanks i hope i think bob foster should be in the list
espn is living in the 50
I can't see a top 10 list without Jimmy wilde full top. not because i am welsh, he may not have had the biggest names on his record, but he damn sure is top 10 if not top 5 p4p in the world everQuote:
