Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Hatton IMO is a good volume puncher @ 140. If Pacquiao went to 140, he would actually be taller and have a longer reach than Hatton. If Pacquiao filled out @ 140, who would win?
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Hmmmmm........interesting one, I would have to go for Hatton as he might be too big and strong for Manny and could bully him.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Pac by KO. They both have bad defense, and Pac hits harder. And he's always in ridiculous shape and never gets tired, so he couldn't be neutralized like Tszyu.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
You really think Pac hits harder? At 140 it's Hatton all the way, to imposing, he would be able to back Pac up and make it an inside fight, something Pac hasn't experienced yet. I like Hatton by KO.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
hatton would be too big , strong for pacman. he wins by ko
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Pac to small Hatton by UD. Hatton is relentless also, can't understand where fatton Hatton comes from but I think that guy can do 15 rounds easy.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
I gotta go with my boi pac,
hatton hasn't look good since koysta and pac is only getting bigger and better, i think all the draining fatton has to do to make 140 won't be a good idea against pacman.

Hmm.. hard to say that after seeing his last two outings.
You say you don't know where all this fatton talk comes from, I say I don't know where all this unbelievable stamina talk comes from.
Sure he looked good against nobodies early in his career, but it's hard to judge him based on those wins.
So when was Hatton's last good performance? Against KT two years ago?
Pac has all the advantage in stamina, imo.
Style match-up, I like Pac in the fight too.
The kind of guys who'll give Manny troubles are slicker guys who have better head and torso movement than Hatton.
Hatton needs a target who'll stand right in front of him.
Pac's awkward Tyson-style bobbing and weaving gives Hatton trouble all night.
I think Hatton gets worked by Pac.
Pac by KO.

I am not a Hatton fan, let's establish that before anything. But if you think Pac is not to small for Hatton then you must be a resident of one of those countries that legalized Marijuana. Also one of those two fights you talk about was at 147 and did not feel comfortable at his weight, maybe since then he has grown into it, you never know. It's funny that in your post you were able to point out so many great things about Pac and not one about Hatton who is an undefeated world champion. I smell Bias.

Hey, I like Hatton as a person.
Of course I'd never count out size difference in a fight, but in all honesty Hatton just does not come off as imposing as a lot of people make him out to sound.
That's why he has trouble making fans outside of his home. If you're a fan of his, he looks great. But if you don't know him too well, he just does not impress, I'm sorry to say.
I have just never been impressed with him aside from the KT fight.
I'm not saying I think he got lucky for one night only, but I have to wonder if the REAL Hatton was the one that went into the KT fight? Or are we seeing the REAL Hatton now
And it's hard for me to look at Hatton vs Urango or Collazo and think he'll beat Pac fighting like that.

Didn't Pac weigh 147 in the ring in one of his last 2 fights? Plus he's got a height and reach advantage over Hatton. I understand Hatton has fought at a higher weight class, but that doesn't make him bigger. I think you'd be very surprised if they got in the ring together, and that Pac would actually be bigger.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
I wouldn't want Pac to jump straight to 140 and fight Hatton. Not saying Pac couldn't hang, but I think Hatton might be a little big right now.
Pac vs Cassamyora
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
I like Hatton in 1-6 round.
I like Pac in 7-12.
If Hatton fails to KO Pac in early rounds, he will be SEVERLY punish by the Pacman in mid to late rounds.
The odds are 50/50.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Yea, Pac does come in the ring big and strong come fight night... I'll reserve judgement till after the Castillo fight

I don't see why not. Floyd jumped to super middle. Mosley jumped from lightweight to welterweight. If you're p4p then it shouldn't matter. It would be a challenge.

Agreed, it shouldn't matter. I would just be rooting for Pac, and that might to too much, besides, I still think JMM deserves the first shot at Pac, in which I will be rooting for JMM. :D
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Pac is a great fighter, but he should be worried about fighters like JMM and maybe even Casamoyer, don't care how much you want to hype him not 140. Besides just because Floyd did it does not mean everybody will do it.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Hatton fans should feel awefully embarrassed that their hero, who recently captured a belt at welterweight, would be expected to be knocked unconcious by a super featherweight. I mean that's just downright embarrassing.

Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
shite topic. hatton is to big and he is the big dog at 140, even the pac man couldnt beat him there.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Hatton would work him. By round 8 Manny's corner would be throwing the towel. He's too small to take rounds of body shots from Hatton. He'd walk out looking like Gatti.
-
Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
as much as i like pac, his advantage for this fight; speed, workrate, stamina and power will be more than offset by hatton's size. i don't discount an upset but two weight class jump is too fast/risky.
imo, pac vs diaz at 135 is a good match-up.

LOL I know, never knew Pac hit harder than people like Vince Phillips, Kostya Tszyu and John Thaxton. He is one tough guy!

the third pac-em fight, pac weighed at 144.. close to 147... and everytime he hits morales who is taller and has a longer reach morales would wobble like a jelly.. come on man.. it would be a good fight but dont count pac out... hes been counted out a lot of time against much bigger names... look where he is now

I think Pac was only 140 in the ring against Solis, even though he's probably about as tall as Hatton his frame is wirey, he probably wouldn't gain any weight overnight against Hatton, which would mean he'd be perfectly hydrated and his stamina would be as good as it could be, Hatton would come in at 152-154 on the night, and he's always in terrific shape and able to go 12 (other than against Urango but apparently he was ill :-\) so I'd have to give Hatton the edge because of the vast strength advantage, when fighters make it as physical as Hatton does, when your significantly weaker strength wise it breaks you, Hatton would get more off and smother Pacquiao to a UD IMO. Would be a very intresting fight though, and maybe not as clear cut as I described.

Hatton is not only too big, he is also far too strong. He hasn't impressed americans because on his 2 showcase fights he has fought two big southpaws who were quite a lot stronger than him. Hell he rarely impressed us English fans when he fought southpaws at domestic level. However he still gets the job done and that's what is important. You will see come the Castillo fight anyway....
Hatton stops Pac by the way, who also has his hands full if he fights Valero or Guzman. I think they are more realistic targets for him.

Re: Wait a minute...hmmm...Pacquiao vs Hatton @ 140...who ya got?
Paquiao would beat hatton, simple.
two things
Pac is in good shape
Pac is a southpaw with power

Of course Pac is in good shape he is a top p4p pro boxer! But if your saying Pac hits harder than Kostya Tszyu you need to have a word with yourself!

This posting is a prime example of some of the nonsense I have read on this thread. ::**
Hatton has been comfortable at a higher weight for an eternity and would be too powerful, and dare I say it, skilled for Pac...
Pac would lose some of his speed going up and his body would not be as strong as it is against his current opponents in his lower weight class...
Hatton would bruise up his ribs and probably stop him...Of course Pac would hit Hatton but would he carry that power and speed up? No some of it would get lost on the way.
Remember where Pac started his career folks...he could never go to junior welterweight!!

At this point in time its safe to say that Hatton rules the roost at 140. Anybody moving up from 130 and even 135 would have a bad bad night against Hatton. Hattons only problem is if he himself decided to step up to 147 pounds. He's fine at 140, but at 147 he conceded too much height, reach, power and would get hit harder than ever before. Ive no issued with him staying at the weight that is the most ideal for him and taking on anyone who dares to take him on.
He has nothing to prove by going up to 147 and was silly to take on the fight with Collazo...He's fine doing what he's doing.

More nonsense friend...paquiao weighs in at 130 and comes to fights weight of 145.
If pac fights at 140 he gon come to the fight about 150, he gonna carry all the power he has at 130 and has shown at 135, trust me pac is trouble for hatton all day friend

A nonsensical post. Pac has never fought above where he is now. So what if he fills up after the weigh in?? Most fighters do. Hatton would undoubtably be the bigger man with a lot of experience at his weight and the better skills IMO.
Its unlikely that Pac would ever venture up to 140 pounds. He's at his optimum weight where he is.
Hatton would outbox him and hurt him badly.

And as for 135 pounds? Again its not even a possibility. Hatton would never go down. It wouldnt be fair on his body.

It is possible.
Have you seen Pac-Morales 3? Erik drained himself to go down 130 from 180.
Same thing what will happen with Ricky. He will be weak and uncomfortably slow if he meet Pac @ 130.
If you say Hatton will easily beat Pac @ 140.. I agree!, but Pac will also easily beat Hatton @ 130.
