Alioto's? It's the one everyone goes to for the view and I guess it has the best seafood too. My mom loves that place, everytime I go there I get the spaghetti that has the white sauce but taste looks just like tomato, and fill up on the brushetta bread :DQuote:

Hahaha, you know at first, I was going to say "Lyle, what do you know about seafood in the south?" then I realized...well yeah :-[Quote:

Although Clam Chowder is awesome. P4P, next time your in the Bay, hit up Monterey Bay. Awesome city, one of the coolest niche cities in California. Not really a party town or anything and a lot of it is old people, but the place is the most beautiful place in the country. Seriously, it's ridiculous. Hella expensive though. And it's just a short drive from Santa Cruz which is the most stereotypical California city in the state. Plus you got roller coasters like 30 feet from the ocean.
wait a min i just had a flash back of the beginning of the STEP BY STEP tv show where they are all on the rollercoaster and u see its right next to the ocean lol!Quote:

Santa Cruz is awesome though, like the most chill place ever. You can skateboard through the drive throughs there and the Little Ceasars gave us pizzas for free. If it wasn't so far away I would be there a lot. Oh yeah and you can smoke weed just walking down the street, crazy.
Boil or steam them until they soften up a bit.Quote:

Depending on how many tails or what they weigh...set a timer for eight minutes if prepping two lobsters.
Midways through...remove them as they've softened. Then take a knife & split them down the back. Don't cut the tail off.
Continue to boil them or steam them a bit more...until ready.
Again...the process should run for about 8-10 minutes.
If you just want to steam the lobsters...that's easy. Just cook them in a colender atop a pot boiling water. Usually...that only takes about 3 minutes. The steam softens them REALLY fast...believe it or not...faster than putting them in boiling water.
After either process...just mix some garlic, lemon juice, & thyme together & then nuke that for a glaze.
If you really want to spice it up...add some wasabi powder...it's the bomb!

I miss him too :( And I wouldn't mind a "corporate lunch" at Aliotos either ::**
BTW - and this is so weird - I'm having Little Ceasars pizza for the first time since that time in Santa Cruz which I posted about. How odd. 5 dollar large pizzas though really can't be beat.
Yeah you take the shell off after you cook it ;D
Amat, WTF  Lobster is probably the single greatest food. Ever. If I was on death row and was having my last meal lobster would be a part of it somehow.
Sorry, medical science(as described as me looking at them)has decreed Lobsters as a really big ugly bug,and I dont eat bugs
Not on purpose anyway... ;)
It's pretty rare that I disagree with you on something it seems but this might be one of them. However, I'm not a picky eater anymore and am pretty much open to try anything. I don't like seafood all that much but I am coming around in a big way on sushi and other stuff so lobster is probably worth another try. I think it's just the preset disposition I had to hating seafood that led to me not liking it before. Still, I remember not liking it not for the seafood taste but for the...tanginess of the cocktail sauce. I think that's the right word for the situation. I felt kind of bad, they served the cocktail in this huge wine type glass it was all fancy done and everything in Monterey at this very expensive place, I just couldn't eat it I traded my mom foods and I NEVER trade foods. I will give it another try but from what I remember I didn't find it all that good.
