Anyone ever have a nightmare like this?

It's a first person view and everything feels exactly like it does when you're awake so its hard to tell if its a dream or not but thats not the worst part. The worst part is when im consciously involved in the dream and im actually thinking about wether or not its a dream. Then sometimes its even wierder than that. Sometimes while im consciously debating wether its a dream or not i can almost tap into my subconscious and know whats coming next in the dream. Like something flashes into my head and i know its about to show up in the dream so i look around for it and usually within a few seconds something of the nature of the thought shows up.

just alittle sidenote: Sometimes when im in dreams like this where i know im dreaming i actually wake my self up and part of my brain hurts really really bad.

had troble sleeping one night, me wife gives me some Unisom ( sleeping aid) I fell asleep , was in a sword fight with ninja's from dusk till dawn, I woke up tired as hell !

the only time i can think of where his story didnt really go anywhere was the road trip to ohio story i think it was. i think we all was waiting for the big climatic ending that never came?

dude that wasn't a story i was explaining something. I do tend to ramble sometimes but eh it happens. I'm bipolar and usually sleep deprived if it helps you understand.

And if you think im bad you should be glad you dont have to hear from this kid i used to hang out with he would state his point of the story in the first three seconds and then just fill it with some useless nonsense for 6 minutes. Thats not what i do i just kinda ramble with no real sense of focus and maybe occasionally there isn't really a point to it either. :(

Has anyone ever quit smoking using the nicotine patches??
If you leave them on while your sleeping they give you really vivid crazy warped dreams..

I had some crazy nightmares when I forgot to take my patches off. They are next to impossible to distinguish when your in them whether it's real or fake, and you feel completey trapped..
I can handle my horror movies and stuff like the next guy, but the intensity of the nightmares I woke up scared f'n shitless like I was 5 years old again... It's one of the strangest experiences of my life..

So if anyone wants to have a crazy nightmare, stick a nicotine patch on about an hour before sleeping, and your instore for a trippy night gauranteed!! :-\

Just adding to above.. Their are times when you can drift awake slightly that you can take in your room and everything, but you are still dreaming so killers or monsters or anything appear in your room to attack you and you have zero suspision that your dreaming... It's truly terrifying being convinced you have someone in your room about to kill you and not being able to do anything about it...

Yea that happens to me alot bro.

I've heard people say that strange foods cause it but most of the time when it happens to me i haven't slept in awhile.

I havedreams where I've said 'wake up this is a dream ' a trainee gobshite Shrink told me thats impossible which is utter shit cos it happened i know whathappens in my own dreams you fuck !

Had a dream where i got my mate up inthe middle of the nght to drive my van home after i'd dragged him out to jump start a hire car only i had rented , when i got there i turned the key and it shot into life , meaing i didnt need the motherloving van in the 1st place . We argued and he told me i always let him down .

Thing is he is on his last legs he's got complete Cancer of the liver his kidneys are fucked and his legs look like 2 giants hams . We don't go out any more cos i know he should'nt be drinking even a drop but he reeks worse thanever of drink !

I honestly think its my own way of telling me i've turned my back on him even thoughhe is the one who rings me when he's pissed to have a pop at me .

I have dreams where i have a gun but it won't fire or I'm sparring and the gloves are so heavy i cant even throw one punch , think it has something to do with fear of impotancy .

Some dream analyzer (i love fake doctors) said that being unable to throw a punch or use a weapon in a dream indicates that you are a peaceful person and dont wanna hurt anybody or some bs like that. They also said dreaming about a black skateboard means you're going to be famous (this is where i called shenanigans on the whole thing). Did you ever successfully wake yourself up from one of those dreams and if you did, did you get that horrible migraine on the left side of your head?

Jeez some of you guys have it bad.

I have some dreams where i cant keep my feet on the ground and i just drift off up into the air... Usually no more than about 30ft. But im always spinning n diping slowly, nearly getting my toes to the ground then, like a ball thats being pushed underwater, i pop back up into the air again... and its always this feeling of just being out of control.

The other drea i get, which i fwocken hate is when im pissed at someone and no matter how pissed i am, i just cant swing for em. Infact, the more i try, the more i mug myself because the harder i go to swing, the slower my hands move..... And i mean Sloooooooow.... Asssssssss Punches >:mad

Now the subconscious thing happens when i'm awake. Like it'll feel just like it does in a dream and i get all paranoid look over and nothing happens. I'll be up in my room (usually listening to coast to coast am which has some crazy shit on sometimes), which is dark, and all of a sudden it'll just feel like there's something near me. I used to get the feeling all the time when i was in a funeral home very often and i dunno if its a ghost or what, but it won't leave me alone. Sometimes it seems like there's more than one.

The only thing is, you cant move for sheet! I mean not a muscle. Pretty soon your in panic becuase it kinda feels like you cant breath either!

Eventually you manage to burst out of it or you simpy slip back into inconciousness.... Which is just ef'd up!

Yeah its like you're awake and laying there with your eyes closed but you can't move at all. Thats more annoying than anything else. Another classic is the "Oh shit I fell dream". Sometimes i'll be half asleep and feel like i slipped on something (sometimes my leg even moves which makes it that much more messed up) and it'll feel like i fell on my bed.

I can honestly say I never had a wet dream.... But I always wanted to experience it, Anybody ever had one? ;D

So here goes.

I've had several of these they have started to happen repeatedly in the last year or so. The last one I had was about 2 months ago.

I was falling asleep in my room and my girl spent the night being that it was Friday and she occasionally sleeps over on Fridays.
Well I was falling asleep, I wasn't fully asleep yet when suddenly I feel someone get on top of me I opened my eyes and I saw a dark haired women on top of me I tried to move/rollover but I couldn't then I tried to scream and I couldn't she then leaned over towards me and started caressing me and tried to kiss me. I got scared and my heart started pounding really hard then I tried to move again and was trying to reach over for my girl to wake her but I couldn't and I would scream and my mouth would open but NO sound would come out. Then she reached down to grab my dick and I kept trying to move when I managed to get a hold of my girls underware with the tip of my fingers and I pulled her underware she woke up and shooke me and I started telling her what happened. I didn't tell her the whole thing about the girl I saw, I just explained to her that I felt someone on top of me she told me it was a dream and to go back to sleep but I couldn't my heart was racing. So I laid there trying to calm down I got up and walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I came back and sat at the side of my bed drinking water, my girl asked me if I was OK. I said yes by this time I was awake. I lay down and just try and get myself to go back to sleep when suddenly I fwocken see that dark haired women walk right past me in front of the bed. My heart almost flew out of my chest and I said out loud oh! shit!! and my girl woke up suddenly and she was like What? What happened? I was like nothing, nothing just go back to sleep. I didn't sleep for shit! that night.
I was awake from 3:18 a.m. all the way 'til it was time to get up for work. :(

The next day I got on line and started looking for meanings of dreams and I came accross this. :-\

Seems like a dead on match to your problem. I'm not one to say you're crazy as i've had a hooded figure that was very grim reaper looking touch me while i was awake (of course the obvious solution to this is close your eyes and hope it disappears in a few minutes) and some spiritual ghost bs happening almost nightly. It says there that the female (succubus) collect semen and then the male (incubus) takes it to impregnate women. All i gather from that is that you have one really REALLY difficult child support case in the near future that you don't have a good aliby for. "I swear a demon did it"

Some crazy shit. I also sometimes have a wierd variation of these types of dreams where i can't consciously control what happens but i know and sense whats gonna happen next. Like i see it before it happens. Usually when its a dream i have complete control over i try to bring about somebody to beat up but it usually doesn't work.

Creepiest dream of all time for me (well its a two way tie).

First one i had when we were still living in an apartment but we were moving soon. I had a dream that i was in a room with brown carpeting and beige speckled walls. Well the dream was a quick one which consisted of me hiding under the covers but seeing enough of the room to know what it looked like. There was this creature like a foot away from my fave and it had these huge green glowing eyes and i woke up scared to no end but forgot about it after a few hours. We move into our new house and guess what my fucking bedroom looks like? ::** They originally positioned my bed so that the door placement and everything was just like in the dream. That was a rough couple of nights.

The second is a reoccuring dream i had over the course of several years (i was 7 the first time it happened) and i've probably had it atleast 30 times (and i've been a wreck every single time i woke up from it). Basically i'm up in a friends house (the room design of the room i'm in is consistant with how their bedroom looked but that all) playing in some chucky cheeze like tubing. I get out of the tubing and the room is very blue and cold looking (like in some horror movies). I can't find anybody but i'm always moving around because i have this vision of something chasing me. I go downstairs and it's just a cave like room with blood all over the place. I leave the house and try to go into other ones. Every other house (2nd one from the original, 4th one from the original, etc.) is exactly the same with cave like features and blood all over the place. The others (every odd house stemming from the original one basically) are abandoned but they are very nice looking and everything seems in order. I enter one of the bad houses and all of a sudden something darts towards me and i wake up. The first time i had it, i was literally shaking non stop for 20 minutes and couldn't move. To this day i've never thought of or seen anything on tv more graphic than what was in that dream.
