I hope to god this fight doesn't happen, that would be a nail in the coffin of Roy Jones and I'd fear for his health.
Ugh... Kessler's going to hurt RJJ badly... what weight would this be at? I thought RJJ couldn't get below LHW.
Im worried that Jones is trying to hard to get that last big win to secure his legacy, when he really doesnt have to. Its depressing to see this once great warrior being beaten by guys that he could have destroyed in his prime...
I think the Roy COULD get down to 168 but it could well involve amputation ;)
Perhaps his ego would suffice.Quote:

roy is fighting hanshaw on july 14 at 168 so he'll make weight....and imo opinion kessler is overrated and this would be a good test for both of them the winner should fight JC...because i think JC would embarrass kessler...still not totally sold on him..he reminds me of this top contender that was undefeated and the next big until he fought lennonx lewis and his name was michael grant....Quote:

Should Jones beat the tough Hanshaw, we could have a marvelous November Jones-Kessler promotion in Copenhagen come November. That will be the time of my 50th anniversary as a promoter. It would be the best super middleweight ever against Kessler, who is the best at 168 pounds today.”
Jones is promoted by Murad Muhammad. Muhammad concurs with the fighters and Palle that Jones-Kessler would be a hot match.
Calzaghe and Warren are just frustrating!!! >:mad :-\
I really dont see the urgenct to try and fight Taylor. He is comfortable at middleweight and is coming off a string of poor showings. Just make a fight with Kessler happen!!
If a Jones Jr: Kessler fight comes off then it will be a kick in the face that Calzaghe would have brought on himself...
He is 35 and has no urgency to make the fights that matter happen come what may...
God knows who he will fight next :-\
RJJ would'nt be able to make weight. There's plenty of fighters at this class looking for opponent status refugeed from middleweight who missed the boat.
I agree that the weight issue will be a problem for RJJ, and if it ever does get made, I expect it to either be at a catchweight or at light heavyweight.Quote:

So Calzaghe could lose a fight with Jones and Kessler at the same time Calzaghe has to hurry and make a good fight or Kessler will pass him to the top without even fighting him Kessler is fighting bigger fights against tougher men while Calzaghe just seems to be messing about but if we think about it Calzaghe has always done this fought lower grade of opponent just Kessler is making it more obvious to us by him fighting good fightersQuote:

Apart from that, who if Calzaghe going to fight now ? Are there any at 168 ? Mundine maybe ??
Taylor is taller and walks around about the same wight as calzaghe lol... Roy jones may have been great at LHw but fuck me his best weight is middle.... hell he is small than Taylor.. + his old past it and washed up...
In his prime he would beat Kessler and Calzaghe quite comfortably but now they both would beat living hell out of him well maybe not that bad but you get my point.
i hate calzaghe. he's so frustating >:mad
roy's fight in july is @ 168 so if he were to fight kessler in november he'll have plenty of time settle into the weight...amd if he happens to beat kessler in copanhagen and JC doesn't fight him..then ;)Quote:

yeah if roy looks good in july at 168...bhop might be tempted to a rematch and then joe will lose any leverage that he has....Quote:

Poor Kessler in his last fight he beat up on a tuff human punching bag, now he's possibly going to face the greatest fighter of all time. Thats a BIG differnce, past his prime or not, Roy Jones is STILL Roy Jones.
Jones Jr is just talking shat, He won't do it... I promise yaQuote:

I think the Kessler may be looking at his as a way to force Calzaghe to fight him. Beating a former P4P great and a future HoF'er in the once great and still very good RJJ will stir up an even bigger demand for the Kessler-Calzaghe Showdown. In my opinion, if Kessler is as good as everyone believes he is (he looks pretty damn impressive from what I've seen) he should be able to handle RJJ, maybe not easily, but he should win.Quote:

Nuthugger? That's a bit uncalled for..i was simply stating that RJJ v Kessler would be a good test for both of them and the winner should fight JC...how is that nuthugging? cmon i know you're a kessler guy but you jumped the gun on that one....Quote:
