WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Don Jose explained: “My opinion is that there should be a re-match. I’m sure that Floyd Mayweather isn’t very happy to have won by such a close margin. And I’m sure that Oscar De La Hoya is very unhappy to have lost the title in such a close match. So a re-match should be the best thing to happen.”
Floyd also has a few more days to decide whether he wants to keep his WW/super WW titles.
Describing Floyd as one of kind, Don Jose said he retains the capacity and capability to fight as a super lightweight, welterweight and super welterweight, and is: “A master of self defense.”

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I think they should go about it. since oscar now knows what hes up against the second fight could turn out to be a classic.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
What the FWOCK! for?
So ODLH can get humiliated?
Jose needs to STFU and start paying attention to his other belt holders..... >:mad

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
There's still people out there who think de la hoya could win a rematch
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Guilty
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I've said it before and I'll say it again...... immediate rematches are always a bad idea.
Floyd will win again, and he'll win easier this time.
I can't wait to watch both of these guys fight again, but not against each other. Let's get Floyd and Shane in the ring, and Oscar and Tito in the ring.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I'd much rather see floyd fight someone else. If there is a rematch, Floyd will win the same, probably a larger margin. I know I'll watch it, but I don't want to have to pay money to watch the same fight, but with less chance for Oscar.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
god damn it , is anyone really interested in this fight ?
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I wanna see Oscar & Hatton fight. It'd be a great attacking fight and I can't lose either way cause I love 'em both.

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Of course they want a rematch...why $$$$$$$$$$ that is simple and I would watch it as well ;D
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Oscar was the one getting shuck up by Mayweather maybe Mayweather now he knows he can hurt Oscar would go for the stoppage the 2nd fight could be better

Could be a great fight....I thought the first was decent enough...a rematch will kick it up a notch!
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Why is the boss still the boss of the WBC ?
A attention needing powercraving nobody who got some credit in life for being responsable for one boxingorganisation
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
everyone always wants oscar to get rematches until he wins...because he's never beaten an A-rated fighter (prime) so this isn't a surprise...i think floyd might actually throw the fight this time and make 60million....by betting on oscar
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I have to agree not only would de la hoya loose...it would be worse this time...he had his chance time for mayweather to face a new opponet if he decides to fight again..

CC man, thats all I can see as an outcome. No KO's just the same fight with PBF landing more punches than before. He (Jose) just wants to make a mint, AGAIN.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Yeah, it wouldn't have anything to do with sanctioning fees would it Jose? ::**

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I have absolutely no desire to see a rematch. Floyd will handle Oscar easily... again. I'd go so far as to say he might even be able stop him this time. I still cannot figure out how one of the judges scored the fight for Oscar.
I've said it before, but this shit strikes me as being as scripted as WWE, and we - the boxing fans - are being played for fools just because the greedy parties involved in this want to line their pockets with some more of our money. This is bullshit.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I ABSOLUTELY want to see a rematch....
ODLH might of got outpointed (barely) but oscar made that thing a fight, if he didnt move forward it would of turned into a staring contest, rather than a boxing match. plus alil extra time with freddy, wouldnt hurt for ODLH...rematch would be big
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
a rematch ain't that bad i suppose but i would prefer mayweather vs mosley
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I would rather see Mosley vs Mayweather but i thought Mayweather won by 3 rounds Oscar was ahead but he gave away later rounds if he takes rematch he needs to work on his and work on his stamina because those two things cost him the fight.
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Actually, Mr. WBC boss, it would Mayweather-De La Hoya this time and I for one ain't buying it!
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
It would be good for mainstream appeal but I don't think there is any need for one. Floyd won comfortably. Oscar changed as much as he could but he is NOT a pressure fighter,as I said on numerous occasions in the lead up to the fight. His jab is not there anymore. Those flurries were missing BADLY. Him baning to the body looked awkward, they were arm punches mainly, habing no effect and if he can't land the left hook,he can't hurt you,the right hand is weak. Oscar should fight Tito or retire imo.

What are you on about??? Wrestling is real and you know it! ::** ;D

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
The rematch probably would turn out to be a better fight but
a) id still rather see Floyd fight Mosley
b) Roach needs to attend to Pacs continuing development. It would be a horrible to just neglect Pac like that.

It'd be the same fight. Floyd would box his way to a decision win. Not sure what Shane can do that Oscar can't really.

CC, agree completely. Though I'm not even sure how good for mainstream appeal this would be--I enjoyed the first fight, but none of the non-hardcore boxing fans I know who watched the fight enjoyed it.

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
FLoyd should defend his WBC belt agasint the No 1 ranked fighter... Mosley at WW! only fight im interested in seeing floyd in right now.

We're in agreement, Preme.

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I'm pretty sure floyd was orderd to fight mosley after the de la hoya fight ???
-
Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
I'd like to see it again. And I don't care how many losers "sad click" what I'm about to say, but I think De La Hoya won that fight. Maybe Floyd would win convincingly next fight, but until he does, I still say he won a close decision that could have went either way, and Floyd talks bigger than he fights.

Am I correct in thinking that a WBC championship fight would entail both fighters having to pay sanctioning fee's to Mr Jose amounting to a percentage of their purses for the fight?
PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS FIGHT NEVER HAPPENS. I FOR ONE DO NOT WANT TO SEE GRUBBY LITTLE MR JOSE GET ONE GREASY FAT FINGER ON ANY MORE CASH!

I believe so. This is the problem with sanctioning bodies--their titles are purchased, rather than won.

I have a question. A serious one not the typical boxinggorilla load of bologna (BO-LOW-KNEE). If you take away the alphabet belts and just leave The Ring belts, is there enough fights being made to keep boxing on the tube every other weekend or so?
If getting rid of the bodies means less fights then they can stay.

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Part 2? More jerkin' offf showcased. Hopefully Mayweather really retired.

Re: WBC Boss Calls For De La Hoya-Mayweather II
Boxing Politics- ordering a rematch when Floyd won fair and square! Why doesn't this guy Don Jose just be honest and say he wants to rip people off on a second fight.
