Sharmba Mitchell Wants To Fight Luis Collazo

Thoughts ??

This would be a make or break fight for both fighters as both really need a victory to re-establish themselves on the world scene.
And could make for a real entertaining one 2!

Id really like to see Collazo take this one and u no, i think he does have the ability to b a champ again he just needs to get back some momentum.

Problem with Collazo he isn't active enough thats what cost him in Mosley and Hatton fight.

Ye id agree with that alri....Beautiful boxer and counterpuncher but needs to raise his output. But i think he'll do that if he really is hungry to get back to winning ways.

Sharmba will get KO'd by any legit welterweight. He was a nice 140 pounder in his day, but he's old, broken down by injuries, and in over his head at 147.

I mean.. Sharmba is way past it now.. and collazo isnt no head banger..But he hits harder then his record suggests..Frankly Louis Stops him easily..

Although as someone mentioned earlier..I would like Luis to be more active.. It does cost him..

He has been getting beat up more and more in his latest fights... Will he ever be a major contender again? No.

There are many prospects that have been looking to fight him. He is looking like he is reaching the point where the younger guys are looking to put that benchmark on their careers.

I really like Luis collazo...it impresses me how this guy takes big fights on such short notice and hasn't looked bad at all doing so...he gave both hatton and mosley some decent comp. I belive he will more than ready for mitchell....somebody earlier said this is a make or break fight for both guys which i completly agree with

Collazo should win this easily. Sharmba has been shot for a while. Luis is a pretty good fighter,I like him. Fast hands,crisp compact punches and slick. Can box really well but can war too. Good fighter.

Im not sure it will come off...

But as far as warm up fights go..It could be a good fight with a named fighter..Shot or not

For Collazo.. Coming off losses to two good fighters he could do with a win or two to pad his record..Then get the bigger fights again..

Mitchell is beyond shot at this point, Collazo should KO him, which is good because I like Collazo, ever since he beat Hatton and got robbed.
I wish he would have been able to fight through the pain of his hand injury in the Mosley fight because it was getting competitive before he got hurt.

I really like collazo too.. But this is because he showed how good and underated a fighter he was when he LOST a close fight to hatton ;) :)

Lol, CC. I guess we agree to disagree. I honestly thought, and I was cheering for Hatton (and I would cheer for him again in a rematch), that Collazo took most if not all of the middle rounds, and almost all the very close rounds I felt he won as well with crisper, more accurate, and frankly more damaging punching... also, I think you could have scored the 12 round where Hatton got rocked repeatedly a 10/8 round - but maybe I need to see the fight again, it was a long time ago.

Yeaa its a toughy to score..

But everyone can agree on one thing... Luis showed what he was all about and his stock went way up after that fight..

Its a shame.. Because it was close yes.. But even the people who think hatton won it.. know that the fight did more for collazo then it did for hatton ..

Collazo would tax that ass.

sHARMBA NEEDS TO GO AWAY.

I like Collazo but he does go to sleep for periods of a fight andf thats what cost him against Hatton.
Going down in first round didn't help either but he's tough and he got back up and he's skilled and he shows good defence.
I'd be very surprised if he didn't beat Sharmba Mitchell and that would serve him well.
He would be back among the busy end of the fight scene and he still has plenty to offer.
He just desperately needs to throw more leather.

boxrec has this down as an IBF light middleweight eliminator, should be intresting!
