His stamina let him down in teh Mosley and Tito fights . If he just didnt take his foot off teh gas he could have beaten Floyd and, Tito and Mosley the 2nd time but Oscar fades in fights , thats just teh way it is . I think Floyd can do better in a rematch , he didnt look as good as he could first time round but I think we saw the best of what Oscra has at his age and it wasnt good enough . Next time he will only be older .Quote:

Not show up. :)
I really mean that....
I think theres NOTHING he could do within the rules to beat PBF.
I really think PBF would embaress him this time around.
No faith in your boy Mick ?? i think Oscar may be able to do better if he works on few things that cost him 1 use his jab for full 12 and not stop throwing it 2 work on his stamina this two things cost him of course i could be wrong but still those 2 things he needs to work on if the rematch happens which it looks likely that it will.Quote:

As for using his jab, I just figure that he obviously saw something most of us didn't, as it clearly was working for him for a couple of rounds and he wouldn't just abandon it if he wasn't wary of something Mayweather was doing.. That and the fact that the guy with better skills almost always does better in rematches by making the proper adjustements, and Oscar is only going to get older. He probably can't do much about his stamina at this point in his career either, I mean why on earth wouldn't he have done it for the first match if he could possibly be in better shape.. Im really not interested in seeing a rematch at all actually.
I would rather see Mosley vs Mayweather because i think Mosley has better shot than Oscar but from what i've been reading it looks like that it will be Oscar vs Mayweather rematch but i don't think its fair i feel in Mosleys last few fights he is more deserving than Oscar.Quote:

Floyd now knows Oscar completely, is still young, would be even more comfortable at 148-150 not to mention Floyd trains the same for all his fights just like Evander Holyfield 1000000000000000000000% so conventional wisdom would point toward Floyd stepping it up and beating him real bad this time..
i think PBF would beat him better than he did the first time.
Faith is one thing.Quote:

Theres nothing ODLH can do he has everything against him he didn't do it the 1st time theres no way he can do the 2nd.
He's aged and if they fight again PBF will overwhelm him.
Not even his jab, or his stamina will save him from that.
I think if he would stay commited to the jab it will be a whole different fight. If he keeps working with the jab, tweaks his stamina a bit, and keeps alittle bit more pressure on floyd than in the first fight, i'm saying he wins the rematch.
Floyd beats him hands down no matter what....Oscar could perhaps dribble less ;)
How is he supposed to "tweak his stamina"?? Stamina has been a problem for him his entire career, he's not going to magically solve the problem at the age of 34.Quote:

Wasn't he originally ordered to fight mosley "immediatly" after his oscar fight or his title would be stripped (not the one from oscar but the other one)?Quote:

Fight him like Hatton fought Tszyu. Mug him, don't let him use his speed. Run into him, keep coming forward and collide with him with your body and then punch. Gotta really make it rough, not just say you're going to.
That strategy from a bigger guy can beat PBF. And I don't think PBF hurt ODH with any shot. He got some respect, but ODH wasn't hurt. He didn't wobble him, he hit him good, but ODH still came forward and wasn't hurt. The body shot in the 10th caught him off guard and ODH felt it but was never hurt or in danger. And PBF didn't even attempt to follow up with those.
The stamina thing with ODH is silly. It's not like the guy crumbles. He just doesn't fight at the same speed he did in early rounds. His stamina isn't suspect, he just goes harder in early rounds. It's like a runner, some coast early and finish strong, some start fast and coast to the finish. It was really annoying to hear all the commentators talking about ODH's stamina. He's never completley gassed out. Against Mosley the 2nd fight it wasn't stamina, it was Mosley's hard body shots the whole fight.
Overall, I would rather see Mosley fight PBF though. To me Mosley is what Floyd could be if he had any balls. Mosley fights to win and wants to land punches not dodge them. PBF wastes his talent in my opinion by being too defensive. PBF needs a mean streak.
:coolclick: I agree his stamina problems are overplayed slightly. He's not like Cory Spinks who is often completely out on his feet.Quote:

Oscar has showed good to average stamina in past he showed good stamina in Quartey and Vargas fight where he had very good spells in both fights late and then theres his stamina problems with Tito but i think anyone would be tired after all that running he was doing he has showed in few fights that his stamina let him down but overall his stamina is decent and in some fights its really good it just depends how hard Oscar works on his stamina or what kind of cardio work he does.
I guess the obvious answer is WIN. :P
But i agree with CMM i can't see how DLH could do any better and now that PBF has had a good look at DLH it's more likely that he would dominate a rematch. I personally don't feel the need for one, Floyd won, he beat him, it's over, time to move on and focus on the current fighters in their prime who can give us truly exciting fights (IMO).
Use the Jab a lot more than he did in the first fight! Work on the stamina, it's always been a problem with DLH and no doubt the Floyd camp knew it too. He must be more aggressive early (what was that first round all about?) I'm not sure he would do any better! I think PBF would win again.
What Could Oscar Do Better In The Rematch With Floyd ??
Nothing...scratch that...he could call up Harry Potter or one of dem junior wizards or witches for some kinda youth potion.
Seriously though...that fight wasn't nearly as close as most Oscar fans/Floyd haters said it was. Things sounded & looked a lot different from ringside than most televisionists thought & saw...really. Floyd let Oscar do a lot more than Oscar did...if that makes any sense.
Floyd got past the jab & all the flurri-less flurries.
Oscar of old MIGHT have been able to contend with Floyd...but the rematch will still be the same...after the rematch...then the chump ass governing bodies can demand the rubber match so that Oscar can lose once again to set up the Floyd vs Mosley match...after that loss for Mosley...
Well...the world can begin the hunt for the next big loser. ;D
The best thing Oscar could do, is not show up. We all know he wants money, he can't beat Floyd, so why not get a big check fighting Tito, and trying to avenge his loss. Priod.
Thought the fight was a bit flat in my opinion , nobody really taking charge of the match .. Oscar seemed to bully Mayweather for portions of the fight. and when Oscar tired in spots that’s when Mayweather came on , but there was nothing sizzling about the match. It was slightly above average . nothing more, nothing less. .. the fight was closely contested from my vantage point. after watching it on T.V. I still feel that Oscar won however the lack of the Delahoya jab kept Floyd in the hunt. When Oscar did throw the jab the fight was easy for him.. Why Oscar abandoned that weapon is beyond me. ?Quote:
