Hopefully they can get him a Mexico City fight. It sucks so much that Oscar and Arum can't make a matchup. Though, Marquez would get that shot first regardless. What I really want is a rematch between Marquez and Barrera though, I hope it can happen.

Barreras probably only got 1 more fight left in him anyway , regardless of the promoter . He throws alot less than he used to and he doesnt like getting hit anymore and he isnt as keen to go to war . He has been such an amazing warrior though that it wouldnt surprise me to see him turn back the clock and hand out a boxing lesson to Manny Pacquiao in his last fights .
Greats always have 1 last great win in them and I think this is Barreras .

Towards the end of his career , Jones was getting knocked out by guys like Morales , Ingle and Mckinney and that was years ago . Plus Barrera got his revenge over Jones in the rematch but the judges didnt give him the nod .

I still want to see a Barrera: Pac rematch. GAME made the point that every great fighter potentially has one last great fight in them and im inclined to go with that. Especially when it concerns Barrera.
In my eyes he beat Marquez last time out, so ive no need to see a rematch...
A Pac fight is the career send of that does it for me.

MAB JMM2 would be good but JMM won comfortably in the end and has the W to prove it.
Manny would destroy MAB at this stage in their careers. mab said the camp for his fight with jMM was one of the best he has ever had and although he fought well in the beginning,he realised he could not stand and trade nor could he outbox JMM. Pacman would crush him. MAB waited way way too long to rematch Pac,Manny is on the up,MAB is on the slide.
If MAB could not outbox what is in effect a counter puncher turned pressure fighters(for a handful if fights) in JMM,how is he going to beat the monster Manny?
The signs of MAB slipping can be seen in ihs first fight with Juarez which although he won,was far far too close against a limited fighter like Juarez. MAB has had a great career,a legend but he should take an easy fight and retire or retire altogether.

He performed poorly against Juarez in the first fight. But he showed he can still raise his game when it matters as he did against Marquez. To say he is on the slide is to suggest he got roundly whipped by Marquez which just wasnt the case.
One last fight how the legend sees fit...I see no issue with it being Pac if thats what he wants to do...

They robbed Barrera in the 1st fight with Morales and he had to beat him twice in rematches and I think they want to see the same thing happen here . They want a trilogy out of Barrera but he doesnt need to fight Marquez again . People saw him statistically outpunch Marquez aswel as drop him so the big fight out there for him is Pac .
Its your opinion Pac will destroy him . Pacs a guy with mixed results himself and if a washed up Morales can beat him then Barrera certainly can

As much as i lvoe barrera (and he is my fav fighter of all time) i don't think he has the heart, hunger or desire to reall beat pac or JMM again...
In his last 3 fights he has shown he wants to box his way to a win. Whislt i thought.hoped he was saving him self the JMM fight showed he just doesn't want it like he used to anymore... whislt i will always consider barrera a better fighter than pac, right now barrera can beat him, but i just don't think he wants it enough anymore...

Right,so the W means nothing...... Robbed MAB in the first EM fight?? You need to go and watch it again,it was a close fight,there was no robbery and if there was,it was as much of a robbery as the second fight going to MAB ??? People also saw MAB trade with JMM,get the worse of it and get on his bike. He was also nearly stopped. I don't see any mixed results from Manny. Pacquaio lost to a superb Morales the first time and he stopped that same superb Morales the second time.
My point is MAB is a legend and a great fighter but he has wasted time fighting Peden and Mfana when he should have fought Manny. He didnt and has not looked the same MAB. He needs to retire and if the Manny fight comes off,you'll see why.
How would MAB beat Manny>? And Manny's losses apart from the one to EM are irrelevant,most where when he was weight drained,fighting at 112 etc.

i have to agree with miles here - i thought barrera was well unlucky in he JMM fight and was robbed bad in the first EM fight... i have watched that fight a shit load of times and never once even seen that as an unlucky for barrea, always has been a robbery IMO, one of my mates who loves boxing and disslikes barrera will swear down bareera got robbed in that fight
Prime forprime, barrera would out box, out think outmoved and out skill manny in every single way...
he has the chin the take his hits, the power to hurt him and the overall game to beat him... it would not be a walk in the plak, but manny would not beat him prime for prime. even now i think barrera would give him a tough fight..

Yeah good points there. He doesnt wana fight anymore like he used to . I was watching the Mckinney classic yesterday and it was like watching a different fighter .
Barrera used to be able to brawl for 12 rounds , then he could box for 6 brawl for 6 , then he could just box for 12 now he has trouble just boxing for 12 . I think he has had his mind on retirement for a while and the hunger isnt there . If it was , we would have seen it in the Marquez fight cuz that was a rival Mexican , he should have been motivated . He still won , but he didnt fight it out , it seemed like he wanted to do it the easy way

You obviously don't read my posts properly,I always make sure I respect MAB and his accomplishments. And to say he "owned" Morales 3 times is nuthugging of the highest order,those were 3 of the closest fights anyone has ever seen,EM could easily have got the nod in them.
When has MAB proved "me" wrong,I thought he gave Junior Jones a close fight,the second time,I thought he beat Jurez easier than the scorcards suggested the first time too. Just because I don't nuthug like you does not mean I dont' respect him.
And yesJMM easily outboxed Pac,but as a natural counter puncher,something which he excels in and has been doing his whole career. No one said Manny is invincible,least of all me,but I'm not so blind as to see that MAB would not last with him.

Every time you reference Mab it is done in a derogatory manner , i've noticed it on other threads too . I belive its cuz you are a fan of Morales . I cant think why else . Blind following ? Read my post to Preme - I am as realistic as you can get and I post things that are factual .

You obviously don't read my posts properly. If I was derogatory towards MAB,I'd come out and say but I'm not therefore I don't. I'm just not a blind nuthugger that's all. And Manny is beatable,Erik Morales and JMM proved it. MAB hasnt'... CC on me though,we'll just agree to disagree. Oh and I picked Morales but I had the third fight a draw,what's your point? Barrera does have trouble boxing at pace for 12 rounds these days so yes it would be optimistic to suggest he can beat a guy who fighst at pace but weve seen bigger shocks and anything Morales can do Barrera can do better ;) CC bk

MAB was a legend and sure famer same with PAC, EM.
At 19, pac is a world champ beating linear champ sasukul, beat p4p entrant ledwaba @122 beat a legend barera @126 and beat #1 fighter @130 in morales. FYI its the quality of an opponent that matters, that is no arguement. It is what historians and boxing critics holy grail when analyzing how great a fighter is. BTW if you dont know, you have to win that fight..still depends on how you dominate a great opponent.
Mckinney is on the downside of his carreer, Sanchez was just a prospect and a B fighter. MAB his biggest win was against hamed- in not so impressive fashion, Morales was controversial and close, Peden was a champ trying to cash in after he did get lucky against campbell, Robbie wasnt that good either and was kayoed recently by a filipino guy journeyman, Juarez is really nothing special as soto kick his azz already, Jones humilate him. Pac rape his azz infront of his crowd.
Now game, you tell me how you gonna analyze those facts? MAB did well in span of 18 yr.. a above average good fighter cannot accomplish what he had done. Now compare him with Pac as to know why Marco, Erik, and Manny are on the same boat... coz your arguements are a lil' lame... if isnt.. THEN YOU ARE HATIN'.
