heres my reply
the funny thing is people in roys lower weight class could not catch roy with the jab. but the funny thing is your telling me holmes would.
roy was a speed demon. that was faster in his prime then ali or holmes. i feel ali would have a hugh advantage because i feel he was quick enough to it roy. and would have over powered roy he would be stronger.
but i feel if spinks could beat homles then roy would box his head off.
i feel agaisnt fighters that are brawlers like tyson the roy that moved up to heavy would have been knocked out cold
pound for pound
back to ali vs jones
now if we talk pound for pound roy would have had all the advantages over ali. maybe not chin. but roy in his prime never had problems with chin. think of roy jones a natural heavy weight. he would have tyson power in both hands. his speed would be abit slower maybe as fast as ali. who is not slow by any means. he would be a complete beast.

nah roy's not natural heavy..his bones are too small esp in his wrists...that's why he constantly hurt them from time to time..i think roy's a SMW by nature....and at heavy he would have eaten ali alive with lead left hooks...

Roy was exceptional you know i think that im big fan of Jones but he wouldn't beat Holmes no way too many things to overcome.

Uhh your talking about when Holmes was 35 and 36 against Spinks and still should of won both fights hell if your bringing up fighters past there prime what about Tarver vs Jones ?? and to say he would have Tysons power at hw is ridiculous it really is im sorry but you don't know much about history about boxing nor have you watched enough Holmes for a statement like that you made.

Jones power wouldn't be enough Holmes took Earnie Shavers best and Cooneys and Nortons
Jones didn't have footwork really and Holmes only ever struggled with someone who danced or gave him alot of movement around ring and Jones never really did
and flatout he is NATURAL MIDDLEWEIGHT THIS IS RIDICULOUS MATCH UP IT REALLY IS.

Past his prime against Spinks .... and he still won both fights to 90 percent of public Holmes was the one being aggressor vs Spinks and won both fights Spinks didn't outbox Holmes at all and i doubt you have ever seen those fights to be honest as i said again if your talking about Holmes past his prime how about Tarver koing Jones and Johnson koing Jones if they can do that Holmes would right ??

Holmes dominated Shavers in both fights won every round in both fights except for the 7th round in there rematch and Shavers caught Holmes with one of the hardest punches ever in hw history got up and dominated the fight and again i see you haven't watched Holmes fights just clips so you base judging fights on clips firstly Witherspoon is very skilled fighter do you know how good he was when he was younger ?? he was 6 foot 3 Holmes had some problems but still won Holmes battered Cooney to a pulp on to the next fight Norton vs Holmes one of the finest hw fights ever 15th round was one of greatest rounds in hw history Norton also gave Ali 3 tough fights and imo Norton should of won 2 out of 3 fights Norton is nothing like Jones he had crab style defense and Holmes still won by 2 rounds Holmes dominated Cobb 15 rounds to 0 Holmes had trouble with Weaver but still koed his a** and onto Ruiz vs Jones ?? i see Jones tagged with right hand that shook him i don't see what these clips are proving and proves my point you have never seen Holmes fight just clips and thats bad judging fights on clips.

Uhh i have 30 + Holmes fights i don't need to watch the clips i've seen the fights enough you haven't seen the fights and base it on clips actually watch the fights watch how Holmes schooled Shavers twice and skill he shows doing it and Jones held his hands down and got shook by the slow Ruiz and proves what exactly ??

I'm a huge Roy Jones fan, but what is with claiming that Jones would beat all these great HWs? If you think he can beat Ali and Holmes at HW than you must think he was the greatest HW of all time, when all he did at HW was beat Ruiz.
Roy was not a HW fighter, being as talented and fast as he was he probably would have won some early rounds but common, he'd wilt under the HW pressure.

There was not much in it neither guy landed much but Holmes was able to tie Tyson up and stop his attack for most of the rounds it was pretty even but like i said it wasn't prime Holmes he was 38 2 weeks to train and been out of the ring 2 years and its shocking that he took on prime Tyson without any warm up fights or proper training that still shocks me he must of knew it would of been miracle at that point in his career with no warm up fights or ect to have beat prime Tyson.
