Shannon Briggs vs Ibragimov Spoilers

I see he lost did he look any good or was he his normal rubbish self and did Ibragimov impress ??

And the former champion claimed he was still feeling the effects, saying: "I have been taking all kinds of antibiotics. I couldn't train for the last two weeks.

I really didn't want to fight, but if I pulled out they threatened to sue me and they would have stripped me (of the title)

Ibragimov was very impressive. Looks like being trained by a Mayweather paid off. He fought like Floyd...seriously!

He was way too quick for Briggs, leapt in landed some stinging combinations and got away fast. Kind of like Ruslan Chagaev managed against Valuev but an even better performance.

I didn't think he had it in him to be honest.

Briggs was crap, same as he was against Lyakovich but Sultan deserves a lot of credit. I really enjoyed watching him.

Briggs should quit with the excuses...by all accounts he was awful, and besides the last second KO last time out he has performed pitifully twice on the trot....

Sultan is a very decent fighter and did exactly what Lyachovich failed to do...

Im pleased for the guy...

So disapointed with briggs..What a waste

Briggs won the first round.. He showed he could take away rounds, and that he could hurt him a little..even when not throwing big shots..

I scored the second round even..Nothing really went on aside from shannon jabing out and sultan would jump on him for a second or two here and there but would be hit back..

And then shannon did nothing for the rest of the fight.. He wasnt even trying to knock sultan out in the last round when he needed it.. I was screaming at him to just let his hands go..
But no.. sultan couldnt even hurt him and he stil did nothing.. Just shows shannon doesnt deserve to be the champ..

All in all fair play to sultan..Im not a fan but maybe he'll actually fight when he enters a fight..

Im kinda interested at todays heavyweight champs.. the likes of chagaev and sultan are far from untouchable and are good fights for new faces to get into the mix and earn a title..

Would really like to see skelton fight either one of them

Well that sucks. I like Briggs, he's got a lot of talent and power, too bad he failed to use it in this fight. 270 is just too damn big for him. Ibumimov proved me wrong I guess. The Russians are takin over the division.

;D Brewster, I can understand, but i read that Vlad's next fight would be with Rahman, if that's true, I'm dissappointed. Instead of fighting the guys that just lost to the new champs, he should be fighting the champs. We can only hope and pray I guess, because someone or something is preventing a unification. The revolving door that keeps letting new champs in doesn't help, but i have a strong feeling that the unseen entity behind this madness is the one and only Don King.

Shannon Briggs

he didnt do shit

ibragimov DOMINATED him

he also knocked him down in the late rounds but they ruled no knockdown cuz briggs tried to hold himself up by grabbing ibragimov and when he fell anyway it looked like he was pushed, but he wasnt

I picked Sultan to win but he did it in a much more calculated way, didn't take to many unecisary chances just fought a very intelligent fight.The interview with him was interesting, he didn't seem very happy with his performance he wanted to give the crowd a more pleasing fight, that is what I like to hear and shame on Briggs for actually thinking he won the fight with his comments before the scores were read.

Well I don't know what fight Mr Rivera was watching giving 5 rounds to Briggs!I had the same scoring as Carter did with round 1 and only 1 going to Briggs, and that is being generous. :)
