Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
What do you guys think?? He certainly seems to be a big hitter and he took some big shots in his last fight at CW. I think he potentially is the best young heavyweight in the world..
Certainly Britains best hope to win a version of the Heavyweight title.

Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
.....you Brits can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled first!
Haye can't fight the big boys but he could be tough for Chagaev and Sultan
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
i think potentially haye can be our our next lewis. potentially

Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
yep hes defo the best we've got at the minute. With the state of the division so bad, i dont see any reason this boy cant be world Champion in two years, also got a lot of time on his side.

He was young inexperienced and wasted too much energy he was battering Thompson from pillar to post but Thompson managed to hang in there and win the fight and make Haye gas out i tell you what did you see his last fight at hw ?? impressive if you ask me great power he could ko alot of crap hws at moment i tell you that he has improved a hell of alot since Thompson he paces himself more looks for openings he is overall alot better than he was vs Thompson.

He went all out and tryed to stop him, hes more mature now and he knows not to go in and try and KTFO a very very experienced fighter. I think that loss was good for him and look were he is now... one of the biggest names at CW and potentially HW. I think he could maybe be a champion....if Briggs can be, Haye surely can be!

He still got knockedout by a 40 year old journeyman with negligable power, and that at Cruiserweight
Klitschko hits a wee bit harder then that

Thomspon wasn't journeyman he was former world champion and we wern't on about Haye vs Wlad but surely he could beat 90 percent of hws i mean Briggs ?? he would ko him in about 4 rounds Briggs is horrible.
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
Hayes matxhmaking has improved thats the truth. In all honesty when the shit hits the fan he cant fight, at first I was big on him the signs are there hes a good on top fighter end off.

40 years old 33-6,and 24 KOs is just about Journeyman
And yeah Briggs is carrying too much muscle, but he isnt champ anymore, and only got the belt on a lucky shot

33 wins 6 losses 24 kos is pretty good record if you ask me its not bad at all he was former world champ yes he was old but he had more experience and he survived early onslaught and made the inexperienced Haye worn out then he took advantage and Haye was stopped when corner threw in towel i believe which i think was little bit premature.

Yes he had faults but he was pretty decent he was normally pretty durable his record is quite good it isn't journeyman record by any means and like i said Haye only had like 9 or 10 pro fights vs Thompson they put him in too early with very experienced and tough Thompson.

Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
The cat wasnt no journey man he was a bloody good fighter! ask Rothmann, that was a bloody good match up!

A bloody good fighter doesnt get knocked out by the likes of Yawe Davis,or Franco Wanyama
And the fact that those kind of lesser lights could take him out, what makes ANYONE think Haye has the power to compete at the HW division, other then him being British

And Briggs got tkoed in 3 by Darroll Wilson got a gift decision off a 47 year old Foreman who was robbed and plus Briggs just sucks so why can't Haye ?? he had a fight at hw in his last fight guess how long fight lasted ?? 1 round.

A punch is a punch and if it wobbles you, your gona fall! i think Rothmann was good to be honest, he wasnt the best but still he was good! I think he does, that KO win in his last fight was a good one, the opposition will surely be better in his next one, but a start is a start!

Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
that loss against Thompson was a blessing in disgise, he shuch a better fighter now.
My god Haye has KO'd every fighter he's been in with, bar Thompson, its gota be said that he's got the power for heavyweight, and i reckon he can take Heavyweight punches as well....
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
i do think haye can win a hwtitle but i have to say i dont no how the geezer he knocked out manged to avoid ne quality fighters for long enough to get a record like his i mean the best hed fort b4 that was audley nd he got knocked out
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
What is it with you Brits?
You get rabidly behind anyone from the Isles
It would be like me saying Jeremy Bates will be the next Ali,just because hes from WV,when in reality hes a club fighter that got tuned up by Holyfield
Or saying Christie Martin will rise again because shes from Bluefield(so you know how close that is,we did the shopping in Bluefield today)but the reality is,she's old and should be fighting 20 pounds lighter then she is
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
Haye has a shit chin, he has been put down more than one time agasint less than average fighter sin sparring...
Whislt he claims he is weight drained at cruers and the step up to heavy will see alow him to do more i don't buy into it. He will get sparked out more than once at heavy..he isn't the hardest guy to hit either, ithink valuev would beat him, peterwould batter him, wlad - that fight is laughable... chagev maybe style wise he could get that belt but he will amount to little...
was a timei was a big haye fan, whislt i still like the guy i don't buy into the hype and don't see him going as far as people think -he will be a tommy morrison type fighter... exciting coz of his power, but expect to watch him spend a fair amount of time on his ass

Its nothing to do with being British its to do with how bad hw division is and really and truthfully anyone has a chance Haye has good skills and great power he could cause some troubles in hw divison and just because he is British doesn't change a thing its really how bad hw divison is no one is saying he will unify and beat all champs but surely if Briggs can win title then Haye has a chance ??

Clean up the division would kind of indicate that, wouldnt it?
The title is can he clean up the division, not eventually get a title
-

not as if wlad has a great chin either

The question was can he no one else has said he would but he might give some of other champs few problems which isn't exactly impossible considering the extreme lack of talent in hw divison at moment.

Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
If Haye lands clean on Wlads,Sultan and Ruslan jaws with one of his Haymakers its thankyou and goodnight boys only main threat is Peter if he wins WBC i think Wlad is the weakest champ
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
Haye may be able to jump on the heavy-weight champ merry-go-round, but he won't clean up the division. Sure, hay-makers can ko people, but when your d isnt that good, you get kod.

Haye is king of the bum fights.LOL the ones he beats have nice looking records till you look at their opponents they have fought for example look at his last great victory over Tomasz Bonin ,now look at Tomasz Bonin's opponents all BUMSnow go down the list.David Haye is at the pinnacle of his career.
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
Haye wont clean up the division, he wont be our new Lennox Lewis, but he will certainly whack out someone for a heavyweight belt somewhere along the line.

I believe this to be an accurate assumption....good to beat most..not good enough to beat the best..he will do enough to get a shot..then get KTFO....

Have you ever seen Haye Lyle he has got talent and damn can he bang he could ko over 90 percent of hws easy he would mop up Harrison Sprott Williams and Skelton easy.
Yes and I add "who are they"?....I've seen Haye, he's got pop and everything but he's no Evander Holyfield. He could do better than the other British heavyweights but clean up the division?!?!?!
Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Sam Peter,.....I mean there are a group of big guys that would give Haye a ton of trouble.
Being hit by a cruiserweight is different than being hit by a heavyweight, I think Haye will agree if he ever fights on of those guys

Holyfield was special....a fighter like that only comes around every so often..15-20 yrs...Haye is NOT Holyfield....nor does he look like Holyfield....Holyfield was a BEAST!!
-
Re: Can haye clean up the heavy weight scene???
I only bring up Evander because many said he was too small (inspite of his 6'3 stature) and Holyfield could take a punch from ANYONE
