CALZAGHE FANS DON'T BE MAKING EXCUSES IF KESSLER BEATS HIM

Now im not a Calzaghe fan but if he beats Kessler i will hold my hands up and say Calzaghe is a great supermiddle champ i recognise Kessler as a really good supermiddle champ so if Calzaghe beats him their will be no excuses on my part hope you Calzaghe fans feel the same.

trust me dude if CALZAGHE loses all people will say is he past it and kessler in his prime i bet you money that will be the case if they ever match and kessler wins even though is kessler a good fighter.

Yeh agreed - I personally can't see how Calzaghe's hands can hold up to another 12 round battlelike he will face with Kessler. But if they do I can't see him losing.

If Kessler wins fair and square, I will make no excuses and give him his props.

80% of the Calzaghe fans are just on the bandwagon anyway, they'll jump onto the Kessler one quick enough. Calzaghe couldn't really sell tickets (even in Wales) until he faught Lacy (In Manchester ;) ) so if he does lose you won't get excuses, you'll get people saying he was just over rated, which will piss me off big time because both fighters belong in the top pool in 160-175, and would have at least a level chance at beating other guys around their weight (Winky, B-hop, Taylor, RJJ, Tarver, Johnson etc etc )

cant wait till Joe wins this (if it ever happens) because so many people were saying he was bottling it, now that hes shown he will fight Kessler, he's gona prove that he's the best fighter there's been at SMW.

Breaking your hand aint an excuse - you can't win a competetive fight without breaking your hands.

He won't 'lose' He may get retired ;)

I understand where you're comin from...but in boxing where your hands are the only thing used..if they are that bad he shouldn't fight..and sure shouldn't have that hanging around as something to use as reason why he looses IF he ever does.....i just don't want to see kessler win and have any credit taken from him by people popping up with his hands were hurt, he was drugged, the water wasn't the right tempature etc.....i actually don't think the calzagehe fans have too much to be worried about anyways joe knows how to win bad hands and all......

No excuses from me...we all know the risk of a hand injury. Its par for the course with Calzaghe at this stage.

Yes he suffers with his hands but is'nt it how you addapt as a champion if this situation happens plus am i right in thinking once a broken hand numbs up you can throw it hard again.

I agree with you, I was saying that bust up hands will not be an excuse from me. Calzaghe has won with damaged hands before and he may need to again. He knows the score with the hands...

A plan B should always in order, and to be fair Calzaghe can always adopt a plan B.

Still no news on the finalisation of this fight though.... :-\

he had to win a few times with broken hands and from what i can see it just stops hm going for a KO punch, he's still got speed and accuracy, just less power, broken hands will not stop him winning...

How can you expect anyone who has followed calzaghs in depth to not make an 'excuse' if he he losses in a close fight?

For someone to say he is washed up would be to far... but there are a few facts people will point and out and others need to understand.. it has been saidfor some time that his power is nothing compared to what it was and that is a massive thing to losse, his lack of sparring has resluted in IMO his timing not being as good as it could be as well... he will be pushing 36 by the time of his fight, and yet its ironic that you have said countless times about people calzaghe beat veing washed up when they were in the very very early 30's lol...

Joe isn't washed up that is true, and if kessler beats him its a damn good feat IMO but no way in hell is calzaghe the same fighter he was... he is right at the end of his career whislt kessler is bang on in his prime...

I disagree to the furthest extreme. Calzaghe BEATS kessler....Calzaghe knows the hand may bust but a great fighter will adapt and finsh the fight...

If he doesnt think he can do it then a fight should not be signed and he should retire...

Calzaghe is in no way stuill in his prime, that isn't even debatable IMO. He may not be punch drunk, he may still be able to take the hit he could in his prime..

but he has lost easily 50% of his power and that is MASSIVE hundreds and hundred sof rounds of sparring due to hand injuries and trying to pererve them...

So basicaly if kessler wins a close fight by one round - he ranks higher than calzaghe in the all time SMw list? does he fuck!
