Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
Watching more and more Jones fights its like poetry in motion in sport you only get these kind of athletes once in blue moon that are so much better than everyone else Tiger Woods Michael Johnson Michael Jordan Jones is such a great boxer and more i watch him the more it convinces me that he truly was the best ever at his weight class he beat Toney Hill and Hopkins so easy its just incredible he beats 3 future hall of famers so easy i can't remember a fighter doing that before i would just like to finish off by saying p4p fastest boxer ever and if he wouldn't of moved down so quickly i could have honestly seen him probably getting very close to the top 10 of all time if not get into top 10 what a talent shame he has gone but what a great talent he was to watch in his prime shame you only get these type of rare athletes once in a blue moon but when they come along you know you have watched something special.

Not seen a lot of him really, just you tube fights. Can anyone post his most impressive fight? I don't seem to find him as impressive as everyone else. Feel like i'm missing out on some amazing performances.

Re: Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
While I am a massive RJJ fan...I have never felt that he was a pleasure to watch. While I do think that he's amazing...I just don't go apeshit like everyone else does over what he pulls or whom he pulls it against.

Re: Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
Yeh he was amazing - a shame that he messed arounf with his weight which undoubtedly caused his demise. I remeber watching him school Toney like it was yesterday - pure genius.
Hard to find any Light Heavy in history that could live with him

To be honest BIG H imo no one at Lightheavyweight or Supermiddleweight would have beaten him imo.

I agree - I still think Monzon & Hagler would've been great fights at Middle though

Not seen Monzon can't comment but i think Gerald would be very tough for Jones.

Re: Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
yea roy is a pleasure to watch even when getting knocked out. don't get me wrong I like roy the ooh and aww he does is great and all but I don't know why but this whole time between bhop and roy I always get more excited to watch a bhop fight. I guess I enjoy the nasty attitude of bhop instead of the grin and sticking out your tonge attitude of roy.

Lol yea that was pretty bad beat down its kind of beatdown that you say ouch and look away from the tele and put the little ones like my baby cousin to sleep because its too much violence for the little ones eyes ;D

Re: Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
Just watching Hall vs Jones and Jones reactions are so quick he is holding his hands down and hall is missing with his jab all the time plus loved them knockdowns in first round that was some awesome power by Jones.

And Jones said that he didn't want to fight Pazienza because he didnt want to injure him badly in case he wasnt all the way recovered so he held back. But apparently Vinny was fine because he still went on to have a good career after that, Jones was just a class higher.
Ah yes that was the fight where he didnt get hit in a round.

Re: Roy Jones Jr Is Such A Pleasure To Watch
Nice to see you back Starr anyways i will get the Vinny fight after im finished watching Hall one i gotta see that round when he didn't get hit with a punch that sounds amazing.

::** blah blah blah.
ok the man had reflexes like a cat and could KO guys from from behind his back while standing on one foot with his eyes closed. He also showed some really nice break dance dance moves over the years. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the man was a hot dog 90% who mocked his opponents because he was that good. Waited a long time to see him get smacked down. Thanks Antonio!!

The man was a great athlete im sorry if i feel that way i feel same way about Michael Johnson who was so much better than everyone else and had unique style like Jones and yes it took him moving all way down from Heavyweight to Lightheavyweight for Tarver to beat him ::**

Actually Jones had three tries, and won the first one, so I don't think the excuse holds water. Don't get me wrong, Roy Jones the athlete was great. Roy Jones the man was just too damn cocky. Kind of reminded me of Ricky "and now I am the greatest of all time" Henderson. :puke:
You talking Michael Johnson the 200 & 400 meter sprinter? Yah, he was great.

Yes im on about him bro he had such unique running style with his head back i also heard he spent more time off the ground than anyone else amazing athlete was Johnson.

It's a good thing for the USA Johnson was there when he was, I don't think people "down there" were too happy that a Canadian was world record holder and olympic champion in the 100m. "I know, lets break from tradition and switch the world's fastest man title from the 100m to the 200m." :) no matter, it's old news now.

i'm from "down there" and i disagree..i loved donovan bailey, because i ran from track 8 years old through college...and he erased the sour taste of ben johnson...also i knew before michael even opened his mouth that donovan was going to beat him in the 150...at that time bailey had the WR in 55m,60m, and 100m either way it went he was going to be winning after 100m and mike wouldn't have caught him... true sprinters don't use a curve to their advantage they sprint a straight line....

his running style was actually textbook..everyone should have the same posture when running but maybe that's why he was so good and no one has been able to match him..BTW i think 19.32WR in 200m will stand until the end of man kind....
