some guys never quit yet they never put much into thier careers when they were in thier prime.. That is why guys like McCall or Witherspoon fighting on I do not get. They sort of were flakey. The reason why Hearns fighting on later at least doesn't make me crinch is because he did fight everyone in his career which he felt was important in his prime. I think he put his all into it when he was good, but Witherspoon and McCall did not in thier prime when it matters. . I think that is what fighters have to do. Fight guys who they can fight who can show how good they were in thier prime, not fight on and try to obscure how good they were by trying to win a title at 45 when they couldn't win the title at 35.. . As for fighting who gave there all when they were in thier prime. Hearns did that. Hagler did. We know how good his chin was and his stamina and all that. We learned him.. Delahoya also. Mayweather still we do not know about fully. He still has to be in the big fight where he is tested. Some people will say, maybe he will never be tested but they all are. I never thought Roy Jones would be tested, but he was.Quote:

I know hes got a granite chin. I think Oliver wins this one, he beat 2 guys that beat Sam already, Maskaev and JC Gomez. Knocked em out.

McCall
Peter
Rahman
Larry Donald
Maskaev
Greg Page
Ibeabuchi
Izon
Golota
Kirk Johnson
Mercer
Biggs
Botha
Briggs and a few other recognizable names.
He has fought 24 undefeated fighters.
I've seen every one of these guys fight, and have never heard of this guy. But I give gim props for fighting anyone and everyone, and even fighting back to back months, etc. Even though his record sucks, he obviously isn't scared of anyone. Just thought I'd share.
:coolclick: USA Loves The Klitschlkos, for bringing this up.
As for McCall, good luck to him, considering what Briggs has done, but I don't think he has it.
And, he even beat Vlad Klitchko conquerer-Corrie Sanders.
Wrong one cuz http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=007667 thanks for letting me clear this up ;D
Wilson also has an amazing chin
Fixed my post, thanks. Still, the competition that guy fought is amazing.Quote:

Maskaev would beat mccall now if they fought...even if Maskaev isnt champ and he loses his belt...i think he should try and get in with mccall and avenge that loss, he would have some pride in doing that and he could call it a day ?
Well Samil Sam throws about 25 punches a round so there is no chance that McCall gets seriously hurt.
He even cuold win
McCall didn't knock Gomez out. Rather, McCall was easily outpointed by Gomez (apparently - I have never seen the fight myself), but after Gomez tested positive for cocaine, it was changed to a No Contest. You of all people should know this :)Quote:

However, McCall would still find himself being behind Peter and Vitali in the line for a shot at the WBC title - or at least he should be behind those two.
Which, imo, also means that Maskaev does not hold a belt at the time McCall is ready for him.
Your right, I must have misread it off Boxrec , I think I confused him with Yanqui Diaz, who hasnt fought Sam. CC for setting me straight ;)Quote:
