Ive always liked Barrera's Left hook to the body.
I know its just one punch but he has used it so effectively for so long.
The Bodysnatcher McCallum
Mickey Ward?
Beat me to it i was going to mention him.Quote:

Id say McCallum might take it... Perhaps he didn't have the hardest indiviual body punches, but his overall body attack was perhaps the best ever imo. He was just a relentless attacker.
Is crotch area part of the (turso) body? Coz I would vote for Bobby Pacquiao too. ;D
Joe Frazier
also don't forget Camacho snr. he put great combinations of body shots together
Micky Ward
Julio Cesar Chavez
Mike McCallum
Marco Antonio Barrera
Shane Mosley
Roberto Duran
Roy Jones
Jirov
Henry Armstrong
Bernard Hopkins
Tony Zale
Carmen Basillio
Gerald McClellan
Jose Luis Castillo
Mike Tyson
of old probably chavez duran. of current cotto and hatton without a doubt

This is my vote. Hearns was the one who named him the bodysnatcher after he was sparring him alot. Tommy landed nice left hooks to the body also. He was not as consistent as McCallum though. He was such a good head puncher, he didn't bother with the body..Quote:

Micky Ward
Body punchers of late that spring to mind are Hopkins, Cotto, RJJ, & Hatton.
Julio Cesar Chavez was wicked in his day.
I would put put the body punchers that knew where to hit you and set up their shots over the guys that just aim to throw punches in bunches at the body.
1 well timed shot beats 12 rounds of shoe shine punches, just look at Hopkins number.
Ricky Hatton
mosely and cotto
i hate being late to the threads
agustus hmm
I'd add McGuigan to Ice's great list.
PAST: CHAVEZ
PRESENT: COTTO AND HATTON
FUTURE: REMEMBER THIS NAME!!! LAMONT PETERSON (NOT ANTHONY, LAMONT)
IMO of all time JC Chavez
Present, Barrera,Cotto,Hatton
JCC
Mike Macullum
Mike Tyson
and the present ones would have to be JLC,Hatton but easily top of the current pile,Cotto.
Mickey Ward
Harry Greb
Mike Tyson
Ricky Hatton
Here's why I am so impressed with Ricky Hatton's finish of Castillo, that now must put him alongside Hopkins McCallum, Ward, and Chavez as one of the greatest body punchers of all times. To land that shot on a great body punching MEXICAN makes it all the more spectacular and impressive! Cotto deserves a huge mention too as another possible member of that list.Quote:
