PBF? :(
LOL I should sad click you for that one. ;D
Floyd comes close, but as far as I can see Floyd did not defeat a reigning champ in the welterweights.
If I tell you something you can't laugh.
I've been looking to find the answer for about 2 hrs. now :(
How 'bout a clue....
But nothing that gives it away...
Maybe like the year he turned pro or the year he retired.
:)
He is Latin American
Roberto Duran?
ricardo lopez ?
Duran lost a title defense to Leonard
Lopez was champ in only two divisions.
He never lost a title defense
Nope.Quote:

I know, I know the answer cause it's a boxer I know really good cause I've made this anolgy on him BUT for some fwocken reason I just can't put the name to that fact.
But I know the answer... :(
Mick do you ever read your own posts?
WTF?
:lolhaha:
I'm laughing my ass off over here zzz :lolhaha:
I knew the answer all along I just needed to relax and think it carefully.
He's standing in my avatar pic. ;)
That's my boy... 8)
Mick you're killing me here, you're fucking killing me. I've searched at least 20 minutes for this, thought about all the great Latin American champs and am drawing blanks. 3 weight divisions is a fairly exclusive group, who is it?Quote:

Heh Heh considering all the multi title holders it's a damn good claim to fame.
El Flaco Explosivo is indeed the answer. :)
I'm genuinely angry about this, because Arguello really is one of my favorite fighters. A sharp shooter in every sense. Damn it >:mad
Someone remind me who was on here a few days ago saying Alexis wasn't great?
:beat:
Whoever it was he and JonesJrMayweather must be related.
Julio Cesar Chavez ???

Right you ar BestP4P Arguello was as humble as they come.
Arguello's accuracy would give Duran some serious problems no doubt. And I'm not sure Duran could walk through a prime Arguello's punches. Such a fascinating fighter, one I would love to see in today's game. I swear he has to be one of the most pin point punchers of all time.

Hahaha, well I should have expected as much from Taeth. Arguello could have beat Ali, Foreman and Jesus Christ all on the same night but so long as it happened before 1990 it didn't mean much.
Ok a little trivia of my own
Who was the first southpaw to fight for The World HeavyWeight Title
I know Michael Moorer was the 1st southpaw to win a title.Quote:

This one took some searching. It's Karl Mildenberger. 1966, which is a bit of a surprise, would have thought it would be someone earlier. Now I haven't researched the handedness of every heavyweight challenger in history, but I'll go with this.Quote:

Aside from Hopkins, Arguello and RMarquez name at least 2 more other fighters who lost their pro-debuts but still wen't on to become World Champs?

I happened to have boxrec opened to Mike Weaver when I saw this question. I'm sure I'll stumble accross others one of these days.Quote:
