Peter Manfredo & Aaron Williams Fight On ESPN2:WNF (Vid. of Aaron fight)

		http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=297748
He's newly signed to CES, who promotes Manfredo so when I found out Manfredo was ESPN2 I figured I would check and sure enough he was there. This is GREAT news, he is really going to open eyes. I think he is among the very best prospects in all of boxing right now. Posted about him loads before, finally get to see him again. Can't wait.
9 time National amateur champion from Kronk Gym, he is going to be something special.
*Changed the title a bit amat, hope you don't mind. :)

Never heard of him, but I look forward to seeing him tonight. They're actually showing WNF tonight, so I'm stoked. They're showing the Bute fight on Friday as well, better late than never although it didn't look all that interesting from the highlights I saw.

Manfredo mentioned in an interview he never got a warning from that British Ref., I would think he would at least tell him you gotta show me something , like most refs do. If thats true, it makes me even more skeptical of that stoppage.

Hopefully we'll get to see this Williams kid. I've about had enough of these broads fighting. I'm not even sure if one is a woman

Didnt find this womens fight very interesting. Watching Clampitt get popped in boobs a bit and couldnt help but wonder if women boxers get breast cancer more often from all the boob shots.

This Williams kid looks to have power, but I havent seen much defense. Tinsley got wobbled a few times, this is gonna be a knockout pretty soon. Tinsley has a shot if he wings a hayemaker, otherwise Williams is just gonna bury him.

He's got heavyweight like power. I hate the hands low style but hey it works for some. Tinsley was not much of a test but you cant take away from the outcome. Love that straight right, knocked him right out of the ring.

Williams looks like he has a lot of potential. Would like to see better defense, he looks like he can get hit easily.

Banks is totally outboxing Peter to begin the round it gets a llittle closer towards the end but Im giving it to Banks 10-9. Out jabbed and put some good combos that landed. Good opening round. Banks looks to be too fast right now, we shall see as the fight wears on.

Im loving this fight so far, great action. Its getting a little rough in there, and some late shots at the bell, bad blood. What else do you need ;)

Banks looks alot slower this round...Manfredo has taken the last two and I got it even now. Banks might have shot his load too early. He needs to start conserving it looks like he's in for a long night. Manfredo looked same pace didnt lose as much as Banks. Even.

		Banks is crap
The fact that Manfredo cant take him out is indicitive of what he is

Re: Peter Manfredo & Aaron Williams Fight On ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights

I think Banks looks decent, if had any power at all he would be alot better off.Especially for having no amateur backround and only 16 fights.

Re: Peter Manfredo & Aaron Williams Fight On ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights

UD 97-93 Manfredo Started off good, but faded and the last few rounds we're back and forth scoring. Manfredo dominated the middle of the fight by being physical Banks was real tired from the constant pressure early on. Decent fight. Manfredo's eye swole up good.

manfredo has mentioned he wants jeff lacy, and there is a possibility of that just by seein lacy at the fight tonight (at the casino). However, if lacy lands right hands like banks did, it will be a lot worse than a welt on the eye

Re: Peter Manfredo & Aaron Williams Fight On ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights

I like Manfredos work ethic, and being old school and all...but he needs to defend against that right alot better. Banks doesnt have power and he shut Manfredos eye, if it was 12 rounds that could've cause a stoppage.

Re: Peter Manfredo & Aaron Williams Fight On ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights

Manfredo looked bad in this fight. He looked slow, plodding, and his lack of power was evident. I couldn't believe how bad his jab was, lazy and inaccurate; he was just pushing it, no pop in it at all. I've seen him fight before and he's never looked that bad, almost like he overtrained or something and had nothing left for the actual fight - maybe it was the 3 fights in 3 months or something, but Christ if he fights Lacy or Green like that he's gonna get KTFO.

No way I missed that, Aaron Williams is my boy. He looked green still and he has that bow and arrow thing a lot of the amateur champion turned professionals are doing now, but I love everything he has to offer in the ring, the jab isn't fast but it goes top to bottom and from different angles. Loved it tonight, the right hand was really working for him.

Very true. I think the kid needs some rest. He fights Lacy or Green like that and he'll be decapitated
