WTF!!!!! They took ESPN CLASSIC OFF THE AIR WHERE I LIVE!!!
They took ESPN classic off the cable listing where I live....When I called Time Warner they told me they are not carrying it where I am....But it was there yesterday!!!!! >:mad >:mad
I could not get anything else out of the idiot from customer service........Anyone know anything more? or anyone with Time Warner having the same issue???

...I thought they did that here but nah they just moved it faaaaaaar up to channel 130 something.....SPIKE moved up.....I like my action movies and boobie but why couldn't they get rid of the Lifetime channel instead???

Lyle I actually think Lifetime is one of the better channels to watch GREAT movies that don't necessairly make it to the BIG media hype/promotion.
I've seen some great movies there one movie that has really stuck with me and I often recommend to people to watch is 'Human Trafficking'.

I like their Ringside shows but honestly the ones where the fighter they are covering is in the studio it's just one big lovefest.
The Prime Tyson show was great, excellent analysis and a balanced appraisal.
The George Foreman and Pernell Whittaker episodes though lost all credibility because the fighter was there and they didn't want to be critical.
They made Big George's title win at 45 out to be some kind of heroic legendary event whereas in fact he just got lucky with a punch after losing every preceeding round. He shouldn't even have got the shot anyway, he had lost to Holyfield and Morrison and wasn't even ranked to my knowledge ???
PLus at the end of that show Big George got his grill out and there was a nice 10 minute plug for his lean mean grilling machines. :-\

But there are SO-O-O-O-O-O many great fighters out there to cover. Why limit it to so few? It seems like they stay with the big heavyweights (with a couple of exceptions), or else go back to the black and white classics from the 50's or earlier. What about the Golden Era of boxing back in the late 70's and early 80's?

When they first started you would see fights from as back as they had film...then it became the Tyson channel........I love the ringside show on saturdays when there is a new topic....What I am going to miss the most is monday-friday I was guarenteed to see a fight from 8-9 pm :( :(

When the channel first went on the air, I said "great, now I'll be able to see the classic battles like Arguello-Pryor, Leonard-Hearns, Gomez-Zarate..." But when I started to see Ali fights just about every other day, and like you said, it became the Tyson channel..... I became a bit disillusioned.

What cable company do you have man? Because I thought the same thing but I ended up scrolling through all the stations and ended up finding it. it use to be on channel 26 for me now its on channel 152. I have Brighthouse cable company though here in Tampa. I would take a look through all your channels because I don't see why a cable company would take that station off ya know. Every night when I get home from the gym I turn on Stump the Schwab and then later on I watch the classic fight they have on. I would be pretty pissed if they took the station away.

Every night in June save for the week of June 25th (which is Holyfield week), there are new fights on ESPN Classic from the 80's, 90's and today. July also features several new fights including early fights from Wladimir Klitschko, Lamon Brewster, Antonio Margarito, Ray Mercer, Tommy Morrison and Bernard Hopkins.

You can call DirecTV and order up the Spanish package. Not sure how much extra it is but you can get Telemundo and Telefutra.

Albany NY.....I actually live just outside. I noticed something funny the day before. I turned on Nick for my son and this window popped up on my screen to start the show from the begining. I thought that the kids had ordered some type of new TVO type service so I called to cancel it. They told me at the cable company that it was a new thing they were thinking about offering but it was not charge.....You can start the show from the begining up to 15min into the show in case you missed the start?...so I was all gassed thinking what a cool feature and the lady on the phone told me it was a pilot trial type service that was being tested in my area....So here I am thinking what great thing this company offered and the next morning my ESPN classic was gone >:mad >:mad.......Damn Time Warner

What cable company do you have man? Because I thought the same thing but I ended up scrolling through all the stations and ended up finding it. it use to be on channel 26 for me now its on channel 152. I have Brighthouse cable company though here in Tampa. I would take a look through all your channels because I don't see why a cable company would take that station off ya know. Every night when I get home from the gym I turn on Stump the Schwab and then later on I watch the classic fight they have on. I would be pretty pissed if they took the station away.
I have Time Warner......I thought the same thing maybe a new channel line up ???
But I went through all 1300 channels >:mad >:mad

Albany NY.....I actually live just outside. I noticed something funny the day before. I turned on Nick for my son and this window popped up on my screen to start the show from the begining. I thought that the kids had ordered some type of new TVO type service so I called to cancel it. They told me at the cable company that it was a new thing they were thinking about offering but it was not charge.....You can start the show from the begining up to 15min into the show in case you missed the start?...so I was all gassed thinking what a cool feature and the lady on the phone told me it was a pilot trial type service that was being tested in my area....So here I am thinking what great thing this company offered and the next morning my ESPN classic was gone >:mad >:mad.......Damn Time Warner
Bro you live outside of Albany NY? I actually use to live up in that area as well. Do you know where Saratoga NY I lived there for awhile and actually grew up in Lake George NY. You live around that area? Thats still kinda crazy to me that they would just remove ESPN Classics though. I use to hate Time Warner though when I lived up there.

I'm not sure but I *think* I've read that there's someone else from Victoria on this board as well, but I could be wrong. I might be moving to Van in a year or two from school, but I might just go to UVIC instead.

It was channel 71....It still shows on the TV guide channel but on the cable guide it has nothing when I try to put on channel 71 it just goes to 72..........I want to protest
